One of the best vegan meals I have had!

Great atmosphere in this cozy upstairs restaurant. We had the shared menu for 2 people - fantastic flavours and variety of dishes. All the staff were super friendly and aimed to please. Will definitely be back!

big yum

Was reaaaally difficult to pick what to eat because everything sounded too good. We ended up choosing the nasi lemak, friend cheeken, pulled bbq pok bap. All three were delicious with generous serving sizes.

There was heaps of cakes and desserts at the counter that looked amazing but I was just too full to try any.

Really really recommend while in KL.

This restaurant offers lots of options of both traditional Malay food and western food. Everything is delicious and fresh. If it was closer to my place I would have definitely come back

Vegan Bar & Impressive Fusion Menu

Fully vegan restaurant with chic atmosphere, featuring a bar and fusion menu. While we didn’t order the cocktails or Western-inspired dishes, the Malaysian-inspired food we ordered absolutely blew us away and we returned during our short trip just to have more! Amazed by how they focused mainly on whole-food plant-based ingredients such as hedgehog mushrooms, yet created such flavour bombs that very single dish was a party in our mouths. My partner and I rated this our top favourite eatery in KL, highly recommended it to our friends, and would love to revisit in the future if possible! Btw they have live bands on selected nights too~ This outlet is located in Chinatown, just a stone’s throw away from the famous Kwai Chai Hong restored heritage laneway showcasing 1960s-era interactive murals. There is another newer outlet located in Bangsar as well!

The Hungry Tapir

We absolutely adored this restaurant! The ambiance and decor were simply lovely, and the staff were incredibly friendly. They offer a wide variety of options, but the jungle curry laksa is a must-try! The broth was rich and flavorful, and the tofu was incredibly spongy, soaking up every drop of deliciousness. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the veggies inside were equally tasty.

We also ordered a tempeh appetizer, which was fantastic. For takeaway, we ordered three of their baked goods, but unfortunately, they didn’t quite live up to our expectations. The chocolate croissant and butter croissant were so hard that I couldn’t even finish a bite. The red velvet cookie was delicious, but I didn’t care for the white ingredients in the center.

Despite these minor hiccups, we had a wonderful time at this restaurant and would definitely return for the laksa and tempeh!

Excellent vegan dining!

I loved my experience here from the artwork/posters in the stairs leading up to the restaurant, the atmosphere, and the food. I walked in without a reservation as a solo customer, and I was seated at the long table by the front window. I ordered the jungle laksa and chrysanthemum kombucha. Both were superb. I wanted to order lots more but resisted since I was eating alone. It would have been wasted. If I am being nitpicky, I’d say the veggies (green beans and eggplant) in the laksa could have had a bit more flavor. Maybe prepared with a sear/caramelization. I didn’t spend much time thinking about that as I finished the entire serving. I’ll almost definitely return here before I leave KL.

Wonderful

Beautiful restaurant, 100% vegan. Staff are warm, friendly and helpful.
We had the rendang baguette, the TLTA sando, whipped tofu and miso bowl and the masak lemak fettuccine. Oh and the spicy tempeh fingers. All amazing, generous portions. I also had mango ice cream for dessert, one scoop which was huge. The entire menu looks delicious, as does the drinks menu. It was too hot for cocktails so we had juice and water.
Highly recommended for anyone in KL.

Amazing food

I went here because of the diverse menu, with many fusion dishes you can only find here. Unfortunately when I was there half of the menu wasn’t available, especially none of the bread products (which was what I wanted to try).
Instead I opted for the traditional roti canai, which was confirmed to be only a little spicy the spicy would be on the side. The food was very delicious (my first roti canai ever) with the spicy tempeh indeed being a bit spicy, but not too much. I also opted for a lychee rose kombucha which was delicious too. Staff was very friendly and attentive and portion size was good. I would’ve tried one of there delicious looking cakes but I was too full.

It has to be mentioned I went there on a Tuesday at noon and they seemed to be closed. Either they close some days without notice, or maybe they sometimes open later than 12.00.

2026: a little disappointed with our return visit today. The food was good although the caeser salad was a little bland. We found the staff to be rude. One of the servers was clearly annoyed with us for asking for a coffee and her misunderstanding thinking we wanted another meal even though we had finished eating. When we corrected her she was rude and made us feel bad for her error. It left a bad taste and we won't be back.

2024/25: The resturant is beautifully decorated and atmospheric
The staff are lovely and the food is incredible! Cannot fault it! Especially loved that there are kids options and the 'fried cheeken'. Highly recommend

Best vegan food in KL

They've got a wide menu where you can try adaptations on Malaysian food and your other favourites like burgers, pasta etc. We normally getting the sharing platter and enjoy and mix. The drinks are very good too. The cakes are even better. Service is excellent and it always has a nice atmosphere.

Nice place

We visited this lively spot twice and really enjoyed the vibe. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming!

The place has two distinct seating areas: one near the window, which is bright and airy, and a main hall with dim lighting. The main hall is quite cozy, though it can be a bit of a challenge to read the menu in the dark! :)

Food-wise, we tried the beetroot burger(i dont eat bread, so asked without a bun, unfortunately wasn’ really satisfied by patty) tempeh sticks, and the tofu scramble. We also had the hibiscus tea — a little tip: ask for some syrup on the side, it really brings out the flavour and makes it much more delicious.

Last time had salad and pasta which were actually better selection than today’s.

What is nice - they have a great selection of cakes 🍰

Place to be in KL?

Lovely and relaxed

Off the street and up the stairs to a great room with plenty of character. The room had a great relaxing feeling with exposed wooden ceilings and brickwork. Food was great and service was just right(Gav was our waiter) This was a great find and if we were staying in KL we would probably be there every night

Pros: Tasty food, Good selection (food and drink), Atmosphere

Cons: Lighting was a bit dim

Wonderful food & ambience

The vibes are so fun, the staff was so friendly, and the food was delicious! Recommend for a nice dinner while in KL. I didn't quite love the "steakk" (lionsmane mushroom) because I think it wasn't salty/flavored enough but the jungle laksa was delicious, as was the citrus-y and very refreshing tempeh salad. I also got a kombucha which was great!
