So fresh! - Edit
As far as raw food places go, this is the best I've tried, it's not the typical salad that leaves you hungry after one hour, the food here will fill you up for hours. Everything I tried was super fresh and delicious.

The reviews of this place are seriously mixed. Even in our party of 4, some people enjoyed it, others did not. What is undeniable is that their juices, kombucha and sweet treats and amazing!

Too Hippy Dippy for Me - Edit
This was the first restaurant we tried out in Ubud and not our favourite. Most seating is on the floor with cushions which was kind of fun at first but loses its charm when your waiting a long time for your food and aren't one of the lucky people with a wall to lean against. All the food is raw which was new to us but we were game to give it a go and ordered several juices, cold teas, pizza, laksa and the walnut pesto burger. The Laksa was just okay, although filling. The pizza was good but tiny portions (a single piece) and we had to order two second portions for the kids. My husbands burger, again was not bad but also not spectacular and left him hungry. After 90min and still no juices, we gave up and went elsewhere even though the desserts looked good. It was very busy and the staff were clearly trying hard accommodate but service was really slow. I appreciate what this restaurant is trying to do and if you're a raw vegan it might totally be a gem for you...just wasn't for us!

Das essen ist sehr lecker und Geschmackvoll, allerdings kam es kurz nach der Bestellung was etwas ungemütlich war. Dennoch ist es ein schönes Restaurant und angenehm zum sitzen.

Visually pleasing, but not my cup of tea - Edit
To be honest, I felt that the food looked more appetising than it actually tasted... It wasn't terrible, but I wasn't blown away... and afterwards, didn't particularly feel like I wanted to revisit.
Read moreRegarding the food - the spices were not well balanced in my opinion. Overbearing at times and just distracting at others. I tried the buffalo wings as they looked really good in the photos I'd seen, but frankly I wouldn't order them again as the cauliflower was, oddly, spicy yet bland at the same time, if that makes any sense! It didn't taste properly seasoned I guess. Had the samosa too (I was eager to try different dishes)... but again, it wasn't really to my liking. It was just okay, not particularly great (the outer layer tasted kind of bland and dry, and the veggies and salad were overpoweringly spicy). The beet juice was nice, but maybe a poor choice on my part, because there was a lot of spice in the food I'd got, and the juice itself tasted like it had a lot of spice in it too.
There is a lot of fabulous vegan food in Ubud - particularly in this neighbourhood (Goutama), so maybe my expectations were too high. I don't know. I was frankly disappointed by the food (and service) here, and doubt that I will visit again. One last thing... I don't know if I was just unlucky, but the staff member who tended to me on the day was not very friendly, which was a bit jarring as everywhere else I have been to in Ubud had super friendly staff.

Ok, not great. - Edit
We went there on our first day in Ubud and it was ok, but we found much better options elsewhere in Ubud (Moksa, Sage, Sayuri Healing Food, etc).

The juices are , the food is all raw and they have a different style of food each day. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff are very friendly. We came twice or three times for food but practically everyday for juices!

Good drinks, average food - Edit
Great juice and tea. We had the pancakes which were like dry biscuits. Just because you can make something look like a raw pancake doesn't mean you should. The granola was pretty good but nothing special. Overall we weren't inspired to come back.

We came, we ate, we left smiling. Tasty and filling, with enough spices. A good place if you can't decide whether you want a light lunch or big filling lasagna!

One of our two favorites in Bali - Edit
The Seeds of Life nails the travelers' restaurant formula, with a diverse menu of delicious and salubrious food served with warmth in a great hang-out atmosphere. The menu is mostly raw, but with some dishes cooked at low temperature to preserve the living enzymes.
Read moreThe results speak for themselves. We loved the warm gnocchi, Mexican lasagna, Bleu cheese rawvioli special, and the many delicious desserts. The only thing we found less than amazing (but still OK) was the tempeh satay bits. Fresh juices are also a plus.
There are four seating sections: outside in front, inside on the ground floor, the tea room further inside, and an open-air upstairs seating area (the breeziest on a hot day).
Service was warm and helpful, even if sometimes a little overwhelmed by the crowds at peak times. Prices are reasonable considering the quality (and a little more affordable than some comparable establishments in the area).
Enjoy!

SO MUCH FLAVOR - Edit
To be honest I’m vegan but never seek out raw food. This place blew my mind at how delicious everything was! I tried the SOL Bowl because it came with all kinds of things like coconut jerky, hummus, spirulina and way more. The portion was great and one of the best meals I’ve had on this trip. Definitely worth checking out.

Incredible food - go!!! - Edit
Try everything!! I had their daily special of rawvioli made with beets and cashew Gorgonzola and it blew my mind. The colours, the taste - absolutely unbelievable. Their dessert case is to die for. I had the tiramisu and the guy at the next table had to ask me what I was eating because I looked so happy. Prices are very reasonable given the quality and quantity of the food. Love the cozy and comfortable seating.

Amazing raw food...for most of the dishes - Edit
We ordered way too much for 4 - I’m quite amazed by the quantity of food with that price! Everything was very healthy, both by western and TCM standards. The Mexican lasagne was my favourite - so wholesome and flavourful and surprisingly refreshing. I think it set my standards a little too high for what raw lasagne should taste like. On the other hand, the SOL bowl was a little too... garlicky? But not to the point i couldn’t finish, and at some point it became my second dish because (as much as I hate to admit) it’s one of those dishes that just grows on you. I didn’t really enjoy the warmed quiche, and none of us really liked the mushroom gnocchi, but I think it’s just us not knowing how to appreciate dishes like this. I don’t like tiramisu due to the cocoa, but according to my parents... this is the worst tiramisu they have ever tasted. That said, they’re not vegan, and are definitely not a fan of raw cakes. The carrot cake, on the other hand, tasted somewhat milder and more wholesome, and the not-too-heavy take on a typically dense dish was what redeemed it and made it addictive.
