Shift eatery - Edit
This place opened last week. This amazing place was really rocking, many diners has limited out side seating.
Read moreI had a berry nice smoothie had raspberries, strawberries, vanilla, almond milk and coyo. $10.
For eats had Big Bad Bowl w/ quinoa, roasted veggies, smoked beans, house made kale slaw, sauerkraut and hommos. $18.it was deeeelicious.
The eatery serves a variety of salads, toasted sandwiches with various fillings.
They make their own cheeses, vegan bacon and a first for me vegan EGG.
Serves coffees and teas.
Got the Happy Cow sticker. Vegans please try at least once you wont be disappointed.
Revisited today was knocked out by the service and food. Had a smoked tofu and miso salad came with greens, cabbage, kale, carrot, cherry tomatoe, cucumber, sprouts, sesame seeds topped with a miso and ginger dressing. Delicious $14. My berry nice smoothie had raspberries, strawberries, chia seeds, almond milk and coconut water. $10. Their raw cheese was to die for $9. Got a double Happy Cow sticker. Please vegans and ppl moving to a plant based diet try this once, twice or thrice.
Revisited with my partner. We had salad bowl with mixed lettuce, roasted chick peas with masala, pumpkin, rice/quinoa, cherry tomatoes, coriander and coconut yoghurt.
Gimme dat protein banana, peanut, cacao/ coconut milk. Hot cacao soy mylk. Fig, apple, and walnut tart. All was delicious, in my top 5 best vegan eatery. Bill $36.
Vegans and vegheads get here u must try once, twice.

This vegan icon hasn't dropped the tofu. Had a SuperFood Salad quinoa, kale, cashew cheese, mixed green salad, cherry tomatoes, sweet potatoes, walnuts sprinkled basalmic dressing. $15 was delicious. Finished with a Gimme Dat Proteon smoothie banana, peanut butter, cacao and coconut milk. $10 again delicious. Worthy of ten *****.

Revisted during CCP covid yep plenty of social distancing only allowed 9 inside and 6 outside.
we had mushroom sandwich and a Reubens both delicious followed with a mango lassie(bit disappointed it was frozen and not able to taste the various fruits and skinny plastic straw was hard to suck through) and hot choc and choc muffin.
Highly recommended for the Reubens.
Pros: 100% plant based vegan, Home made ingredients, Excellent and delicious food

Small cozy place serving brunch type food. Unfortunately I found the food to be so-so (I ate their Big Shifty) and the prices rather high. Staff are friendly. Also seems to sell t shirts!

Lovely spot for a range of delicious vegan treats - Edit
Good coffees and a range of sandwiches. My partner did not recommended his rueben however other sandwiches i’ve tried have been great! Bowls are also good size and well priced. I also recommended the muffin as it tastes very traditional cafe style which is hard to come by in a vegan form

Extensive Review: loved this place, vegan heaven, superior quality ingredients, and service - Edit
After reviewing the Shift Eatery website, my partner and I wanted to check out this venue. I liked their choice consideration menu options; for example: gluten-free bread available at no extra cost, nut free, onion & garlic free, soy free and C = chilli. Within menu planning this information is important. Their website mentions daily cakes and slices on the menu, without having set choices to pick from. This may be limiting for pick-up deliveries.
Read moreThe venue was easy to find due to good signage and close to Central station. The Café environment was small & cosy. It was easy to get a table. This place had a positive energy with a steady flow of customers. The chairs & tables were secure, comfortable, and nicely spaced out. Our waiter was friendly, pleasant, attentive, and knowledgeable. What I liked within the café was the rustic feel. I noticed there was a sandwich counter. I could watch how a sandwich or meal was made. The glass cake-stand had slices, and balls of goodness.
Our orders came out promptly. I ordered a small almond cappuccino. The coffee tasted nice. It had a soft-medium flavour at the right temperature, but not extraordinary.
Then I ordered the Buffalo Sub. While I do not like chilli, this baguette was amazing. The chilli did not overpower but enhanced the dish. The baguette was nicely baked and toasted. This gave the dish a nice crunch and texture. The other ingredients fused into an incredible balance of amazing flavours. I savoured herbal, sweet, chilli, savoury, creamy, & lemony flavours. It was a perfect combination and seasoned well. The generous baguette secured all the ingredients adequately. Not too much filling fell onto the plate. Nor was the baguette soggy. It was not sickly. The meal was refreshing and light.
My partner had the Smokey Baked Beans . I tasted the lovely sweet, tomato & smokey flavour & plain smash avocado. The substantial mixture was placed over the two toasts. We shared the lovely presented Chia Waffle which was tasty, light and generous.
We had the two tasty takeaway Join the Club sandwiches and apple & walnut cake slices. These slices had a lovely cinnamon, apple puree and walnut taste, moist and light consistency.
The total costs for two = $102.50.
This café had professional, attentive staff, prompt service, superior food quality & presentation, good sized meals & was relaxing. Prices were slightly high. For better value, add chips to meals. Yet, I will return.

Pros: Buffalo Sub - outstanding dish & food generally, Chia Waffle - generous & tasty, Great staff
Cons: Can be pricey, Chips added to sandwich/subs for better value, Side salad for subs to supplement price

They have a huge range on their menu which I really love! So whether I’m feeling like something more light/fresh or something more decadent/heart, their menu has me covered. Super friendly staff, great atmosphere and most of all incredible food. My favourite would have to be their salmon bagel! Highly recommend.

I ordered the Reuben (which I have been eyeing off for some time)- it was very tasty and exceeded my expectations! Vegan cheese and sauce combo was creamy, the vegan meat good and the pickles/sauerkraut added freshness. The choc chip cookie was also nice
