Mildreds, established since 1988 and reported vegan in May 2021, operates several restaurants in London. Its changing menu offers British classics as well fusion meals, with example dishes like mushroom pie, Indian curry, lentil burger, tortilla chips and gucamole, burger with fries, waffles, vegan brownie with ice cream. This branch is small and gets crowded at rush hour so expect a wait. Cashless. Open Mon-Sat 09:00-23:00, Sun 09:00-22:00.

Great staff and service - Edit
The food was good, but either too spicy or too salty for my pallet. Fortunately, the staff happily received my feedback and thanked me for speaking up- a reaction/response that many restaurants do not carry. I was very grateful to feel safe enough to share my honest experience! 🥰 lovely people, truly.

Enchiladas- my sister loved them, but they were too spicy even for her and she said she wishes the guacamole didn’t have peas because why are they even in there? Haha this dish was also missing a cooling factor like cilantro or something. 7.5/10
Pot Pie- not an actual pie. Too salty. I sent it back. The gravy was good though. Pastry top was very flaky, but also sweet? This dish confused me 😅 the mushroom pie was literally only mushrooms haha why did I think it would be a veggie pie with mushrooms in it 😭 2/10
Crème brûlée is more of a flan and the top was not at all hard or breakable. I really wish they would just call it flan 😅 3/10

After trying another Mildred's location, we've chosen this place for a friendly meet-up. The service was really fast, and all of us loved the food. The Enchiladas were really "cheesy" and filling, kimchi tofu rice was good and original as well.

Had a little “date night” before a theatre show last week and we both loved the food and drinks. Made a reservation last minute, showed up 10 min late (took longer to walk than expected ) no problems.

Amazing pancakes🌱 - Edit
The first thing I did when I arrived in London was to visit Mildred's for breakfast. I had seen their pancakes on my Instagram feed and it was almost a necessity to try them on my trip. Luckily, they tasted as good as they looked, so it was a great decision!

Everyone working here seems sincerely happy. I ordered an Ale Mushroom Pot Pie, and my taste buds are still happy. The Cappuccino was also really good. There are 3 floors, with several rooms, all differently styled, all with a different feel, some quite cozy. If I weren't so sated already, I would really like to try their desserts. Next time!

We visited to celebrate my husband’s 60th. When I booked they asked whether it was a special occasion and I said it was a birthday. When we arrived we were asked who was celebrating and I said it was for my husband’s 60th. I assumed this meant there would be a treat of some sort. However, the waiter went in to do a hard-sell on the tasting menu. We did opt for the tasting menu and the food was outstanding. Such a treat to be served vegan food as good as this. Thank you to the chef!However, the same couldn’t be said for the service. I don’t mind paying premium prices if you get the experience to match. We didn’t see the person who greeted us initially again. We were served by someone else; continuity would have been nice. It was very difficult to get the attention of the waiter who seem led to be assigned to our area. He seemed overwhelmed. We were not offered more drinks, nor were we offered water even though there were water glasses on the table. We were also slightly nonplussed by the artwork of prone female nudes. If you are going to choose a theme like this, then at least balance it out with some male nudes. If you are not comfortable doing this, then maybe choose a different theme.

My favourite restaurant - Edit
I've now been to this restaurant 3 times and each time was better than the last - every time I've got the vegan burger with vegan cheese, sweet potato fries and vegan mayo and it's just the best. Will have to try to order something different next time - I've also tasted the Thai green curry and that was amazing too!!

It was really bland. It needed a sauce or something & I wouldn't call the tofu a steak. It was just bland tofu. The waiter was also really pushy and the tables are so close together.

Always a favorite when I’m London. It’s not a trip to London without a stop at Mildred’s. Popped into the soho location today last minute and they were able to seat me quickly and the food came out really fast. Service is always great, super friendly staff. Food is delicious.
