So much more than words can transmit - Edit
One of the ultimate stand out vegan places I’ve ever been to in my life. The three of us had their famous £22 Sunday Roast extravaganza each selecting a different meat (roast chicken, lamb and turkey). You are also provided with a Yorkshire Pudding then it’s self-service vegetables and all the usual trimmings such as sauces, stuffing and lashings of gravy. I had a bit of everything, piled my plate high then proceeded to devour the whole feast with a pint of their delicious Posh Lager overlooking Petticoat Lane Market. Not a bad way to spend an early Sunday afternoon before hitting The Oval for some T20 cricket action.

Amazing Junk Food - Edit
I’ve read some reviews down voting Unity because of how unhealthy the food is. I find that confusing as it’s not been branded as a healthy vegan restaurant.
Read moreThe food here was amazing! I’ve wanted to go since it opened so I knew what I wanted to order. We had the lobster macaroni and cheese, a mock chicken burger, cheesy chips to share, with a oat latte and a hot chocolate. Food was insanely delicious. I’d definitely order the same again.
Some bad points hence the 4 stars…. The burgers don’t come with chips so we had to order a side. The chips were described in the menu as ‘super cheesy and smothered in our melty trio of cheese’ however the cheese wasn’t melted which the photos show. No biggie it still tasted good.
The portion of Mac and cheese was far bigger than I expected and I struggled to eat more than half; in hindsight we should have ordered it as a sharer.
The price is absurd, I’d have liked to have ordered the fish and chips but who can justify the cost at £17? Also to note the service charge of 12.5% is automatically applied to your receipt.
Overall I enjoyed it, but I do think there’s better vegan restaurants in London.
Pros: Good food, Friendly staff
Cons: Too expensive for what it is, Wait times , Burgers come on their own

Delicious food, kind staff, nice concept, beautiful place and warming atmosphere. I had a Redefine meat with bacon and the texture was just mindblowing. Unity Diner - Edit
Unity Diner has been on my list to visit ever since it opened, so on a trip to London it just had to be my first stop. I received a warm welcome from staff, service was efficient and I was not waiting long for my food to arrive. There are some nice choices on the menu, personally feel it could be a little more varied. It was always going to be the fysh and chips for me, although I tend to prefer banana blossom over what is quite often just a slab of battered tofu. This however was anything but that, how they get the texture of the tofu to mimic a flaky fish like texture is nothing short of magic! The chips were perfectly crunchy but fluffy on the inside, the tartare sauce creamy and flavourful served with a huge pot of mushy peas. I also opted for the Eton Mess which I am sad to say was a disappointment and in my view did not work as a dessert presented the way it was. It arrived in a large bowl with chopped up strawberries and a very watery syrup, which ended up sort of curdling the cream and making the meringues soggy. It wasn’t pleasant. I love the venue though and their ethos, a service charge is added to the bill but goes towards the running of the wonderful animal sanctuary in Notts.

Best restaurant in London - Edit
Tried the redefine steak, it was so good that I went every night during my stay in London! Also knowing that they are a non-profit and all proceeds go to a sanctuary is the best part! Staff and service was also great! Also tried the Piers Morgan’s Tears Mocktail and it was delicious!

Best vegan fish - Edit
This brilliant restaurant is fantastic and has the best vegan fish I’ve ever had. A huge portion of the classic ‘fish and chips’, made from tofu. Looking at the menu, there is so much else I wish I was able to try. Until next time Unity Diner!

High quality meals - Edit
The food was prepared perfectly and tasted really great. The 3D printed steak covered in facon and served with a couple of broccolinis, roasted mini potatoes, and peppercorn sauce was incredible and the waffles with chicken and bacon tasted great too, even though the waffles were very sugary (I liked the combo though and shared it as a main).
Read moreIt took some time for the food to come out but the service was friendly. It was really expensive given there's a 12.5% gratuity added (which goes to the sanctuary and staff, so that's good). This made the 3D steak nearly £30 though 😬 Not a place I could afford to visit often for that reason.

We loved this place. Really friendly staff, service was also quick, modern atmosphere and amazing food! We had some starters (the Mozzarella sticks! Amazing!) and then the tofish and chips and the "cod" filet, both were great! Would definitely recommend!

Amazing restaurant with many options - Edit
I took my mum here who is a keen carnivore, she had a ‘chicken’ burger with cheese, she is allergic to cheese so amazing for her to try a burger with dairy free cheese finally! We both loved our meals, the lobster Mac and cheese is awesome just a big portion so beware you may need to share! Fab staff and atmosphere and clean toilets. Will definitely be going back!

Not sure what was what - Edit
Service was a little slow, even though we were told we only have the table for an hour. We weren’t aware of the free Wi-Fi. I would really have liked to know what was in the food. The meat is 3D printed but I don’t know what it is. Don’t know what the salmon or lobster were. I had tofish and chips. I had a mocktail and that was very good. I think vegan fast food is not for me.

We tried the pan seared cod and the 3D printed filet mignon here. Wow! It was just like meat. The bacon on the filet was really impressive. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in London. There are so many things that look good to try.

A great all vegan place - Edit
Unity Diner is a lovely place in London for vegans. Probably most famous for being associated with Earthling Ed. The menu is full of options from salads, burgers, and redefine meat steaks. But the majority of people seemed to be getting the 'fish' and chips (including us). This was excellent

They were out of the savory items we wanted to try so we decided to just get dessert. The Black Forest cake was just ok and tasted old. The ice cream waffles and eton mess were very good. Staff was very nice.

What a great spot, donating 100 percent of their proceeds to animal related charities is incredible. The food? Wow. Tried their “award winning” fish and chips with a fantastic beer batter, the tartar sauce was unreal. For dessert, I opted for the waffle with ice cream and maple syrup. Incredible. My server was very nice and helpful as well, being able to accommodate me on a busy Friday!

Good food, prices and service not so much - Edit
Most of the food here is pretty epic. They really do prove that vegan food can be decadent and delicious, but I feel you don’t always get your money’s worth, for instance the calamari was very unremarkable. Also, we had a reservation and still had to wait a long time, and service felt quite rushed. Would still come back for the 3D steak that they were out of when we ate there.

Delicious food - Edit
First time at unity diner as we are not local and thoroughly enjoyed it. We chose the tofu bites to start and then tried the 2 3D printed steaks which were scarily close to real meat in taste and texture and had I not known it was a fully vegan establishment I would have been worried. We also tried the Mac and cheese which was also delicious. It was quite expensive but it’s something we have never tried before and are are certainly glad we did.
