A worthy splurge - Edit
With a long connection at Heathrow, I took the train into Soho to visit this vegan institution. I ordered the fixed-price lunch. (The menu said, “for 2 people minimum,” but the server offered to prepare it for just me.) Every bite and dollop was a revelation. The starters consisted of a rainbow of small plates—for example, a turmeric carrot hummus with pomegranate and za’atar oil—served with warm bread. The padrones with smoked salt were perfectly roasted. A tiny risotto fritter added a nice crunch. Then came the main course: a Sri Lankan curry served with a cashew-sweet potato rice pilau, with colorful accompaniments including a creamy (yes, vegan) beetroot raita. The main course came with my favorite small dish: “coconut corn ribs,” served on a bed of deliciousness that include a lime-leaf dressing. It was all more than one person could eat, and my sole regret was that I had no room for dessert. A splurge at 26 pounds, and worth it. Service was gracious and efficient.

Great choice as always - Edit
Came here for dinner with family. Staff were really friendly and attentive. I had the laksa which was delicious. My family had one of the burgers, some patatas bravas and the Sri Lankan curry - all of which were great! The sticky toffee pudding is also a must try!

Yummy lunch here. The full English was great but it was supposed to come with spinach which was nowhere to be seen. I forgot to ask about it as I was so absorbed eating everything else. The Korean burger was great although not as amazing as previously. There isn’t any real kimchi on it and the patty is different and less like a fried chicken patty. Still great just not as amazing as before. First time visiting here and was pleasantly surprised after seeing lots of critiques that it was crowded and cramped. We were early so it was quieter thankfully.

Amazing Pre-Theatre Dinner - Edit
We had a “speedy booking” as we had to leave at a certain time to get to the theatre. The staff were friendly and mindful of the speedy booking type. We only had two courses but they can serve three courses in one hour if you have room for dessert. It was exciting for me as a long term vegan to visit the flagship location and the food was amazing, I would definitely come back especially if going to one of the theatres nearby as the speedy booking worked out perfectly.

We will always come back - Edit
If I could give more than 5 stars, I’d hand over 10. ♥️
Read moreThis was our third visit and won’t be the last. For the following reasons..
Let’s start with a special shoutout to the absolute gem who looked after our table. She was warm, radiant, and had spot-on recommendations after listening patiently what our mood that day was food-wise. We trusted her with our cravings, and she delivered ! Figuratively and literally. 😉
From the outside, the place plays it cool, tucked between buildings in Soho, almost modest (but with that deep blue… you just can’t miss it. Beautiful.)
But step inside and voilà: a magnificent surprise. Spacious, buzzing, spread across multiple floors… proof that you should never judge a restaurant by its London façade.
Now comes the painful part: writing this from France, where my access to their biscoff banana pancakes is …nonexistent. The Caesar salad burger? A dream. The arancini with aioli? OMG. Mushroom skewers? Don’t get me started. And the Bloody Marys and margaritas? Let’s just say that we were a tiiiiny bit buzzed getting out of the restaurant. 🤣
Honestly, walking past this place without going in should be considered a minor offense. At the very least, you owe yourself a pistachio cheesecake or their white chocolate tiramisu… although fair warning: you will set your self up for a new addiction.
Mildred’s, my dear Mildred’s—you’ve had our hearts since 2023, and clearly, you’re not giving them back anytime soon. Thank you for being consistently brilliant, wonderfully inclusive, staffed with genuinely lovely humans, and for serving food that IS SO DAMN GOOD !!! 😩😄
For you muggles who haven’t joined the club yet : Go. Just go. Your future self will thank you. 🫶🏻
Pros: Employees, Environment, THE FOOOOOD

Amazing ! - Edit
Wanted to try this place for so long, cosy venue, friendly staff and the food is sooooo good !! Only negative is that the pistachio cheesecake was just not good at all 😔 did not taste like pistachio tasted more like lemon and the base was not biscuit it was soft and for us that just did not work, but other than that everything we had was 10 out of 10 👏

Limited offerings if you don't like spicy food - Edit
I was pleased to find that Mildred's has returned some of its classics to the menu. I had a mushroom pie, which was very nice. However, there are still too few options for those who don't like spicy food or who are unable to eat it for health or religious reasons.
Read moreThe restaurant was rather cold on the day we visited because of a problem with the heating.
The staff were friendly, particularly the Canadian who served us.
The toilets are unisex and do not have self-contained cubicles, i.e. the washing facilities are communal. This is not consistent with good practice and I am aware of women who have found this uncomfortable.

Tasty breakfast, but almost too hot to handle. - Edit
Me and GC barely made it in time for the breakfast menu, I'm glad we did.
Read moreMe and GC both got the full English breakfast.
Which was scrambled organic tofu, sausage, roast tomato & mushroom, sauté spinach, maple baked beans, home fries, sourdough toast.
We also each got the extra side of rasher, and I got an oat latte while GC got a pot of tea with oat milk.
The breakfast was really tasty and the most different take on a full breakfast I've ever had.
I wish they had been more descriptive with the menu as the spice was very surprising and a warning would have been nice.
I would have rated this higher if I had been able to request little to no spice.
The staff were lovely and it was nice of them to let us get the breakfast menu even though it was so close to being over.
But between the spice level and the price including service charge and platform fee being 53.39 it felt a bit high for breakfast really.
Pros: Interesting and delicious version of breakfast, Very nice staff
Cons: Spice levels, Price

Tasty food, but very spicy - Edit
I got a full English breakfast with added rashers, and a pot of everyday tea. I also tried some of Purp's oat milk latte.
Read moreThe tea and coffee were both delicious.
The breakfast was very nice, but I would have liked a warning about how spicy the ketchup and beans were. I love spicy food, but the beans and ketchup were almost too spicy for me. The beans were just described as "maple baked beans", so I'm really not sure why they were so spicy. The ketchup was not mentioned on the menu, but again I'm not sure why it was so spicy. If you struggle with spicy food then I'd advise not getting this breakfast. The rest of the breakfast was lovely though, especially the rashers and the spinach.
The staff were also lovely. We showed up at 11am on the dot, and that's when they stop serving breakfast, but they still allowed us to order from the breakfast menu. More people showed up around 20 minutes later and they were also allowed to order from the breakfast menu, so it seems that they're not too strict with the breakfast times.
Pros: Some of the food was delicious, Fast service, Friendly staff
Cons: Very spicy and not mentioned on menu, Very expensive

Still Dreaming About This Meal - Edit
By far the best restaurant I discovered during my time in London - five stars are simply not enough. After a long day of exploring the city, I ended up here and honestly couldn’t believe my eyes. The interior is beautiful and very thoughtfully designed, with clear fine-dining vibes. The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and welcoming.
Read moreThe restaurant was very busy, so I felt lucky to still get a table. The menu is full of creative and exciting dishes, although many of them include spicy elements or ingredients I personally don’t tolerate very well. The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable and recommended dishes that worked perfectly for me. I truly felt taken care of.
I started with the teriyaki cauliflower cups, which were absolutely outstanding, and for the main course I chose the Caesar chick*n burger – simply amazing. Yes, it’s a bit on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it. I still dream about this meal and honestly regret not coming back for brunch. I can’t wait to return.

Excellent range of food, sides and drink options. The staff are very attentive and do their best even in peak times! I strongly recommend reserving a table during busy hours beforehand as many people turned up without one and were turned away.
