Organic Excellence…!

When we were in Lisbon, we couldn’t resist checking out the vegan spots on Happy Cow. One of the top-rated restaurants we found was Organi Chiado, which is just a short walk from our place in the Bairro-Alto. So, we decided to go for lunch and see what all the fuss was about!

The place was already packed when we got there, but the inside had a cool, sophisticated vibe. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Of course, all that sightseeing had made us thirsty, so we started with a couple of super cold Super Bocks.

For our main course, we shared an appetizer of bread and pâtés. Oh my gosh, the spreads were amazing! There were three different ones: Basil Tofu, Olives-Walnut, and Peanut Butter-Apple. All of them were delicious, but the Basil Tofu was my favorite. It was so refreshing and smooth, and it was unlike anything I’d ever tasted before — not made out of tofu, anyway.

Organi Chiado has two different specials that change (I believe) every day, and on our first visit, we both couldn’t resist the Braised Tofu (served with lime rice, a side salad, and tempura veggie crisp). It was incredible! Hands down, the best food we’d had up to that point. And the prices were surprisingly reasonable, considering how fancy the place was.

We left feeling totally satisfied and made a mental note to come back to Chiado Organi soon. But guess what? The very next day, we went to another vegan restaurant that was a total disaster. We were so hungry and disappointed that we ran straight back to Organi to save the day! (This time around, again, we shared a larger order of the bread and pâtés; I did cheesy penne pasta; Jay the lasagna. And, too, we shared a pecan pie with house-made ice cream. O.M.G…!!!) And not only did it save us, but we also got to catch up with our friend from the day before, which was really nice.

Simply awesome!!!

Pros: Food!!!, Service!!!, Anbiance!!!

Cons: Loved it ALL…!!!

Beautiful food

It's a small restaurant with a small, simple menu but by joe, it's amazing!

Full of flavour, good portions and nice staff.

Their menu changes day to day, as well as a daily special. They have their own versions of traditional Portuguese dishes, too.

If you are in Lisbon, YOU MUST GO!!!

Pros: Lots of flavour, Lovely restaurant, Fresh food!

Cons: Not a huge menu (if fussy), Not wheelchair accessible, Not the cheapest place

Beautiful and tasty!

The dinner in Organi Chiado was pure vegan heaven. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. Very nice decoration and lovely small seasonally changing menu. There were not too many different options on the menu but as every single one sounded great it was honestly difficult to decide. Every choice was great (went for broccoli soup, creamy cashew-tomato pasta with homemade pesto and apple crumble with icecream) and the wine was also delicious! Would give more stars if I could, was an overall amazing experience.

Exquisito desde las entradas a los postres! prueben el tofu y el queso vegano!

El tofu revuelto con queso vegano que estaba delicioso. Nunca lo habíamos comido así. Muy buena mezcla de sabores, platos grandes a buen precio.

The scrambled tofu with vegan cheese was delicious. We had never eaten it like this. Very good mix of flavors, large dishes at a good price.

Amazing food

We had meatballs and chickpea burger. My burger was excellent as well as meatballs. Along with it you get daily side dishes. Portions are quite big. The service was fast even though it was crowded. Consider booking in advance or come in early.

Pros: Big portions, Very tasty, A lot of side dishes

Cons: Staff seemed stressed and in a rush

Very lovely restaurant with wonderful food and service

We tried the pâté app, cauliflower soup, lentil burger and dessert espresso finish. The server suggested a delicious wine and there was not anything to dislike. We enjoyed the dining experience and left very full.

Pros: 100% vegan, Uses fresh, local ingredients , Does not use overly processed ingredients

Perfect experience

The food was to die for! Even my omnivorous boyfriend admitted that it was the best meal we had in Portugal.
They change their menu daily which is why it's really worth it to come there more than once😉
We had the vegan homemade cheese (cashew-based) which was just fingerlicking- delicious. The mains we had were also perfect (risotto and burger) - we would always love to come back.

Pros: Menu changes daily, Fresh, seasonal and delicious food, Fairly priced

Cons: The restaurant is not located in my hometown...

We stayed 3 nights in Lisbon and visited this vegan place for dinner twice. Amazing food, 100% organic and non-processed menu that changes daily depending on seasonality!

Everything we tried was an absolute masterclass. A must!

Pros: Restaurante bien situado, Con terraza, Atención perfecta

Cons: Cambio de carta cada día, Precio un poco elevado

Delicious vegan food

I've been there today for lunch with a (non-vegan) friend. We were able to sit outside on the small terrace on the stairs. We ordered the Penne (my friend) and the Burger (myself). Both was DELICIOUS!!! Even my friend loved the penne 😄 I would definitely recommend this place. Also many thanks to the staff which did a great job. Thank you!

Pros: Vegan, Terrace, Friendly staff

Solid kitchen

We had Pasta, a Caesar Salad and the Pecan Pie. Everything was solid and tasty, but not over the top good. Menue has a few, but not too many options. A Highlight was the Ginger Ale.

Pros: English speaking, friendly staff, Nice atmosphere, Solid meals

Cons: A bit too spicy

Nice dining experience

We sat on the patio. So so for environment but very nice food selections. Only four main choices but all looked good. I understand the menu changes all the time but we started with olives and cheese (cashew-based) which was very good. I had veggie burger with rice and no bun also good. My wife had the chick pea curry on rice she enjoyed. Nice portion sizes we didn’t finish. 2 applies 2 mains, shared dessert and sparking water €37. Save room for dessert!

Pros: Food is excellent, Only four choices for mains but looked delicious , Service was pleasant and friendly.

Cons: Atmosphere only so-so
