All offerings come in a vegan option. Also has vegan banana bread and muffins as well as coffee. Open Mon-Fri 12:00pm-8:00pm, Sat-Sun 10:00am-8:00pm.

Tasty Vietnamese mushroom noodle bowl! - Edit
They have 2 fillings for vegetarians/vegans: musrooms or aubergine. You then choose from a noodle bowl, baguette, salad or casado (rice and lentils). I chose the mushroom noodle bowl and it was very filling and delicious. My partner had the mushroom baguette and also enjoyed it. The mushrooms could be a little bit less salty though.

So much flavor & everything was really fresh. Highly recommend the Vietnamese noodle bowl (Bun) with the eggplant. As well as the mushroom spring rolls. Friendly server too :)

Great restaurant in downtown San Jose - Edit
Been here before two years ago and loved it so decided it was time to return while in Costa Rica. It’s a nice place with inside and outside seating. They serve Vietnamese food which I love. I ordered a eggplant noodle bowl which came with lettuce,m and other veggies, mushroom spring rolls, and a mushroom banh mi which I wasn’t really a fan of. It had everything the bowl had in it but loaded with lettuce. When it comes to my banh mi, I like big French bread and I feel their bread could of been better.

Great vegan food in San Jose! - Edit
I went there two days in a row while in San Jose. Granted, there aren’t many vegan options at all in this city, but this place would stand out anywhere! Super fresh tasty food, vegan options available for every entree. Staff is super friendly and speaks English. Great coffee and pastries too! It’s also a calm, quaint oasis in the middle of a busy, rather unattractive downtown San Jose. I highly recommend this restaurant!

What a nice place - Edit
It was such a nice moment to bump into café Rojo. They serve delicious vegan food although they are not labelled as vegan, all of their offers come in vegan options. There is also a little art gallery and bookshop in this alternative welcoming building which has a nice shaded front patio outside to sit. Try their coffees and juices too. Delicious!
