I visited with my omni boyfriend who is from the area. We were both very impressed with the range of options, price and atmosphere. The ‘bacon’ they do is delicious. We will be certainly coming back when we are in the area.

LOVELY SPOT

Thriving vegan spot in the centre. Big variety menu, lots of drinks and desserts. We found a cute spot to sit upstairs, and shared salad, bagel, chicken nuggets (soya) and sweet potato fries. A bit too oily for our taste, so it took a day to digest comfortably, but a special treat.

Pros: Vegan, friendly staff

Cons: Oily

Amazing food.

Entirely vegan menu, and I was lucky enough to come on a Sunday, so I could have vegan poutine! Excellent selection of food, cakes, desserts and drinks, lovely staff, great atmosphere. Would come back to Southampton just to eat here!

Deliciously vegan

This café serves delicious vegan waffles with fresh berries and ice cream.

This is the only vegan café in Southhampton, a perfect place to come to sit down with a coffee and a plate of sweet waffles. Located right next to a small park you can either stay in or order out for a sunny picnic in the park.

Scrumptious sandwiches and cakes

Great menu with loads of options. Had the tempeh, avocado and tomato sandwich and a Belgian bun, both of which were delicious. Great coffee. Friendly service. Laid back atmosphere. Good portion sizes at reasonable prices. Glad to see the cafe really is thriving!

amazing!

This place is absolutely amazing, I go whenever I'm in Southampton, along with a trip to rice up!
I've had the vegan fry up here twice and it's just so delicious and healthy! The milkshakes are fantastic too, the maple butter pecan flavour is too good! They have good cakes too, and if you're looking for a hot drink, they have lots of plant milks. My absolute favourite spot in Southampton. Oh the refined sugar free sundae is also tasty!

Pros: brilliant menu, tasty food

Very tasty, cheap and big portions

Not my favourite kind of food - it's rather a fast food restaurant than vegan cafe but sometimes I allow myself to eat food like this ;) Everything tastes great, especially tempeh which I usually don't like. Portions are big and cheap. For my sensitive stomach, this kind of food is too heavy but it's just my personal sensitivity. In general, this is a great place, especially to take your carnivore friends or family and show them how tasty and filling vegan food can be.

Brilliant all-vegan cafe

Only all-vegan cafe I know of in Southampton. Overwhelming selection of breakfasts, burgers, pizzas (weekend only), salads, sandwiches and desserts. Also serves great smoothies, juices and milkshakes. Couldn't fault the food, the staff or the atmosphere. Definitely a must-visit for any veg*n or veg-curious folks in Southampton.

Best Vegan cafe in town!

We've been to the cafe several times and food is just amazing. The New Yorker rouben sandwich is a must. They also have a great selection of desserts - donuts, ice cream, waffles, cupcakes, etc.

Pros: all vegan, plus gluten and soy free options

Cons: take away prices are cheaper than eating in.

Fab Lunch

I had a fab lunch with my friend who recommended we visit Cafe Thrive. I had a very creamy almond matcha latte to start and then went for the wholefood burger with chips. It was really tasty and filling. I then had a fragrant Kyoto cherry blossom green tea which transported me back to my time in Japan. I couldn't turn down a split cream doughnut so had one to takeaway to enjoy later.

exceeded our expectations

We just had a few hours in Southampton and hadn't heard of Thrive before, but the photos and reviews on HappyCow looked promising and we haven't been disappointed. Very delicious, it exceeded our expectations, I'd even say one of my favourite places in Europe. We didn't have the cheese platter but (saw at another table and) it looked amazing. We had the sandwiches, loaded fries and a donut. I can only recommend this place. We need to go back to Southampton.

Pros: delicious , nice atmosphere, good selection

absolutely delicious!

We went here when they had their winter menu and it was delicious! The Thrive Christmas sandwich was insane and I’d absolutely eat it again. The place has a great atmosphere and a really nice view outside. The menu is amazing and the desserts are also incredibly yummy. Definitely recommend this place, I was awesome.

Amazing find!

Found this place on Happy Cow on a trip to Southampton. Absolutely lovely and friendly staff. Close to the shops, easy to find. Bustling cafe with so many vegan options from hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream to burgers, pizzas (after 5pm), hot breakfast (before 12pm), sandwiches and salads. Not to mention the number of sweet treats including waffles and knickerbocker glory lookalikes!

Pros: Great variety, Extremely tasty, Good price

Best Place - Even Omni Kids Love It!

It's so nice to finally have a dedicated vegan cafe in Southampton. I've been here several times, and I've yet to be disappointed.

The food is divine. You can be as healthy or unhealthy as you like without breaking the bank. Lots of drinks options, a plethora of milk options for hot drinks...it's just incredible.

Recently I took my omni family here for lunch. Even my 12-y/o brother was pleased with the food! He polished off his main, a dessert AND chocolate milkshake, and said how much he enjoyed it. My mother also ate well and commented on how tasty everything was.

It's also nice that it's in the main shopping area, just down the road from Debenhams. It overlooks one of the town's many parks, has upstairs and outdoor seating, is open late on Friday and Saturday, AND there's a vegan supermarket not two doors away!

Bonus? They also do takeaway!

Pros: Amazing food, Affordable, Dog and child friendly

Cons: Not on high street, but in main shopping precinct, No room in stomach to buy everything!

Amazing burgers

Visited this cafe twice in one day, first time had the whole food burger and waffles for dessert (very big, should have shared with my husband instead of one each) then came back later and got the same burger for takeaway dinner (it was that good!)

Pros: reasonable prices, good portion sizes, next door to a health food shop

Cons: menu could be easier to read (bit crammed on so ea

OMG the best vegan cafe 💞

I can’t even express how much I love this place. I tried their ‘meaty’ burger and it was the most delicious burger I’ve had. Definitely my number one place. They offer different specials, for example I tried vegan kebab with cheese chips or steak and cheese baguette. They just get everything right. They have so many cake, doughnut and treats options. One of my faves is cream filled doughnut. I love this place 💞

Pros: delicious food, budget friendly
