Mildreds, established since 1988 and reported vegan in May 2021, operates several restaurants in London. Its changing menu offers British classics as well fusion meals, with example dishes like mushroom pie, Indian curry, lentil burger, tortilla chips and gucamole, burger with fries, waffles, vegan brownie with ice cream. This branch is small and gets crowded at rush hour so expect a wait. Cashless. Open Mon-Sat 09:00-23:00, Sun 09:00-22:00.

Really nice place with very friendly staff, fast serving, really nice selection and the dish I got was really nice though it was not really my style of food, but wanted something that felt a bit British, so mushroom pie it was.

This place was too cute! Staff was so kind as well! AND THE FLAVORS! Exceptional! Rose Chai cold brew is DIVINE! Kimchi fried rice is mouthwatering just thinking about it! Caesar salad had so many inventive additions! I was so so happy and the walls are so fun to read!

Read moreAlthough it was busy, the staff was attentive, and service was quick without feeling rushed! The meal was good but just missing the detail that would make it exceptional. Overall, all the food was very good and I would be interested in trying different items on the menu!
The hummus tasted okay - it could have done with more seasoning and the pepper cut up rather than serving it whole as this felt a bit out of place with the dish. The focaccia itself I don't think could be described as that type of bread - it was more of a (bigger) banquette taste and texture and probably the meal item I feel can be improved or reclassified on the menu! The tofu main was tasty but only 6 pieces of tofu and the sauce tasted similar to a (vegan) mayonnaise. The truffle was one of the highlights but a little one-dimensional and sweet considering the ginger.
Pros: Quick and fiendly service, The food tasted good, Refreshing drinks
Cons: Food just be elevated with some tweaks

Have been coming here for over 10 years. I fondly recall the mushroom and ale pie with mushy peas and the old skool burger of the day they used to do with big old sweet potato fries and basil mayo. No bean burgers now but this place always goes down well with anyone I take and invariably I End up here for Christmas dinner.

Small restaraunt in Soho, entirely vegan. Good menu. I had the hot mushroom ale pie which was delectable followed by the equally delicious tiramasu, all for under £30. Friendly and efficient service. Very popular with a queue to get in. Loved it!

I ventured into the Soho restaurant and I was so delighted to have found a vegan restaurant and know I could eat EVERYTHING on the menu!
Read moreMy friend and I were met with a friendly greeting and taken to our table and presented with three menus - a tasting menu, a Christmas menu and the regular one.
There is so much to choose from, but I had the dauphinoise leek lattice for my main. It was huge and filled with big flavours.
I had sticky toffee pudding and Icecream for dessert and washed it down with a delicious dark chocolate Old Fashioned.
I am definitely going back as everything they brought out to their customers looked and smelled delicious and all around me I could hear satisfied ‘mmm’s’.
It’s not cheap but oh boy, it was so worth it.
Do you taste buds a favour and go and try it!
The service was excellent too. 10/10 from me.

Iv been going to Mildreds off and on for the best part of 30 years. Iv not been to this soho set up before. It is wonderful. The food is top, I had a rich mushroom pie with puff pastry , peas, roast potato’s and gravy, the best Iv had this year.

Read moreI reserved my table few hours earlier and we i’ve arrived i waited just 5 min and then my table was ready despite the restaurant was so full.
The staff was really friendly and made the experience even more enjoyable.
The food was so good, especially the arancini!
I also ordered the gyoza (nothing special in my opinion) and the kimchi bokkeumbap that was so flavoured!

Updated review November 2024. The food is still excellent but the service has slipped a little since my last visit (hence the 4 stars). Difficult to get staff attention, had to ask for the bill more than once. Disappointingly they also were unable to adjust their tasting menu to account for a chocolate allergy. This would have meant changing just one course, but instead they offered an extra dessert but as a pay extra option. Fine, but lacked a little latitude and also meant we spent less money with them. Odd.

Highly recommend ordering the tasting menu. Each dish was absolutely delicious and brought a unique flavour and texture to the meal (nothing we didn’t love). The staff are super friendly and the decor/music is a vibe. Book a table in advance because this place is busy!

Delicious food in a vibrant atmosphere - Edit

Read moreI had the salt and pepper tofu which was nice but needed more tofu. My wife has the mushroom pot pie which she rated highly, particularly the pastry.
I’ve had one of the burgers before but wish i went for this as i got serious food envy from those sitting around us.
Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our mains but the manager kindly didn’t charge us. The staff here are great and they were simply rushed off their feet with some confusion going on (i think our meals were given to others who ordered the same).
