wayyy best vegan bakery in Los Angeles! They have great ingredients, are allergy friendly, and are very kind people. Also they have a great assortment of food! I really really recommend this place to anyone who is in the area. Also the hours are reasonable ( unlike this one other bakery LA ). Anyway PLEASE GO HERE!! lol I cannot stress how awesome this place is. 💕💕💕

Hidden gem in a strip mall, this is an all vegan bakery that makes all kinds of baked goods (cakes, cookies, cupcakes, muffins, tarts) and has Mexican specialties like conchas and tres leches.

Amazing, Don’t miss out! - Edit
I LOVE this place so much. It’s in an unassuming little strip next to a Thai restaurant, but the things they make are all top quality. They have cream cheese danishes, eclairs, tarts, tiramisu, cookies, concha, tamales, and more. They recently started offering cheesecake and I ran over as soon as I heard. It is incredible. It is the first plant based cheesecake I’ve tried that tastes exactly like the stuff I remember from when I ate dairy. The shop is run by a small family and they are always so sweet. There’s nothing I wouldn’t recommend here.

Amazing vegan dessert & snacks!! - Edit
I go here on my way home from work and love the potato empanadas, chocolate cake, banana crème pie, and chocolate chip muffins! The cookies I tried have been okay, but the above items are my absolute favorites here.

So good - Edit
Don’t sleep on this place! They just added vegan cheesecake and it’s bomb. Their danishes are amazing too, as are the fruit tarts/pies. It’s family-run and most everything is fab! The brownies and cookies are my least fave.

I want to love it... - Edit
Went in for the 1st time and was very excited to spend some money and support a local vegan Mexican bakery! But, the kids of the owners made it seem like we were a huge inconvenience. We bought our stuff and ordered a Rosca then drove home and all said - welp that was a bummer.
Read moreI won't give anyone my business just because. I want to leave there feeling appreciated. It's a two way street. It's LA as well, I can go to 20 other vegan bakeries within driving distance or just save the money and stay home.
ZERO vibe in there. Almost like we were a bother.
Will take alot to get us or my clients back.
Pros: 100% vegan, Tastes great
Cons: Attitudes were terrible, Tight parking lot

I’m sorry to hear that was your experience. I’ve been there probably 40+ times and haven’t ever felt any bad energy from the family that owns and works there. Sometimes Maria has a hard time hearing with all the ovens and machines wizzing behind her. And I disagree about being able to go to many nearby places because this is one of a kind.

It was hard to choose because everything looked good, but I picked a concha. It was fluffy and not too sweet.

Excellent Opportunity to Try Mexican Desserts - Edit
I live near many Mexican bakeries but have never had an opportunity to try anything before visiting Toluca. A great selection of vegan pastries, cakes, and cookies, including a section for gluten-free treats. Enjoyed the GF Mexican wedding cookies, blueberry Danish, and Tres Leches cake.

Tastes Light - Edit
A few weeks ago I got to try a couple of their cookie varieties. Here's my Toluca Bakery review. Both the hametashan and the ginger n' cream cookies were very good. Tasted lighter and less sugary than your typical cookies. Really enjoyed them. Would like to try more of their other treats.

This place is amazing, I cannot get enough of it. From savory to sweet they have the bases covered to meet your needs for any time of day. Personal faves are the mushroom empanada, the elote, banana tart, and any cakes they have to offer that day. Grab a box of cookies (gf options available!!) to take home and share with your friends.

So good I couldn’t even wait to snap some pictures, but now a good excuse to go back! Bread pudding and tres leches cake were outstanding. The woman who helped me was the sweetest ever I just wanted to stay and talk baked goodies with her, ha! Everything looks amazing and can’t wait to go back. What a gem!

Amazing! - Edit
Great assortment of fresh baked goods (they were baking when I was there!). Everything reminded me of desserts I would pick up at my local Mexican market when I was a child. Cookies, pastries, tarts, etc. all vegan! It was easy to park, they take great COVID/safety precautions, and they were friendly.

Fantastic vegan challah! - Edit
Such sweet people who run this place and it feels so local and vegan-friendly! They’re doing an amazing job making all the heartwarming childhood treats you remember like Mexican empanadas and conchas as well as traditionally Jewish ones. A large selection of yummy pastries and cookies, and a huge emphasis on their vegan goodies. A big thumbs up!
