Best Sandwich in SYD - Edit
Amazing service from lovely staff, the best coconut flat white I’ve ever had and an incredible Reuben sandwich. Wish there was one in Brisbane.

Such a treat! - Edit
This is THE place for all your brunch favs, veganised. There is lots to choose from and lots of fun and creative ways of keeping plant based living current and appealing to everyone (i.e plant based bacon and egg rolls, Reuben sandwich and cheese toasties etc.). There insta feed is also a must to follow!

Lovely place with amazing food - Edit
I went to this place on my first day in Sydney. Ordered the Reuben’s sandwich and a cappuccino. Coffee was delicious and so was the sandwich, the portion was big so I took one half home. Definitely recommend and definitely coming back to try more food from the menu.

Their tofu miso salad is so light and refreshing. If you want to get your carb on their big bad bowl is something you cant miss. These two dishes alone make it worth coming here. Also love their mango lassi

Amazing lunch and breakfast options. The brekky bun in particular is enormously filling and contains an incredibly close ‘egg’ complete with runny centre. The cookies are also great. There is also a small-but-pricey vegan shop there for cooking at home.

Glutenfree waffle? I'm in - Edit
Went there for lunch and luckily got a seat as it was quite full (which is obviously a good thing :)) we got the the waffle and one of the sandwiches from the menu. First of all I was amazed by the texture of the glutenfree waffle...usually either too dense or not quite waffly enough...but they nailed it! Generous serving of ice cream too :) It could've done with a bit more fruit and less maple syrup but that is obiously just my taste so overall awesome lunch experience.

BEST CAFE IN SYDNEY - Edit
Hands down, Shift is my favourite cafe in all of Sydney. Everything on the menu is incredible — especially the toasted sandwiches (get the No Way Jose or the Reuben) — and the coffee is really, really good. The deli selection is also really great, especially if you're entertaining. We often pick up a couple of nice cheeses before friends come over. I seriously love this place, everyone who works there is super nice and the owner clearly cares deeply. Just go there :)

Beautiful vegan oasis - Edit
Just a minute walk from Rydges Central where I was staying. A great little place with fridge and freezer stocked with small goods and a delicious looking slice and cake cabinet. The menu is diverse, you can be healthy or cheesy or something in between. Nice vibe, good prices, friendly staff and good music. Fantastic!

Taste Sensation - Edit
The Mushroom toast was incredible - lots of large bits of mushroom, pesto i think, vegan cheese and tartare sauce. Yummy! The bread could be a bit nicer and there was slightly too much fat on the outside of it for my liking, but nothing that would prevent me from ordering it again as it was delicious! 😋 I also had the coconutty bliss ball and it was yummy but more of a fig/date taste rather than chocolate. Nice though, probably will try the donuts next time. I did find a short black hair in my mushroom sandwich but it was a busy time so I’ll let it pass this time... should be more careful though coz 🤢

Shift Eatery was a major surprise! We visited this sweet little cafe/grocer a few months ago and really enjoyed the delicious tasty vegan food and even returned to buy some groceries! We absolutely loved the overall modern style of the cafe & were surprised at how tasty the food was. I chose one of the toasters with melty vegan cheese while my husband chose the Big Bad Bowl. This place is insta worthy! We left feeling nourished and extremely satisfied.

Super delicious Vegan food - Edit
I've eaten inside and outside. Even though it's centrally located in busy Surrey Hills, it feels like a little oasis away from the crowd...although it has it's own crowd. A very popular cafe due to many amazing choices, all too good to pass up. Be prepared for several visits so you can try everything haha.

Absolutely delicious - Edit
I went to this place every week for two month after they opened: everything I tried was top notch deliciousness.
Read moreThe mushroom cheese toastie is my favorite (the kale pesto makes it so tasty), while my partner has a crush on Steve (Reuben's brother) which fills him up really well.
The brekky bun is great, and as big as a burger.
I also love their smoothies and their cakes (lemon tart is to die for) as well as the nuttie doughnuts.
Special mention for the dirty chai, with macadamia milk, the best I've ever had.
Service is very nice too, even when they're swamped with people (people line up at lunch time for a table).
Pros: Tasty menu and dishes originality, Very good coffee, dirty chai + has macadamia milk, Delicious sweet treats
Cons: Already too small to accommodate all clients, Nicer outside of lunch hours, quieter, The outdoor sitting area could use some shade
