Whoa! I ordered the house’s speciality, the Shouk burger, and oh my ! This burger/pitta is so full of different flavors and textures. It is so filling as well !

Was in town for a conference and blew off a dinner with a vendor because it was at a steakhouse (live in the now, vendor!). I was feeling a little sad and alone and not sure where I would eat and ended up here. What a delight! The menu is not extensive, but was just what I needed. I got the cauliflower bowl and was not sad. I look forward to popping in again next time I’m in town!

Got the mushroom shawarma. The oyster mushrooms mimic meat so that carnivores wouldn't know they were eating vegan. Service was great, and my name on the ticket was correctly spelled. Bills itself as modern Israeli street food.

First time trying Shouk. The restaurant has limited seating, but I got there early and was able to get a seat. The people there are very nice and quick to give suggestions. I ended up getting the mushroom shawarma bowl and I couldn’t have made a better selection. This was AMAZING. I was so sad when it was over. I will definitely come back.

All vegan and all delicious! There was a line out the door during a conference at the nearby convention center but the line moved quickly & food came out relatively quickly. Please note, you can order your food in advance through their app, and in the actual restaurant you can order on their computer touch screen (to the right when you come in the door) or wait in the line and order from a person. The app is very handy too for pick up.

I’m very picky about my falafel, having traveled to the Middle East a bunch. This was AMAZING - fresh ingredients, high quality pita, crispy falafel that wasn’t dry on the inside (hard to do), perfect portion size, and perfect falafel per square inch ratio 🤓 I was there for lunch rush hour and they were a well oiled machine

The mushroom shawarma pita is amazeballs — add harissa if you like spicy. Ooh and the cardamon chocolate chip cookies is also yum. It’s soft and just the right sized after meal snack so that you don’t feel guilty.

I've eaten from Shouk at least a dozen times. Israeli vegan fast casual delight. One of the best vegan spots in D.C. My favorite is the Shouk Burger. Highly recommend.

I had some of the best falafel that I've ever tasted here. My boyfriend and I both got falafel in a pita with hummus. I added cauliflower; he added mushroom shawarma. I'm not sure what the green sauce was called, but definitely try it. The harissa sauce was good, but we agreed that the falafel pita already had enough flavors going on and that the spiciness kind of masked the flavor. We shared polenta fries. Everything we got was outstanding. The portions are an excellent value for the price. Neither of us finished our pita in one sitting, and we came in ravenously hungry. You order by touchscreen which was user friendly and easy to navigate. That way, you don't have to deal with iffy service from a cashier, which I'm finding is more and more common. The ladies making the food were professional and efficient. There is lots of seating both inside and out. Overall, there's nothing negative I have to say. Perfect experience.
