Organic Excellence…! - Edit
When we were in Lisbon, we couldn’t resist checking out the vegan spots on Happy Cow. One of the top-rated restaurants we found was Organi Chiado, which is just a short walk from our place in the Bairro-Alto. So, we decided to go for lunch and see what all the fuss was about!
Read moreThe place was already packed when we got there, but the inside had a cool, sophisticated vibe. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Of course, all that sightseeing had made us thirsty, so we started with a couple of super cold Super Bocks.
For our main course, we shared an appetizer of bread and pâtés. Oh my gosh, the spreads were amazing! There were three different ones: Basil Tofu, Olives-Walnut, and Peanut Butter-Apple. All of them were delicious, but the Basil Tofu was my favorite. It was so refreshing and smooth, and it was unlike anything I’d ever tasted before — not made out of tofu, anyway.
Organi Chiado has two different specials that change (I believe) every day, and on our first visit, we both couldn’t resist the Braised Tofu (served with lime rice, a side salad, and tempura veggie crisp). It was incredible! Hands down, the best food we’d had up to that point. And the prices were surprisingly reasonable, considering how fancy the place was.
We left feeling totally satisfied and made a mental note to come back to Chiado Organi soon. But guess what? The very next day, we went to another vegan restaurant that was a total disaster. We were so hungry and disappointed that we ran straight back to Organi to save the day! (This time around, again, we shared a larger order of the bread and pâtés; I did cheesy penne pasta; Jay the lasagna. And, too, we shared a pecan pie with house-made ice cream. O.M.G…!!!) And not only did it save us, but we also got to catch up with our friend from the day before, which was really nice.
Simply awesome!!!
Pros: Food!!!, Service!!!, Anbiance!!!
Cons: Loved it ALL…!!!

Healthy organic food that tastes bomb! - Edit
Went there two times while staying in Lisbon! The ricebread and dip starters are great but nothing compares to the homemade cashew cheese! ❤️ As the main course I can recommend the pasta with cashew and tomato sauce/pesto 🤤 the berry cheesecake as a dessert and you are good to roll your way home 🙈 but happy and satisfied ☺️

Cons: More expensive than some other vegan restaurants

Went here for lunch and stayed outside. I order the soup of the day which was beetroot soup and the seitan wrap. Both were really good, full of taste.

Food was fantastic, service was hit and miss - Edit
We came for the lunch time menu which was customisable in terms of the grain you choose. There was lots of interesting and fresh salad and veggies, and the protein was different and delicious. The wine and beer were very good too. Not overwhelmed by the cashew cheese starter and bread though. Nice dessert options though we didn’t take one.

Cashew lovers dream - Edit
The food was delicious. The cashew cheese and assortment of pates for starters was my personal highlight. I ran out of bread so I packed up the cheese for home and had it on toast the next morning for breakfast 😋
Read moreThe mains change daily. I had the caeser salad which was spot on, it tasted like the real deal! The Tofu 'chicken' was perfectly seasoned. My partner had the cashew cream penne with sundried tomatoes which went down very well too, so cheesy!!!
The pecan pie, which I was definitely too full for but order anyway was worth it.
All the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great too. We couldn't have asked for better 😁
Pros: Cashew cheese, Location , Lovely staff

It started off a little awkward as my husband walked into the restaurant first. An employee stopped him at the door informing him that this was a Vegan restaurant. I heard her and said" good thing as I am Vegan"! I ordered the bean dish which included Portuguese style beans, salad, sweet potato, pears, caramelized onions and garlic andI had brown rice. It did not seem greasy but the beans were a little too salty for my taste. I am going back tomorrow for dinner!

Amazing service, amazing food and cosy place to sit outside. I had the spiritual tofu and my mom the Caesar salade, both were extraordinary! The tofu was unbelievable! Highly recommend this place!

Good food and friendly service - Edit
We had a pleasant three course dinner at Organi Chiado. Service was friendly and efficient, the ambience was nice and the food was good. We had cheese and olives to start, seitan slices for mains and for dessert pecan pie and chocolate mousse cake (which was very good). Organi Chiado is a good solid choice if looking for a good vegan meal in Lisbon.

We ate here twice in as many days, and it was absolutely wonderful both times. The food is gorgeous, delicious, and so filling. The desserts are amazing. The server we had our first time was lovely and kind. We closed our eyes when the bill came. This is totally the place to go in Lisbon.

A wonderful restaurant - Edit
We were on vacation in Lisbon, and found the usual limited choices of pasta, eggs, or salad. Then, we looked in Happy Cow and Organi Chiado showed up. This restaurant serves very tasty, fresh, balanced meals, and changes the main courses daily. We ate there three times, before leaving Lisbon, and each meal was very enjoyable. The staff and owners (we met one of the two founders) also believe in their mission, and it creates a welcoming environment.
