1.5hr wait for average meals

A four page vegan menu with plenty of variety, including traditional dishes. We waited 30mins to get a table then 1.5hrs until our food was served. The waiter was initially very rude, but became friendlier once we started speaking Italian instead of English. The lasagne and rice balls were good, the carbonara was average. We did not get dessert due to the long wait and the poor service.

Pros: Large vegan menu, Decently priced for the area, Speak English

Cons: Rude staff, Long waiting time, Small servings

Disappointing

Had to wait 1.5 hours to receive food, service was shocking, meal was good considering it’s one of the only places in Rome to have a well established vegan menu.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Was nice , Were apologetic for the wait

Cons: 1 and a half hour wait on food , Rude waiters , One. And. A. Half. Hour. Wait. On. Food.

Cibo spettacolare

Sono stata qui con una mia amica onnivora e abbiano entrambe mangiato vegan. La mia carbonara veg era buonissima e i dolci veramente di alto livello !

AMAZING

Several pages of vegan options - best meal we had in Rome. We had the gnocchi and the burger and it was amazing!! Friendly staff who were familiar with veganism (not the case throughout Rome).

Best vegan food!!!

There is a 4 pages menu of vegan options to choose from. We took the vegan carbonara & the vegan gnocchi 4 fromaggi, which were both amazing! The best was the dessert! We took fried pizza with vegan Nutella & it was the best vegan Nutella I ever had!! Really a must if you’re in Rome, do not miss!

Pros: Too many options, Amazing food, Cheap

Cons: Make a reservation or arrive early (7pm) or wait

Multiple vegan options

We had pasta and pizza. The pasta was excellent, the pizza was not as good but nice. It’s great to have a lot to choose from. Not that centrally located but worth the trip!

The best pizza

Half of the menu is vegan. Pizzas are delicious. The best I’ve ever eaten. The seitan escalopes with lemon sauce and gnocchi were not my sort of thing. The portion of the seitan and potato wedges dish was not so big. I’m not a fan of the tiramisu dessert, but the custard with caramel sauce and a vegan pie of the day with fruit were delicious.

Lots of vegan options, but not that tasty

This place is small, so if you’re a bigger company -make reservations! I visited this place due to the serveral pages of vegan choices it offered. I tried the pizza boscaiola and was really disappointed. The vegan sausage was just some small, brown bits that tasted and smelled really weird. Actually felt a little bit sick afterwards... But because my husband loved the non-vegan pizza and I figured the pasta possibly could be better, we decided to go back. The pasta carbonara was a little bit better, but honestly quite tasteless and once you’ve tried the carbonara at origano campo de fiori, Rifufio Romano is a let-down.

Pros: Good prices, Many vegan choices, Quite central

Cons: Tasteless, Disgusting vegan “sausage”, Better standard for meat-eaters

Massive menu of traditional dishes

Eating here allowed me to try some of the authentic dishes that my partner always raves about and I was not disappointed! He opted for the vegan tiramisu and commented that he wouldn’t have known if he hadn’t been told. Also, they are the only place we went to who had listed which of their wines were vegan in addition to the food!

Just great! Not overpriced!

We did the vegan food tour and stopped here during it. The food we had then was so-so, but good enough to stop by again since it was near our hotel.

We have been back every night.

Not every dish is “amazing” but none are bad, and while it’s listed as “vegan options” that doesn’t do it justice with basically a FULL vegan menu. Pizza, pastas, mock meat mains, starters and desserts. I’m on I but my wife of full vegan and was so happy to get tiramisu and Panna cotta after a long time without. The starters are great. Our son is more meat centric but has really enjoyed their non-vegan items as well.

I cannot recommend this place enough, it’s fantastic.

Pros: SOOOO many options , Desserts!, Not overpriced, other Rome vegan places r $$$$

Cons: Pizza is a little lackluster

Amazing vegan options!!

My experience at this restaurant was amazing, the menu is all one but has a very clear few pages full of insane traditional Italian dishes that have been made vegan!! I had deep fried rice balls with tomato and vegan cheese, then for my main I had scaloppine di seitan al funghi con patate which was vegan escalopes, I also then had a vegan cake which was amazing!! ❤️ overall an amazing choice for vegans trying to find some good Italian food whilst in Rome!!

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Amazing food , Traditional Italian dishes

Cons: A little slow service , Queue for tables as can be very busy

Great Affordable Spot

Very near the central train station. I went twice. So many vegan options! I loved the dish that I ordered the first time, which was a seitan pasta carbanara. I would not order the pizza - did not have much flavor! In my opinion this place is a vegan must if you're visiting Rome!

Pros: Many vegan options, fresh food

Cons: Service can be hit or miss

Well worth it

This little place happened to be right near our hotel, and offered traditional, vegan, and gluten free options. Their menu is extensive and has fully vegan sections for antipasti, first and second courses, as well as many vegan desserts (including gelato and tiramisu). The space itself is quite small so if you have a large party (or really more than 2), you might consider making a reservation or being prepared to wait. It is a little pricier than an every day place, but overall very reasonable and the amount of variety definitely would make it a place to return.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Gluten-free options

Cons: Small space, maybe some wait time

Popular place with yummy pizza

Despite having to wait about 30 minutes to be seated our meal was lovely. I had a pizza with vegan cheese, mushroom, vegan sausage and it was delicious. The place is clearly very popular with both vegans and non-vegans but I’m not surprised! The vegan section of the menu was huge and everything sounded gorgeous, the prices weren’t bad either. It was super busy but the staff made a huge effort literally running around to make sure everyone was being seen to. Outdoor seating was fab!

Pros: Loads of vegan options!!, Vegan tiramisu was unreal! Recommend , Big portions and not too expensive

Cons: Very busy- book ahead or wait in a long queue!

Lots of vegan options

This place was so good we went back the next day! So many options for vegans with an entire section labeled vegan options with most dishes from the regular menu veganized. The first night we went for dinner it was packed which is always a good sign. We had the bruschetta and vegan rice ball with vegan cheese and some sort of marinara sauce (pretty much like an arancini ball), as entrees which were really nice. I had the vegan carbonara which was quite impressive and I loved the bits of smoked seitan. Only complaint would be that my meal came out 5 mins after my husbands and he was halfway through his before I got mine. Maybe just a miscommunication with the server and the kitchen staff. The second night I had the fettuccini ragu which was like a vegan bolognese sauce. No pasta was left on my plate! The service was quick and very friendly. We met a woman having lunch at the restaurant and we definitely over stayed our welcome chatting with her but the staff never came up to us to ask us to leave. They will give you a complimentary shot of limoncello at the end of your meal so if you are not fond of this, let them know so it doesn’t go to waste. The food was good but not excellent and that’s the only reason for not giving 5 stars. Everything else was amazing.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Friendly staff , Quick service

Cons: Small space

Omg the lasagne and desserts!!

Had the lasagne, carbonara, avocado salad, tirimasu, custard & cake of the day... lasagne was the best vegan one I’ve ever had... salad was great (couldn’t really go wrong), and the carbonara had more curry vibes than creamy... could have passed on it. All the desserts were AMAZING. highly recommend & lovely staff 🤗

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Clearly labelled vegan , Huge range

Cons: Small portion of lasagne

Good but not great

The vegan pizzas we had were good, but not the best we had. The place was very crowded which made it a bit uncomfortable, the service was still very friendly and prices reasonable.

Pros: Service, Reasonable prices, Location

Cons: Very crowded

Lots of vegan options, taste is below average

This restaurant is VERY central in Rome. Their menucard has about 3 pages full of vegan options. The food looks alright, but I found it lacking in taste, especially for a mediterranian country.
