Organic Excellence…! - Edit
When we were in Lisbon, we couldn’t resist checking out the vegan spots on Happy Cow. One of the top-rated restaurants we found was Organi Chiado, which is just a short walk from our place in the Bairro-Alto. So, we decided to go for lunch and see what all the fuss was about!
Read moreThe place was already packed when we got there, but the inside had a cool, sophisticated vibe. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Of course, all that sightseeing had made us thirsty, so we started with a couple of super cold Super Bocks.
For our main course, we shared an appetizer of bread and pâtés. Oh my gosh, the spreads were amazing! There were three different ones: Basil Tofu, Olives-Walnut, and Peanut Butter-Apple. All of them were delicious, but the Basil Tofu was my favorite. It was so refreshing and smooth, and it was unlike anything I’d ever tasted before — not made out of tofu, anyway.
Organi Chiado has two different specials that change (I believe) every day, and on our first visit, we both couldn’t resist the Braised Tofu (served with lime rice, a side salad, and tempura veggie crisp). It was incredible! Hands down, the best food we’d had up to that point. And the prices were surprisingly reasonable, considering how fancy the place was.
We left feeling totally satisfied and made a mental note to come back to Chiado Organi soon. But guess what? The very next day, we went to another vegan restaurant that was a total disaster. We were so hungry and disappointed that we ran straight back to Organi to save the day! (This time around, again, we shared a larger order of the bread and pâtés; I did cheesy penne pasta; Jay the lasagna. And, too, we shared a pecan pie with house-made ice cream. O.M.G…!!!) And not only did it save us, but we also got to catch up with our friend from the day before, which was really nice.
Simply awesome!!!
Pros: Food!!!, Service!!!, Anbiance!!!
Cons: Loved it ALL…!!!

The food was fantastic. Best vegan lasagne I've ever had! The staff were friendly and made slight adaptions in portioning up food for our children.

Fresh, homemade and healthy vegan food. - Edit
We got the Caesar salad and the burger for main course. Both were very good with a lot of attention to details. The burger was very yummy and the presentation was very nice with delicious homemade chips. We also had the pâté and their homemade bread. I really loved the olive pate and the tofu and basil pate. We plan on dining here again while we are in Lisbon.

Had the lentil curry and the penne, and it was really well seasoned as well as being in a great location! Good service, and the food looks and tastes great as well as being reasonably priced! The mozzarella style cheese in the caprese salad is the best vegan cheese I have ever tasted

Excellent food. Menu changes rapidly. We had the Spirit Tofu, a vegan version of a traditional Portuguese dish, and a chickpea curry. They also had a burger, soup of the day, vegan Caesar salad, some pasta and a lot of starter options.

Vegan deliciousness! - Edit
Organi Chiado stands out with its plant based take on traditional Portuguese cuisine. The taste and quality of the food is just great! I felt really happy with my dish and its flavors (Almôndegas Veggie). The menu has a lot of variety and keeps it simultaneously very simple, which is something I appreciate. The staff is friendly and the place is also lovely. We sat outside on a warm September night while enjoying dinner and life all together.

The food was okay. But I wasn’t blown away. Would go again. It felt a little bit pretentious. And the staff was really really nice, so nice it felt a little bit staged. The location was great.

Emma looked after us and she was excellent. Only new to hospitality she is a natural. We started with the pâté selection & bread. We had bean stew & 3-mushroom risotto for mains. “No cheesecake” & pecan pie for desert.

Tasty food, nice service - Edit
Tasty soup and good house-made guacamole with corn chips as starters. The gluten-free pasta was delicious (and enough to take home half of it! Be conscious of the big portion sizes if you don’t have a place to keep leftovers). Also had a very nice organic, red dry wine. The servers were very attentive and helpful. The outdoor patio ambience was pleasant. Centrally located.

I got so lucky that kings was busy tonight.
Read moreHonestly I went expecting a 1970s whole-food cafe but I was so wrong. The lasagne was as good as I have ever had and no picture can show that. I have so many other options to visit in Lisbon but it’s really tempting to come back.

A bit overrated - Edit
Reading the menu i was very underwhelmed by the choices (curry and pasta are nothing special in my opinion) but the food tasted excellent in the end. Nevertheless not that exciting, wouldn't necessarily go again

Whole foods paradise - Edit
I loved my meal and the whole dining experience. The staff is very friendly and quick and the seating on the stairs outside is really nice. The menu isn't extensive, but all the dishes looked amazing. I loved the pumpkin and the creative combination. It is a generous and filling portion, but one feels good after it, because it is also really nourishing. And leaves just enough room for one of the delicious desserts. 100% recommended!

I got the juice of the day and the burger. It was AMAZING! The juice of the day was a blackberry juice and it was bomb. The burger dish comes with rice, chips, small salad, and a beet and orange slice. It was a lot of food and it was so freakin delicious. The restaurant is all vegan and gluten free so you can’t go wrong!
