The best place in town!

I couldn't wait any longer for Vümo to open doors and once I walked through them it completely exceeded my expectations. The restaurant is so charming and cozy, a beautiful space we don't find very often. Perfect light, great music, with a special touch of decoration in every single corner. The food is pure art and love. I've been there twice already and tried most of the options in the menu and absolutely all of them were an explosion of flavors and textures that I'm always chasing when I go out to eat. A true gastronomic experience. The smokehouse concept, not to say innovative, is magnificently executed in an artisanal and curated way. Everything is done from scratch, since the smoking to the cooking, with such dedication and knowladge that you can taste in every single bite.

Pros: Great portuguese and vegan wine. , Amazing craft beer and beverages

Classy decor and an eclectic menu

I'd been waiting for this place to open for a while as this husband and wife's previous restaurant was highly regarded in Porto city. It didn't disappoint. The menu is one of the most eclectic and creative I've ever seen in a vegan restaurant, spanning the whole globe in terms of influence and incorporating a wide range of ingredients and produce. There's an admirable lack of dependency on meat substitutes, making the most of natural veggies and grains. Saying that though the seitan Reuben sandwich I had was excellent, with flavoursome sauerkraut and tangy pickle. The soup too was hearty and warming on a rainy Porto afternoon. The decor is elegant without being alienating and a lot of thought has gone into adding greenery and ornaments. It's also nice to get a decent-sized serving of coffee in a big proper coffee cup! Staff are super-friendly, knowledgeable and clearly invested in what they're doing. A must-visit for vegan visitors to Porto.
