Read moreWe ordered a few dishes to share, including a vibrant-looking dish with mixed vegetables and mushrooms, topped with a bright green pesto. It was full of flavor and the rice was cooked perfectly. We also had a plate from their amazing salad bar, which was a huge bonus. It had a bit of everything: freshly shredded carrots, a refreshing cucumber and tomato salad with what seemed like a mix of dill and other herbs, and a hearty potato salad. It was the perfect complement to the main dish.

Geen groot vegan aanbod. Het eten was ook erg zout. Wel veel verse groenten en nog met een goede bite, maar de granaatappelpitjes hadden hun beste tijd gehad.

The food fas good unfortunately it was not labeled well. There was only one vegan main and the salad / deserts / drinks were not labeled at all.
Read moreThe staff was very friendly but their english was very rudimentary so we weren't sure if they understood the difference between vegan and vegetarian so we went on the safe side and only took some of the salad from the buffet that was cleary vegan and the vegan main.

Best vegan buffet in Poland - Edit
I've visited Zloty Osiol multiple times while I was in Katowice as it quickly became my go-to place for a vegan buffet. Most of the mains are vegan, as well as almost all of the options in the salad bar. (I had to ask on my first day and once I found the English-speaking staff everything was clear.)
Read moreEverything is very tasty. I loved the pseudo-panzanella (bread with fresh tomatoes, cucumber and other vegetables), which I hope is made with stale bread from their bakery as we do according to the tradition of Tuscany.
I brought several groups of omnivores from all continents and they've all been very satisfied as well.
(Edit: My 5 stars were converted to 4 because this is marked as "veg options". I think it was fully vegetarian when I visited, but I guess it's not advertised as such.)

The restaurant is no longer vegetarian. I visited it after a long time, but it turns out they now serve parmesan with some of their dishes (parmesan contains beef rennet).

Pyszne jedzenie, bardzo duże porcje i miła obsługa. Stolików jest dużo, ale w godzinach obiadowego szczytu, jest ryzyko, ze trzeba bedzie poczekać, żeby usiąść. Niestety używają czosnku granulowanego, ale obsługa jest w stanie ustalić w czym dokładnie.

Very affordable, generous portions. The food is good. They had several vegan options. It’s cafetaria-style, very crowded at lunch time. You can choose rice or kasha with most dishes. Salad bar. Gluten free options available. I tried several dishes, the savoury, lentil/vegetable filled pancakes were yum! I also had a peanut vegetable curry and a tomato chickpea dahl. The cakes are nice also with a sweet Masala tea.

There is a lot of different dishes - all vegetarian, some are vegan which is clearly labeled.

The food is althought not top notch but it is quite tasty, cheap and satisfy you hunger.
The place is busty and crowded, there is some waiting in the queue but when you wait you have time to admire the beautiful and oriental interior of the place.

Many meals to choose from, also for vegans. I've had some kind of "asian noodles" bowl + salad plate, you can pick various salads, sometimes fruits like fresh melon or watermelon. I also recommend their home made lemonades. I paid approximately 25pln for all of that above, which I consider as a great price for vegetarian and vegan food.

Vegetarian and Vegan options are plenty, all the vegan options are whole food, very healthy, very tasty with the option of a delicious polish salad bar. The dishes start at around $4USD. This is my favorite place in Katowice and a restaurant where my teammates and I often visit in between trainings.
