Exceptional food and cocktails - Edit
Perfect lunch venue escaping the hustle and bustle of the market. Started with the bread and hummous, toasted to bring out the flavour and accompanied by a lovely oil dressing.

Delicious brunch - Edit
Great location next to the lively Borough Market, but inside it's an oasis of vegan deliciousness! We had a delicious brunch while enjoying the gorgeous interior. The portions are generous, and two savory and two sweet options will make anyone happy - we opted for the Mediterranean platter and the mango Ras Malai French toast and both were incredible!

Best Vegan Meal of My Life! - Edit
Loved everything we ordered: croquettes, potatoes hash browns which are VERY elevated, the tomato strawberry salad and the oyster mushroom kabob. The dessert was out of this world: mille feuille.

Amazing brunch - Edit
Couldn't recommend more - one of our favourite vegan brunches! We went at the weekend, so brunch only had four options, but the three we tried were all amazing. We had tiramisu pancakes, ras malai french toast and the market meze brunch. The pancakes tasted beautiful and were very special. The french toast was lovely and soft and the meze brunch was super filling and full of flavour. The combinations were imaginative and unique and it felt like true effort went into their creation! The presentation was beautiful and enjoyed by all of us. A perfect example of how vegan food doesn't lose any of the flavour!
Read moreThe restaurant has a lovely vibe and friendly staff. The juices were a little pricey considering the small portion, but the whole experience was very special.

Very good, get the dessert - Edit
I went to Mallow twice, there were stand-outs during both visits.
Read more#1, The mushroom ravioli was extremely good. Perhaps I wasn't 100% in the mood for Aubergine. It was good, but imo better to split with someone. Same thing goes for the saffron rice, it was too big of a portion for me that evening. The negroni mocktail was tasty. Overall I think I ordered too much and made not the best decisions, woops.
#2, I went with a friend, so that solved my major issues with visit #1 😅. We had the courgette, croquettes, charred leek, gobi w/ pita and saffron rice. All of that was very good! ...And then we finished with the pistachio tres leches. My gawd, that was quite the finisher!
Really would like to go back and try the summer tasting menu.
Tldr: went twice, 1st was good, 2nd amazing. Giving 5 stars because the 1st experience was most likely me ordering incorrectly for what I was feeling.
Pros: Dessert, amazing, Flavorful, healthful

Delicious but small portions - Edit
The food is all really delicious but I came here to warn you that the portions - at least for what I got, the mushroom ravioli - are so small! It was literally two pieces of pasta. And a wine flute which is 3 wines was about two sips each. Maybe that's normal for a flute, I don't know. Just warning you. It's super tasty but perhaps be savvy about what you order to make sure you'll be full at the end. The pistachio pandan tres leche dessert was to DIE for, I will say 😍

We ate at the bar, which gave us a view into the kitchen and was fun. The height of the countertop to the height of the stool makes it a little awkward.
Read moreFood was fabulous, beautifully presented and portion size was not large.
All the flavors worked perfectly on the fatoush. The mushroom skewers with two sauces blended really well. The crème brûlée light and not overly sweet.

A Vegan Institution - Edit
First up, it is worth mentioning this location is adjacent to Southwark Cathedral - whatever old building it is established in, it is a gorgeous and airy setting to dine in. Particularly with an upstairs seat, and the big windows, looking out into this niche of London is delightful!
Read moreThe food here is excellent and the service staff are very friendly and chatty! The big breakfast was everything you'd hope for in something typically British, and the other dishes were great too. Coffee and drinks here were nice, including the mocktails.
Fairly gluten-free friendly. Little expensive, but quality and portions were fair at least.
Well worth the experience! Big ol' recommendation from us!!
Side note: They advertise as being (some of) the people who established Mildred's, another Vegan franchise in London. The food is certainly not dissimilar, but I would say Mallow probably edges out Mildred's for quality and flavour - and that is not to say the latter is bad at all, but a testament to the food at Mallow.
Pros: English Big Breakfast, Gorgeous, airy restaurant, Gluten Free Friendly
Cons: Touch pricey

Delicious food, stellar service, but could use a tidy up - Edit
Food and service 5 stars. The market menu dinner offers a varied and generous selection of their dishes. Everything is delicious, and even hearty appetites will be satisfied. Only downside is the cleanliness of the interior - the furnishing is a little dingy and could use a thorough cleaning.

MUST get the truffles - Edit
ordered the aubergine and the oyster mushroom skewers and split with my partner. The aubergine wasn't anything special, but the skewer was great! lots of left over sauce from both, so we ordered sourdough to dip and that was the best part of the meal. based on our experience and the other things we saw around the room, if we had to do it again we would do the pepper skewer (only 4£!), sourdough, and small dishes - the portion sizes looked the same and were way less expensive.
Read moreEDIT: wrote this review before ordering dessert. got the truffles (which were a bit more like fudge than truffles). worth going here even if it's just for the truffles. even after spending time in Belgium and Holland, these might be the best chocolate I've ever had.

Great but very pricey - Edit
We were welcomed extraordinary kindly and liked the place from the first minute. The menu offers very interesting dishes - I tried the oyster mushroom skewers. That small dish came with a lot of taste, but had a proud price: 19.5 £ for I think 4 mushrooms, 1 onion and a cucumber salad.
