Pretty Good

Had the quinoa & pinto bean burger with salad. It was pretty good. Several vegan options are clearly marked on the menu. Service was good with a nice atmosphere. I'll definitely eat there again.

Good, fresh, quality

I had the chips and salsa with guacamole and the tofu tacos. Good, fresh, good quality. Came out very fast even at 80% occupancy.

Pros: More than 1 vegan option, Good quality, Fast

Cons: Good have more flavor, Inconsistent doneness of the chips, Mediocre napkins

Great option

Cute atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Menu clearly calls out vegetarian and vegan options. I had their quinoa burger which was messy and very good. Would definitely order again.

Shares fryers and griddles with meat

I used to love coming here, but when I asked, I was told that all fried foods are fried along with fish. Even the fries, which are specifically marked vegan on the menu. This is true of all vegan foods that are fried or cooked on the griddle.

Cons: Foods marked vegan are not vegan

restaurants can only do so much. eating fried foods shared in a frier are still vegan. I understand you might be grossed out, but there were no animals harmed in them frying their fries in a shared frier

Incorrect. When you put dairy-free food in a shared fryer, and that same fryer is used to cook dairy products (e.g., cheese curds), what you pull out is NOT dairy free anymore because it has little bits of dairy all over it. Someone who has a dairy allergy would not eat it. The same thing applies to vegan food. Restaurants have a responsibility to get this right when labeling vegan menu items, or to include a disclaimer on the menu so people have an opportunity to decide whether or not to eat it.

Good vegan standards

The vegan items here are limited but solid. My boyfriend and I come here almost weekly for the fried tofu tacos. We LOVE them. Their fries are delicious too. They also have a fried tofu sandwich (good but messy),a vegan burger (house made, average) and Tofu skewers (yummy). Honestly, though, we are so hooked on the tacos we rarely get anything else. In addition there is a rotating salad every month that can usually be veganized and the staff understand what vegan means so they can answer any questions you have. Also well labeled gluten free options- but everything is made in the same kitchen with a shared fryer. Good bottled beer selection, small but solid tap selection and wine variety. I have never tried their brunch so I’m not sure if that is vegan friendly.

Pros: Fried tofu tacos, Understands what vegan is, Nice vibe

Pleasant option on Nicollet Ave, south of Lake Street

Nice enough atmosphere for a neighborhood low key eatery. Since it's near the Kingfield Sunday Farmers Market, it's packed for Sunday brunch. Expect a long wait. Had a housemade bean & quinoa burger and it was impressive and tasty. On previous visit, had a pesto melt on griddled bread, also very flavorful. I liked seating on the sidewalk, even though it's on busy Nicollet. At least the traffic keeps flowing, as there are no stoplights at this corner. Inside, it can get very loud and hard to have a conversation if very crowded. Decent tap beer selection too.

Pros: nice neighborhood eatery, Vegan options on menu, Decent tap beer selections

Cons: noisy, tables are close to each other
