Nice vibe

Sister resto of The Hungry Tapir. Everything is pink and they were playing Bossa Nova. 🎶

Te Tarik
Coconut milk hot tea was good, albeit sweet, so ask if you want less Gula.

Ayam Panyat
The smashed fried seitan chicken was pretty good, but needed more sauce, and more spice. Wasn't keen on the tofu they used (this one tasted weird?)

I got a mango cashew cheesecake, and thy were doing 2-for-1, so I got a blueberry cashew cheesecake as well . Both were good, and even I'm not that greedy, so I got a doggy bag to take half of each slice back to my hotel.

I wouldn't mind trying the mushroom rendang croissant, but I don't have enough stomach for it tonight!

Overall, the food was ok, but I've had better, including Nasi Lemak and satay mushroom sticks at The Hungry Tapir, just down the same street.

Excellent vegan food

Fully vegan place near Chinatown.

Delicious vegan food but most dishes are western inspired.

Friendly staff and fast service. Priced are a bit higher than normal in Kuala Lumpur.

Lot of seats inside with cool interior.

Pros: Full vegan menu, Good and friendly service , Prices are a bit higher

Cons: Mostly western inspired menu

Absolutely delicious

Visited La Gula just before heading to the airport. Went their with my brother and my parents. We all loved the food. They also have cocktails and mocktails. Everything was delicious. Whatever we tried was delicious. My particular favorite was the fish and chips, and the fried seafood. But don’t get me wrong, everything was delicious.

Great pie!

We visited La Gula for a post dinner dessert. I had the banofee pie and my dad had the mango cheesecake. My banofee pie was out of this world.

Delicious (but expensive)

Beautiful place for very high vegan quality food.

The service is impeccable! Friendly and professional.

The live band was... not good. It looked like they were practicing. Always stopping and correcting.

But anyway, this is the place to go for vegan people. And also for the others!

Expensive, but worth it.

Pros: Food (burger), Service, Atmosphere

Cons: Price, Music band

Western and expensive for Malaysia

A nice, cool, Instagramable place. However, was really disappointed by portion size of my bagel for the price! Everything was tasty though, enjoyed both my drinks. Cocktails also available (3 for 100RM). Would have got more things if it had been less expensive.

First time, loved it!

We went to the Happy Tapir for our third or fourth time to find it shut. I’d read that La Gula opened so we tried that and it was fantastic, different menu but retaining some of the best bits of the original. Excellent service. So pleased to find places like this.

Pros: Menu, Price, Service

Good ambience

Nice ambience, great smoothies. The salad was ok and I wish they had more healthy options in the menu but the food is quite tasty.

What a wonderful spot

Came here for breakfast and wasn’t disappointed. It’s a bit pricey so not something I would come back to too often but once in a while allow yourself to indulge. Food and coffee were spot on.

Delicious croissants

This place is located in Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur close to Pasar Seni LRT train station. There are a few beggars and homeless people around Pasar Seni train station, which I thought was quite shocking to see the inequality in Kuala Lumpur. La Gula is a very pink place. I ordered the Mushroom Rendang Croissant and Iced Oat Latte and it was great. I wanted to visit again but unfortunately only visited once, but based on my one visit I highly recommend this place. The food was delicious and the staff were very professional.

Amazing!!!

A lovely little cafe that's part of Hungry Tapir. They have soo many cakes and pastries! Really tasty, my fav was the lemon and blueberry and the pain o chocolat ! The drinks and whole menu also looks good! there was a deal after 3pm where you can buy 2 get one free, so I bought some for the morning😄good service too!

Fantastic

I ordered the pancakes and a variety of pastries with a coffee. Pancakes were delicious, not sure why they car called biscoff and strawberry pancakes as they don’t have any biscoff rather they have a butterscotch sauce which was way too sweet. Pastries are good however they are covered in extra sugar which is totally unnecessary. Coffee was also very good

Came back for dinner. I had the schnitzel which was delicious and my fiancée had the steak which he said was probably the best vegan steak he’s tried so far (he’s not vegan)

Vegan pastry galore

Tried a few of their pastries - they were a little tough but the flavour was spot on. My favourites were the almond croissant and sausage and cheese croissant. Lots of other cakes and dessert options too.

Cute and tasty

During my first visit I tired the coconut soup with “fish” balls and it was so delightful that the next time I couldn’t help myself and ordered exactly the same thing. So, strongly recommend!

Matcha is good, very strong. I came straight after the airport after a very early flight and I tell you, one cup made a big difference.

The space itself is adorable. I love how they played with the staged zone.

I saw lots of people trying bakery stuff. I’m not so much into bread-kinda-things, but people seemed to enjoy. And it’s not easy to find vegan bakery around the city.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Thank you very much, I did have a great experience!

Fun place

The vibes, pastries and options are really great and you'll wish you arrived more hungry so you could eat even more of the menu!

In my opinion the actual food is a little bit less good than at the hungry tapir, but still an incredible spot.

cant help but love this place

I've been here a lot because their food is really delicious and also special, they have some flavour combos i havent had before. also their drinks are nice and the ambiente and interior really seals the deal. i will say one thing, we once got the sweet croissants from the dessert shelf and they were quite dry, bummer. the other things always were really good
