Amazing raw food...for most of the dishes

We ordered way too much for 4 - I’m quite amazed by the quantity of food with that price! Everything was very healthy, both by western and TCM standards. The Mexican lasagne was my favourite - so wholesome and flavourful and surprisingly refreshing. I think it set my standards a little too high for what raw lasagne should taste like. On the other hand, the SOL bowl was a little too... garlicky? But not to the point i couldn’t finish, and at some point it became my second dish because (as much as I hate to admit) it’s one of those dishes that just grows on you. I didn’t really enjoy the warmed quiche, and none of us really liked the mushroom gnocchi, but I think it’s just us not knowing how to appreciate dishes like this. I don’t like tiramisu due to the cocoa, but according to my parents... this is the worst tiramisu they have ever tasted. That said, they’re not vegan, and are definitely not a fan of raw cakes. The carrot cake, on the other hand, tasted somewhat milder and more wholesome, and the not-too-heavy take on a typically dense dish was what redeemed it and made it addictive.

Pros: Very healthy, Wholesome raw food, Amazing environment

Great raw food

The raw food here ia really tasty and they have nice sweets as well.
Nice space, two floors and very chilled/yogi atmosphere.

The dishes are kinda small but I was impressed on how I was satisfied after the burguer juice.

Can't give 5 stars because of the price tho, expect to pay around 100k for one dish juice.

Pros: Vegan, Raw, Atmosphere

Cons: Expensive

Pretty good

Definitely a nice, cozy place to eat with healthy food. Nevertheless, personally I prefer the Sanyuri Healing Food.

Pretty phenomenal

Usually I'm not too fussed about raw; it's good sometimes but not as satisfying as cooked. SOL was a shocker in that it was some of the best food I've eaten since going vegan. Gastronomic high point of three months traveling Asia, for sure. The SOL Bowl is the gem; a bunch of seemingly incongruous ingredients which actually make a harmonious whole for an unbelievable value. I recommend eating half of it part by part before mixing! The other dishes I tried, the brownie and the enchilada, weren't as filling but still delicious. The enchilada especially, holy crap. The only weak point is the apparent understaffing; if it's any kind of busy, you may have to wait several minutes for anyone to acknowledge your existence or fulfill a request. Seems to be a theme in Bali though.

Pros: The SOL Bowl, Delicious (especially for raw)

Cons: Can get costly easily, Slooow when busy

Just amazing raw food!

Don’t think I’ve ever had better raw food than here! And don’t get me started on the desserts! Best ever! Came back every day.

vegan paradise!

Gah, love this place!!! The SOL bowl is amazing, never loved a salad so much!! The food takes a bit to come out here but I assume it’s because they’re putting a lot of care and prep into each dish! Totally worth the wait!!

Pros: delicious

The Seeds of Satisfaction

While in Ubud we went to The Seeds of Life for breakfast. They have an extensive juice and smoothie menu, as well as lots of raw food options. The place is very chill and relaxing. We had a smoothie, a juice, the pancakes, and the scramble, all of which were excellent. The food did take a bit of time to come out. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

awesome raw vegan food

This place is just awesome! They have a huge vegan menu and everything you could possibly wish for. I had plate full off different salads, homemade crisp bread, hummus, antipasti and falafel. Well, the falafel weren’t really made from chickpeas and very hard, but everything else was great. Besides SOL offers a lot off teas, juices and so on. Go there and give it a try, it’s totally worth it.

first time trying raw

First time eating raw, we tried the burrito which probably was mainly lettuce. The bruchettas were delicious but they were probably to small for the price. Desserts were great.

Pros: Desserts

Cons: A bit overpriced as portions were a bit small

Really good

Really good place, I tried the raw lasagna and the Sol Jar and they were just amazing. A lot of choise for food and drinks. It's one of my favourite places in Ubud!

Surprising taste

I would surely recommend this restaurant. The decor is modern and relaxed (you can seat on cushions) and they have a huge menu. I had a healthy juice with carrot, turmeric, pineapple, orange and an Indian pizza. I was really surprised by the quality and the intensity of the flavours. The pizza was great and very filling, it's not big but all ingredients are concentrated. I had a hard time finishing it because I was full so fast (and I came in hungry!). The prices are also OK, not so different from any other vegan place in Ubud, plus this is raw food and it is usually more expensive.

first time raw did not disappoint !

Been vegan for over a year now but it was my first time eating raw food. I ordered the vege wrap and my partner ordered the tacos, the tacos were a bit small for the price paid but my vege wrap was lovely. The juices are big and taste so healthy. Good chill vibe throughout the place and I love the whole sitting on the floor. Very trendy spot with loads of raw options.

Pros: lots of options

Cons: some portions are bit small

Simply Amazed

I stumbled across The Seeds of Life while walking around and was so glad I did. The food was some of the best and of course freshest food I've had in my nearly 6 months of backpacking around SE Asia. I got the Raw Mexican Lasagna and wow. The flavors were so warm and rich. I'm now wondering what life would be like if I ate like this all the time. So good.

Pros: Delicious

Cons: A bit pricy for SE Asia standards

great price and food.

This place has the cheapest raw food in ubud, but also a little small portions. But the quality is so good that it makes up for it.

Superb Vegan Deliciousness

This was one of the best places I ate in Ubud.

My partner ordered the cauliflower and pesto gnocchi while I ordered the "bacon and eggs" burrito then we finished off with a mocca cheesecake.

The quality of the food was incredible - all raw and amazing. Everything was way beyond the usual 'substitute for meat' quality into actual gourmet 'what is this sorcery' terrain. This is the real face of the raw food revolution.

An easy ten out of ten for the food.

Pros: World class food, Completely raw, Very reasonably priced

Tiny Portions, Poor Service

The food here was OK but the portion sizes are way too small. We left here and immediately ate another meal somewhere else.
My wife ordered the Gnocchi. 9 pieces of 2cm x 1cm Gnocchi. We counted them. Imagine ordering pasta and getting 9 pieces of pasta. These are not some oversized stuffed Ravioli either. They are tiny little balls of Gnocchi.
Had we have felt inclined we could have stuffed the entire gnocchi dish in our mouths at once and still had room to chew. Ridiculous at the price.
I ordered the Burger with a side of Cauliflower Buffalo Wings. When the plate arrived there was no side of Buffalo Wings. Instead the restaurant had put a handful of stale crisps on the side of the plate.
When I inquired after the missing Wings I was told that they’d run out, as if that was the end of the matter.
After about 30 seconds of awkwardly explaining that stale crisps from a packet are in no way equivalent to the fresh roasted and seasoned vegetables that we’d ordered, we finally settled on exchanging the crisps for some fried tempeh.
5 minutes later we received a rice bowl with a 2cmm x 2cm cube of dry tempeh. The restaurant wanted to charge me an extra 10,000RM for the tempeh as it cost more that the packet of stale crisps. We refused and left.

Pros: Varied menu, No animals died

Cons: Tiny portions, Expensive, Glib, disinterested staff

Raw restaurant that I found very interesting. The menu is vast and they offer infinity options of teas and tonics, including a tonic bar. You should try the Naga Jar.

Cons: No coffee served

just amazing

We've been there twice cause it was so good! The banana pancake for breakfast are amazing! At the evening we tried different plates and they were all really delicious. Only the hummus we didn't like that much but we made the experience on different places in Ubud (maybe it's a different way than we are used to it).
