This place has been around for years and i have eaten there each time in london. The vegan dishes are easily labeled and the garlic rice and paratha is superb.

Amazing value lunch menu in London at £7.20 with a huge dosa, rice, a couple curries, Chana masala, and a coconut mix and a little gingery dessert. It was yummy and interesting. Having said that my brother in law and I both got gastro enteritis the next day. Boo. My partner didn’t get it and he didn’t come with us here. We feel this is where we got it. Double boo. The server said this was vegan so we just had to trust him. I wish it was written somewhere so you could confirm all the different parts were vegan. It would also be nice to know what the lunch menu includes. My companion felt it wasn’t enough protein to keep him full. Visually it was stunning with lots of different flavors. I was interested to try other things here but now I won’t be going back. I was in a booth at the window and I could barely fit on the booth which wasn’t so comfortable.

Ate here last night and had some of the best south Indian food in a long time. Looks nothing special ftom outside, and fairly basic inside, but the food was great. Huge portion of delicious onion bhajis, easily enough for the 3 of us. Then shared a beautifully cooked dosa, a dahl and a veg korma ( one of our party doesn't do spicey heat), with boiled rice, a paratha and some chapattis. The breads were really good. We saw a puri at another table - puffed up almost to the size of a football! Not cheap, but not bad by London standards. Would definitely return. Only downside was occasional spell of cigarette smoke - not sure where that was coming from.

The food came quick which was great because we were going before a show. The food was good and there was a great selection of vegan options. The onion masala dosa was my favorite of the dishes we tried. We were lucky getting in without a booking but would recommend making one.

We had a vegan thali each. My other half liked (not loved) most of it, and I liked some of it and hated other bits, but I'm more fussy. The food came out quicker than a McDonald's order, so it's not cooked fresh in any way (I realise they can't cook curries completely from fresh but the food must be sitting in pots waiting). If I want a Thali in future, I'd rather find a Mowgli. I wish I'd tried the dosa instead!

Es gibt einige vegane Gerichte auf der Karte, die klar gekennzeichnet sind, da findet bestimmt jeder was. Das Essen ist lecker und das Personal zuvorkommend. Man muss jedoch mit dem Trinkgeld aufpassen, da automatisch eine Servicegebühr berechnet wird. Da das aber fast überall in London so ist, würde ich wieder hingehen.

I ordered the sagar special dosa after seeing the rave review on here. And it was great, but honestly nothing super special. Still delish though!
Read moreService wasn't that great, considering they charge a 12.5% fee, I was expecting exceptional service. You also have to pay for water and rice (not included with curry).
So overall, yum food but I wouldn't be in a rush to return here. And what appears to be affordable isn't so, due to the hidden extra costs.

I've been going to Sagar (multiple locations) for over ten years and it's always good. There are loads of vegan options. The last time I went I went with a group of meat eaters. We got loads of dishes to share and we were all very satisfied with the meal.

An extensive menu full of vegan options. A truly “plant-based” focused menu. We ate the Samosa Chaat, Vegetable Biriyani, Mix Uthappam (our first lentil pizza). All dishes were delicious.
