Lovely place - Edit
If visiting Chinatown definitely worth a visit. Lovely restaurant with great vibe and cocktails. Food was pretty good although not excellent, but that may have been due to what we chose.

Loved it - Edit
I wasn’t sure it was worth the hype but so glad we went. I was craving nasi lemak and hadn’t been able to find a vegan variety during our time in Penang and KL so this was lovely to find! Roti canai was brill too - nice and crispy.

So impressed! - Edit
The food here is absolutely delectable. We were more interested in the starters so we ordered tempeh fries, satay mushroom skewers and mac and cheese to share between 2 people. This was a huge amount of food, you could definitely share 2 or 3 appetisers instead.
Read moreEverything was perfect! The tempeh fries were so crunchy and crisp, the creamy mac and cheese had just the right amount of truffle and was packed with different types of mushrooms. My personal favourite were the skewers which were chewy and meaty, with an addictive dipping sauce. I would definitely recommend coming here, and come hungry!
Edit: we returned and were once again wowed by the food. The place was packed for dinner so I definitely recommend reserving.

3rd visit - will go again! - Edit
A fantastic atmosphere, excellent service and an exciting menu! The burger was 5* and some of the other food I’ve ordered previously were 5* but the only reason for a lower score is that I’ve had better ‘fried cheeken’ (oyster mushroom) which is typically my go-to favourite style appetiser.

Dark and cool place in Chinatown providing high quality food - Edit
This place is located in Chinatown, close to the Pasar Seni LRT train station in Kuala Lumpur. It is located on the second floor with a small door leading up stairs to the restaurant. The place has a dark atmosphere and is very cool, contrasting to the brightness and heat outside (if it's daytime). I came here twice and both times the food was great, although the prices here are expectedly higher than other places in KL.

The food and atmosphere is goood! - Edit
The nasi lemak, mac n cheese, full breakfast and tempeh sandwich are amazing!!!! and the mushroom skewers!! although they use hedgehog mushroom in the nasi lemak too which is so good. The Mac n cheese is the best I've ever had in a restaurant! So unique with tempeh and mushroom! The matcha and deserts are also good. One of my fav places in KL!

Tapir friendly food - Edit
Visited here for a ‘fancier’ meal whilst travelling SEA - all the food was very delicious and appeared to be more Malaysian fusion than straight up Malay cuisine. The food was delicious and the portion size was good. They also have a good dessert menu which my boyfriend and I enjoyed. At the time we visited the staff seemed very busy so be prepared and book in advance as that decides where you will sit.

Absolutely stunning experience - Edit
Probably the best thing for me was the staff. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly! So I really wanted to mention is before reviewing the food ♥️
Read moreThe food was also quite good. I liked that they kinda have a theme of local cuisine adjusted to vegan diet.
My choice fell on laksa soup, which was delightful. Though, if you are not very tolerant to spicy food, maybe skip this one.
And I also had rainbow fried rice with hedgehog mushrooms. It was a good one.
The place also offers a very good matcha, strong enough to boost your energy for the full day of walking!
Thank you very much 🙏🏻 I really enjoyed the experience!
Pros: Staff, Matcha, Laksa soup

If we had dinner here the first day, we wouldn’t have gone anywhere else - Edit
Towards the end of our trip, we went to THT. Place was a bit hard to find as we missed the sign and that this was not on ground level.
Read moreSeated promptly. The servers are super attentive. We thought it was too dark for us to read the menu, but two set of customers did the same, removed their phone and lighted up the menu.
Spicy vegan Tempeh Fingers - Normally Tempeh is not the first thing we order, but glad we did. Fried to perfection and crispy, golden brown. Didn’t find them spicy with or without soy sauce dip provided. The coating outside was just amazing.
Vegan Fried Cheekan - Now that is a dish! Looked as it came from KFC. The Oyster mushrooms were so good. The crunch outside and the soft mushroom made a good combination. The vegan mayo was amazing as well.
The Vegan TLTA - Tempeh, Lettice, Tomatoes and Avocado on sourdough slices. The sandwich simple but still so elegant. The layers work so well together and the bread was perfect. The sweet potato fries and dip.
Vegan Jungle Laksa - Big Bowl of Laksa soup full of coconut and spices. The gravy a bit grainy for our taste. Good spice and the noodles good. The tofu skin (I think) topped was good.
We were so full, that we couldn’t finish and we packed the leftovers. The bag had a special handwritten note. That itself was absolutely amazing. #Veganuary
Pros: Fried Cheekan (Oyster Mushrooms)
Cons: Too dark inside, Not on main floor - not easily accessible for some

We ate here several times. I'd say all of it is good but the locally inspired food is the best! Expecially the local heroes sharing plate. Amazing location, vibes and beautiful place to sit
