Organic Excellence…! - Edit
When we were in Lisbon, we couldn’t resist checking out the vegan spots on Happy Cow. One of the top-rated restaurants we found was Organi Chiado, which is just a short walk from our place in the Bairro-Alto. So, we decided to go for lunch and see what all the fuss was about!
Read moreThe place was already packed when we got there, but the inside had a cool, sophisticated vibe. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Of course, all that sightseeing had made us thirsty, so we started with a couple of super cold Super Bocks.
For our main course, we shared an appetizer of bread and pâtés. Oh my gosh, the spreads were amazing! There were three different ones: Basil Tofu, Olives-Walnut, and Peanut Butter-Apple. All of them were delicious, but the Basil Tofu was my favorite. It was so refreshing and smooth, and it was unlike anything I’d ever tasted before — not made out of tofu, anyway.
Organi Chiado has two different specials that change (I believe) every day, and on our first visit, we both couldn’t resist the Braised Tofu (served with lime rice, a side salad, and tempura veggie crisp). It was incredible! Hands down, the best food we’d had up to that point. And the prices were surprisingly reasonable, considering how fancy the place was.
We left feeling totally satisfied and made a mental note to come back to Chiado Organi soon. But guess what? The very next day, we went to another vegan restaurant that was a total disaster. We were so hungry and disappointed that we ran straight back to Organi to save the day! (This time around, again, we shared a larger order of the bread and pâtés; I did cheesy penne pasta; Jay the lasagna. And, too, we shared a pecan pie with house-made ice cream. O.M.G…!!!) And not only did it save us, but we also got to catch up with our friend from the day before, which was really nice.
Simply awesome!!!
Pros: Food!!!, Service!!!, Anbiance!!!
Cons: Loved it ALL…!!!

Beautiful and tasty! - Edit
The dinner in Organi Chiado was pure vegan heaven. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. Very nice decoration and lovely small seasonally changing menu. There were not too many different options on the menu but as every single one sounded great it was honestly difficult to decide. Every choice was great (went for broccoli soup, creamy cashew-tomato pasta with homemade pesto and apple crumble with icecream) and the wine was also delicious! Would give more stars if I could, was an overall amazing experience.

We had meatballs and chickpea burger. My burger was excellent as well as meatballs. Along with it you get daily side dishes. Portions are quite big. The service was fast even though it was crowded. Consider booking in advance or come in early.

Delicious vegan food - Edit
I've been there today for lunch with a (non-vegan) friend. We were able to sit outside on the small terrace on the stairs. We ordered the Penne (my friend) and the Burger (myself). Both was DELICIOUS!!! Even my friend loved the penne 😄 I would definitely recommend this place. Also many thanks to the staff which did a great job. Thank you!

Nice dining experience - Edit
We sat on the patio. So so for environment but very nice food selections. Only four main choices but all looked good. I understand the menu changes all the time but we started with olives and cheese (cashew-based) which was very good. I had veggie burger with rice and no bun also good. My wife had the chick pea curry on rice she enjoyed. Nice portion sizes we didn’t finish. 2 applies 2 mains, shared dessert and sparking water €37. Save room for dessert!
