Buffet where you pay for every dish you add. Two dishes are €10. Not a lot of protein in the dishes, but I enjoyed it. I also had a raw chocolate cake for €6.

Comfort food, huge portions! - Edit
I really enjoyed my meal at La Cucina. You get to create your own dish by choosing different options on the menu, so I tried the lasagne and potato salad. Both were very wholesome and delicious. I think the menu changes everyday. They also have nice outdoor seating. Huuuuge portions!

Simple, delicious, uniquely Italian vegan food. - Edit
Delicious food. Gave us a lovely vegan glimpse into Sicilian food on our first night in Italy. The chickpea fritters are super unique and terrific. The drunken broccoli was spot on. And the hazelnut pudding for desert, a masterpiece. For two we shared a plate with 4 items off the menu (which was full of vegan options) and a dessert, which came out to around €21. Highly recommended.

We felt happy and thankful - Edit
We arrived at the restaurant late and without reservation. We were told we had to wait at least 20/30 min, since it was cold outside we were offered to wait inside. Very soon the waiters came out with an idea and a small table for two was improvised. Despite the fact that the restaurant was full and busy, we were served soon and the food was delicious. We had a great dinner and we left happy and thankful. Recommended!

Amazing! - Edit
Came here twice during a 3 night stay in Catania. The restaurant is modern and the waiting staff are really friendly.
Read moreThe food is phenomenal with most of the menu being vegan when I visited. The menu is clear as to what is vegan and not.
Both times I had a mixed plate of 4 dishes for €14. While I suppose this could seem pricey (especially for Catania) the food really was a cut above and I was happy to pay.
Try to get there early as it gets really busy in the evening.

Small buffet selection with many vegan options available. Friendly English speaking staff & a lovely cool restaurant space. No sweets or coffee available though. Was very busy around lunchtime.

Lovely veggie place in the heart of Catania - Edit
We had a very tasty lunch today there - it was very refreshing to have relatively healthy food after few days on pizza&pasta. You can choose from different dishes (vegan/vegetarian), the english speaking staff was happy to explain everything. We tried two plates with three options each (you pay 12€ for one plate) and everything was very tasty, I must say though that for example chickpea fritters weren't probably profoundly healthy;) (yet good). Nice ambiente, it was almost full around 13:00 (many locals). Baby friendly (baby chair & changing table availible).

Good and healthy food but simple and a bit pricey - Edit
This vegetarian restaurant offers a buffet with many vegan options (the waiter is very helpful). You can ask for 2, 3 or 4 different dishes from 10 to 14 euros resp. They also had two vegan desserts (hazelnut and chocolate puddings). Portions are generous and the food is tasty, made of good products. But it's more like a canteen with sometimes rather simple dishes and 14 euros for a big plate is expensive for Catania. The staff is very friendly and the place is pleasant so stopping here is usually a good idea, namely if you look for healthy food.

Fresh organic food - Edit
The waiter was welcoming and explained which dishes were vegan. The lunch options are all on display so you can see what you are ordering. They were mainly focussed around seasonal vegetables and included a pumpkin dish which I particularly enjoyed.

Good food and nice service - Edit
We liked the food. During lunch time it is more like a canteen, but that didn‘t bother us. And a lot of locals seemed to like it as well. In the evening you get a different menu. We liked both and the service was really nice as well!!

Incredible Vegan Options! - Edit
We absolutely loved the range of food and organic wines/Draught Beers. Option to purchase one meal (between 7-9€) or two mains for €10, three mains for €12 or four for €14. We chose three for €12 and had the organic pasta with basil, vegan vegetable fritters and the summer salad, with my partner having the same but switching the salad for roasted potatoes (which were roasted to perfection!). We also tried the peach and vanilla jelly for dessert. The staff were very friendly and the food was served quickly, however you may need to book as it can get very busy. Also note that I understand the menu to change regularly and what is available day to day my differ.

Lovely vegan lunch - Edit
I went here for lunch and I had a lovely meal! They have all their food on display and I pricewise there was the option to choose (I think) 2, 3 or 4 components. They had some different salads, some rice, some fritters baked aubergines, some seitan. Plenty of choices and food was tasty! Staff took the time to explain what the options were and I thought it was nice to be able to see the food I could choose from. Portion size pretty good. Had some nice local beer with my lunch. It is a pretty informal setting and there's an open kitchen.

Lunch buffet - Edit
We had a very filling lunch here. Most of the lunch buffet is vegan with only a few dishes that were vegetarian. You pick two items for €10, 3 for €12 or 4 for €14. We had three plates of 4 items each for 2 adults and 2 kids and tried a variety of the vegan dishes on the buffet. They also have vegan dessert you can purchase a la Carte. Most of the dishes were interesting vegetables. They also had tempura, seitan cutlets, cous cous and rice dishes. Everything was tasty. The dinner may be a traditional menu and not a buffet but check to be sure.

Fresh Clean and Tasty! - Edit
I felt the clean and fresh atmosphere as I entered the restaurant. The lunch meals that day were 95% Plantbased. Well spiced... fresh and seasonal ingredients. The people working there are very gentle. I think it is very important to have a place like La Cucina Dei Colori at Catania. I’m glad I went there! ❤️❤️❤️
