A taste extravaganza - Edit
Super unique dishes, such a cute and chic atmosphere. Ridiculously good gluten free bread. The only down side was that I couldn't understand half of the menu because so many meals had ingredients that I had never heard of before, but it made for an adventurous and interesting dining experience!

AMAZING FOOD & COCKTAILS!!! - Edit
Every time we are around Borough Market, my mother and I come to mallow to enjoy literally some of the best food we have ever eaten. The seasonal menu makes it even more special! Genuinely could not recommend this place enough!!!

Amazing food but not cheap - Edit
Finally visited at the weekend having heard lots about it. Truly lived up to the hype. We chose to stick to a selection of small plates and have to say that without exception we loved absolutely every one.

I was there with my daughter and we were served really well. The food was great and the only problem is the fake names dishes, so we mixed the food. But Salads, Hummus and the Aubergine dish were great.

Not far from the tate if you’re visiting. Lovely bread, tortellini and lemon pepper fries. Staff were really nice. I was seated at the bar so could see the kitchen which I really liked. Would advise booking as it’s busy.

The crème brûlée French toast was delicious. Tender yet with a light caramelized crisp, yummy raspberry sauce, and crème. Worth the journey, and a light yet decadent breakfast.

I was a bit disappointed with my beetroot burger- it was ok but not hugely flavourful (especially comparing it to my meal at Mildred’s! But the crème brûlée was a delight and saved it for me. Next time I wouldn’t choose a burger and maybe I’d enjoy more

There was nothing to not like about this place. The food was great, the staff were kind and attentive, and a staff member even went above and beyond to return my phone to me after I had left the restaurant and accidentally left it on the table. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

Read moreMy husband booked this for my 50th birthday since it’s one of the Top 5 vegan restaurants in London (I’m vegan, he’s veggie). We were joined by a couple of friends.
Starters: The mushroom croquettes were to die for, the tortelloni was fabulous and the sourdough with onion cream was heavenly.
Mains: The five spice tofu with rice was ok but tofu chunks slightly larger so a tad bland inside as they hadn’t been marinated (apparently).
My husband chose the ‘chicken burger’ and my friend and I both opted for the beetroot tempeh smashed burger.
Typical that I was the only vegan and prefer not to eat faux meat dishes and they messed up my beetroot tempeh smashed burger for a chick*n burger. They were so apologetic but I hate food waste more than I do eating faux meats and I wouldn’t let them change it.
Ee also had a couple of bottles of the NZ red, very nice but I’m not a huge drinker.
The portions were so good that everyone else had a desert wine while I had the chocolate cake/torte with passion fruit. I had to wait so long for it to arrive that we were sure they had forgotten. My friends and husbands desert wines were long gone. Still, it was rich, moist and flavoursome and I couldn’t finish it. Unusual for me.
Service was very friendly. Our Brazilian waiter didn’t provide a name but they were attentive, provided great recommendations and lots of friendly chitchat. 💜

Have been wanting to go to mallow for ages and finally went yesterday for a birthday treat with 3 friends. The venue itself is lovely, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The staff were great, the service was friendly and efficient. We loved our Brazilian waiter (sorry we didn't catch his name), he was so helpful with menu and wine choices and very personable.

- the sourdough, and onion caramel butter was divine (my non vegan friends left wondering how it was soooo creamy),
- hummus and lime pickle chickpeas (so smooth),
- the shiitake croquettes (deliciously mushroomy),
- dumplings (the gochujang sauce was amazing, I wish I could have brought a bottle home)
- and the spinach dahi puri (lovely crunchy parcels of flavour)
We had a large plate each, 3 opting for the burnt aubergine muhammara borek which was sooooo yummy and one opting for the mushroom biryani which she said was delicious. The only downside was that non of us could finish our plates as we were so full, if we hadn't been going on for drinks I would have asked for a doggy bag.
We had two cocktails: a lychee martini (amazing) and lemongrass sour (delicious and not too lemongrassy) and a carafe of red. All in all the total came to just under £50 each, which we thought was very reasonable for the quality.
Had a lovely time and we are already planning to return.

Everyone (online and waiting staff too!) recommended the croquettes and gyoza for starters, so that's what I went for. I was just here for lunch so decided that would be enough.
It wasn't a bad decision as the food was cooked to perfection and was truly delicious, but I wasn't very full afterwards... I've also never been more impressed with a garnish - those pink leeks might be some of the best things I've ever eaten.
Not one to visit if you've a huge appetite and very deep pockets, but having wanted to visit for a long time, I'm glad I went and would love to go back for the mains and more of those pink leeks 🤤
Pros: Delicious starters, to-die for!, Lovely staff, Gorgeous seating area
