Delicious Lunch - Edit
Two of us had a weekday lunch. Service was prompt and polite. Food was delicious in texture and flavor. We would definitely dine there again. Ordered veggie tempura which was a generous portion. The Laub on their specialty menu was a delight! The Jungle Curry was tasty and they easily substituted extra veggies instead of baby corn. We were able to sit and catch up. Dishes were cleared as needed but we did not feel rushed either.

Solid. Vegan Thai - Edit
It has been a long time.simce I have had a mock duck with vegetables dish.
Read moreVeganic Thai makes a very tasty version. I requested medium.spicy, but I think they brought me a 5 on the Thai spicy scale which is far more spicy than the American scale.
Even though I was sweating from the heat, the dish was super flavorful. I would order a 3 on the spicy scale instead of a 5 next time.
The staff are friendly and attentive.

Vegan Thai Iced Tea- woohoo! Great service - Edit
I ordered a curry and was never asked how spicy I preferred the dish (I didn't remember to specify either). When it came out too spicy for me to eat, I was offered to have it taken off the check- without me even asking or complaining. THAT is excellent service and genuine caring, IMHO.

San Diego trip - Edit
We are in town on vacation and are trying many different vegan restaurants while here. Paring is plentiful, the restaurant is clean and the staff is very nice. The acoustics need work. There were 4 tables used and it was very loud.
Read moreThe food was not good!!! The spring rolls were flavorless and the sauce was sickeningly sweet. The Larb was inedible!! Good spice, but it was like bad jerky. The lettuce was cut into small strips and you could not use it as a wrap. The potato was hard and flavorless. My wife had the Pad Thai was oily, way over sauced and again sickeningly sweet.
Would not recommend to anyone. The website requires a two star, I would give it zero!
Pros: Good parking
Cons: Poor acoustics , Terrible food

Great food on a cool block - Edit
In our neverending efforts to try ALL the vegan food everywhere we go, we ordered two appetizers and two entrees. It was entirely too much food for us, but delicious.
Read moreI had yellow curry with vegetables, and it was a bit thinner than I anticipated, but flavorful and fresh (no soggy overcooked veggies).
Husband orderd Larb with vegan duck. It was crispy and spicy. He loved it, but while he can usually handle heat, this was a bit much for him. Luckily the dish is served with rice, cucumbers, potatoes, lettuce, and he ordered a Thai Iced Tea. That minimized the fire!
Pros: Good portions, variety, lovely staff
Cons: spice scale was skewed a bit spicier than expected

Great tasting Thai food! - Edit
Had the standard Thai dishes of pad thai, pad se ew (wide flat noodles) and spicy eggplant with rice. The flavors were exceptional - well balanced of spicy, sour and sweet and veggies were fresh and cooked to perfection. Portions were substantial. Highly recommended.

Simply amazing - Edit
This is the first legitimately amazing Vegan food restaurant to open in San Diego in a long time. All of their options are extemely flavorful and high quality. We've eaten here almost every day since we found out about it and keep getting surprised by their ability to create fabulous dishes. Their Drunken Noodles, Green Curry and Tempura are to die for. Do yourself a favor and try Veganic. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Now 100% Vegan! - Edit
The owner, Emmy, after being open only about a month, made the brave decision to ditch the eggs and dairy options from her menu! It was a risky economic call, since she's competing with a popular non-vegan Thai eatery just around the corner. But when my wife and I dined there last Friday, the place was packed by 8 pm, so she made the right call. The newly veganized menus will be ready soon and there has been some initial confusion and maybe language/accent challenges with new staff about menu ingredients, but Emmy assured me that everything is already free of animal products, making it San Diego's first vegan Thai eatery!
