Labeled Vegan Options - Edit
Unfortunately, in U.S. airports, vegan food is often unlabeled, making it more difficult to find options. As a result, these options are usually either boring or very unhealthy. Peoples Organic offers a variety of labeled vegan options, which instantly gave them bonus points.
Read moreHowever, what I had was mediocre, even for an airport. The avocado toast was fine, but it was essentially just bread straight from the bag with avocado. Of course, this tasted fine and was a relatively decent meal, but it was way overpriced. The french fries were severely undercooked, and I think the sauce that came with them was not vegan (my boyfriend happily took it), but definitely ask.
The person working was friendly, and the food came out about as fast as you would expect since they made it fresh, so that is a plus to me. If I was at the airport I would probably eat here again but it was not anything great.

VEGAN BLACK BEAN SOUP - Edit
I loved the fact that they had vegan options available at reasonable prices inside the airport. The vegan black bean soup that comes with a slice of bread was great.

Cafe and restaurant area - Edit
Walked into the cafe area, where there are a few items to "grab and go" like wraps and salad bowls. The lady working there was very nice, and gave us good advice on which dessert to get (vegan brownie was tasty, and much better than the vegan krispy treat).
Read moreWe got the macro bowl to share, probably not enough for 2 people if they are hungry. Flavor was good and nice variety on ingredients but was missing...something, flavor-wise.
There's a larger restaurant area attached with the bigger menu and hot food. A digital screen outside cycles through the full menu with prices and vegan/gf items indicated. Breakfast items (like tofu scramble) only served until 10:30.
Pros: Friendly staff, Several vegam options

Missing items/ingredients frequently - Edit
They seem perpetually out of the Daiya cheese, so ask or don't bother with the grilled cheese. I had the burger with fries and a brownie, which were all decent for a day if traveling. High prices though and slow service on the restaurant side. The to-go side was out of the vegan salads and wraps.

Ask if they have ingredients - Edit
I’m annoyed that I order the Chelsea (vegan grilled cheese with kraut and beets and vegan sauce) and the kitchen made the sandwich with no cheese or sauce because they were out. So instead of telling me, they sent it out without all the ingredients. When I flagged the waiter down they realized they couldn’t offer a substitution that was vegan. So I ended up with a meal of lettuce and fries.
Read moreBeware the vegan options are only at the sit down portion of the restaurant, not the order counter if you are short on time.
Pros: Only place in airport with vegan options
Cons: Must inquire if they have vegan ingredients, Did not communicate when out of vegan items, Can’t order vegan at the counter

Few options - Edit
It would be nice if they had a vegan sandwich or burger. The larger location at the end of the terminal (across from iStore) had a vegan salad, but the dressing was extremely spicy which made it unpleasant to eat - they said that's just how the toasted sesame vinaigrette is. Even though it's made with organic greens, the dressing had all kinds of weird preservatives in the ingredients (I couldn't find what made it so spicy). They do have organic coffee at the larger location.

Good for Airport Food - Edit
$16 and surcharge and tip is a lot for some avocado toast with sunflower seeds, but Peoples Organic has some of the best options I’ve seen at airports in the US. Plenty for vegans/vegetarians. If I couldn’t expense this for work travel I would pass, but it’s better food than most of the airport at least.

Great Salad - Edit
If you are stuck getting a meal at the airport, you could do far worse than Peoples Organic. Vegan menu items are available in every category (apps, breakfast, burgers, etc) and clearly labeled. I got the “spa salad” on this visit and it was delicious, large, and filling. (Although the $6 up charge for “grilled tofu” being added to it was a bit outrageous.) There is a vegan as-is cheese burger that sounded tasty. I love that a side salad is the default for the burgers, with fries being an up charge.

Unsure about ingredients - Edit
While they do label things as vegan, the avocado toast was labeled as vegetarian. I asked why it wasn’t vegan and they didn’t know. “I don’t think avocado has dairy in it” 😅

Good choice for breakfast - Edit
People's Organic offers organic airport food with friendly staff, but falls short on taste and portion size. Service is not quick, making it less suitable for those in a hurry. It's an average choice for a light, organic meal while waiting for a flight.

Impressed with vegan options - Edit
Really impressed with the vegan options at the airport. Had the tofu scramble with. Egan cheese and vegan sausage. Pretty steep upcharge for a single slice of cheese and beyond sausage, but really added to the dish. Good oat milk vanilla latte too.

Okay - Edit
The Buddha to-go salad was good, nothing spectacular. The vegan chocolate donut satisfied my sweet tooth, but tasted a bit old and dry. I’m really happy to see vegan options in the airport! I didn’t have time to order anything hot, but the menu seemed to have a good amount of clearly labeled vegan options.

I had the "Earth Wings" cauliflower wings that were pretty tasty and came with more than enough celery which I was also happy to eat. Plenty of sit-down seating with outlets so you can charge your devices.

Don’t trust this place - Edit
The server was friendly enough, but I watched him add almond milk and a splash of dairy milk to my coffee when I requested non dairy. After that and reading the other reviews of people that were served meat, I’m not comfortable ordering here. They don’t seem to understand or take dietary restrictions seriously.

I was given a beef Hamburger with cheese and mayo when I ordered a vegan burger. The cashier rang up my vegan burger correctly and there were no other orders at the time. Not my first time to this location and the food/service has always been marginal. There are limited VEGAN options at MSP. Take this one off the list.

Got the avocado toast and potatoes they said it will be should 10 mins I got it in 3 mins. 3 out of 4 slices of bread wasn’t toasted and the potatoes were cold. Thought they will make things fresh since I’m buying food around 630 am.

Wonderful Organic Vegan Items - Edit
This was delightful to find after 27 hours of travel! We had to wait longer than usual because there was only one employee working when it first opened, but it was worth the wait. We had the tofu breakfast scramble with vegan sausage and toast and potatoes for $11.50. Not a bad price by airport standards. There are many other vegan options throughout the day. The customer service was not bad, so hopefully whatever problems others have had with service have been resolved. I’ll look forward to my next connection through this airport and stopping here for a meal!

Incredibly rude staff - Edit
The food was decent, but the atrocious customer service was impossible to dismiss. The staff at the register glared at me several times, aggressively shouted at me to stand at the other side of the line and wait, despite being the only customer there at the time. She barely had the patience to take my order without looking and sounding incredibly inconvenienced. I know this is airport food and the expectations are low, but yikes People’s Organic, have some basic customer service standards. Your food is not close to good enough for this kind of attitude from staff and animosity toward your paying customers.
