Hit or miss - Edit
I’ve had amazing food at Mirisata. Especially the deviled “pork”. The past two times I ordered it through DoorDash, it was extremely salty. I couldn’t eat it.

Excellent! Ordered "Family Style Curry for 2-3 People". Changes seasonally, today it was yellow rice, dal, pineapple curry, deviled potatoes, pickled eggplant curry, wilted kale, poppadams, coconut sambal, chutney, onion relish, pickled veg.

How have I not reviewed Mirisata? - Edit
A banger, 10/10, must visit at least once per trip to Portland. Beautiful outdoor seating, fun ever evolving menu, kind staff, worker owned, still masking. Nothing not to like here. #Veganuary

Out of this world! - Edit
You have to go here! The flavors are out of this world. Every single thing we had was delicious. The vegetable stuffed roti and the chicken and cheese stuffed roti are incredible. Flaky, crispy, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is cute there is a small interior space and a large outdoor seating area. The staff are friendly, and the food is some of the best I've ever had. #Veganuary

Go here! - Edit
I’ve only ever been for brunch but we return pretty regularly. This is a counter order type of place with a lot of covered outdoor seating and a bit of indoor, so bring a coat if it’s winter. The food here is amazing. I get the just egg stuffed roti again and again. They also have kind of a Sri Lankan beignet that comes with chocolate dipping sauce that is amazing #Veganuary

One of the best vegan places in Portland - Edit
Consistently Rich, flavorful food with a good amount of spice. I also like that they are a worker-owned co-op and don't take tips.

No wonder it’s a top rated restaurant - Edit
My partner and I had been wanting to try this place after seeing all the incredible reviews and we were not disappointed. We had a large shared plate for 2 and it was a lot of food. I loved that we were able to try so many things- it was our first time having Sri Lankan food! We will absolutely be back next time we’re in Portland.

Can’t believe it took me so long to eat here - Edit
I’ve lived in Portland for three years and can’t believe I’ve never eaten here. We got todays plate and the roti it was amazing. It tasted like the most delicious home cooked meal. The man who helped us was super helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and gave great suggestions. Super pleased with the quality of food, swiftness of service and kind employees. It makes all the difference when you come to a place and they are genuinely helpful. Will definitely be back for more!

I had the pleasure of dining at this highly-rated vegan Sri Lankan restaurant that has been making waves online. This walk-up, counter-service gem stood out for its wide variety of vegan Sri Lankan food, knowledgeable servers, and clearly marked gluten-free items, making it a haven for any adventurous eater with dietary restrictions.
Read moreMy friend and I decided to share "Today's Plate" and each ordered our own roti – I opted for the gluten-free Kurokan Roti, while my friend chose the Pol Roti. Both rotis, delightfully coconutty and served perfectly warm, were the platform for a memorable meal.
Today's Plate, a staple offering, came with a crisp pampadam, daal, yellow rice, and four rotating sides. That day, we were treated to spicy green beans, deviled potatoes, scallion dynamite, and braised curry garlic, complemented by our choice of coconut sambal.
Every bite transported me back to my time in Sri Lanka, I was especially grateful for the gluten-free roti that I had missed out on during my travels. My dining companion couldn't stop raving about the spicy green beans and kept praising my choice of restaurant. I humbly reminded him that the high recommendations on Happy Cow made it an easy decision.
The highlight of my meal was mixing the scallion dynamite, coconut sambal, and daal, then scooping it up with my roti. It was pure bliss – just the right amount of spice, though you can certainly amp it up if you're dining with spice-loving friends or going solo.
This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in Portland looking to experience the vibrant flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine in a vegan, gluten-free-friendly environment.
Pros: Clearly marked Gluten-free items, Good value - Tip is included in the price, Authentic Sri Lankan Food

Great for a group of friends or family ! - Edit
Worker owned restaurant offering family style and non family style. We went family style with the eggplant for 2-3 with three of us and had plenty of leftovers. Very reasonably priced. We also got the fish cakes (YUM!) and a the passion fruit soda which was not very sweet at all and very pleasant. Eggplant was the rockstar of the night however. Also, nice outdoor seating area for summer.

Unique, flavorful, and great value - Edit
One of the best restaurants there is. I like eating out when it tastes like something I couldn’t make at home - This place nails that. Some of the most flavorful food I’ve been blessed to taste, and items labeled “spicy” actually have a kick to them.

Amazing dinner - Edit
The food here was amazing. Such unique flavors. We shared the family style dinner for 2-3 people and it definitely would have served 3. We took home leftovers. When we didn’t know what one of the dishes was, the man at the counter gave us a sample to try. Absolutely will go back the next time I am in town.

First time eating Shri Lankan food! Did not disappoint - Edit
Was feeling adventurous and not wanting a lot of processed foods. Thought we'd give Mirisata a try. The menu is extensive and can be a little intimidating if you haven't been before. However the combo plates helped give a lot of variety to the different types of foods available. Very happy we chose to give it a try.
