Est. June 2024. Fully vegan restaurant serves traditional sushi using vegetables and other vegan ingredients unique to Japan. Pumpkin paste, Ikura (red caviar), scrambled eggs, avocado roll, tempura roll, eringi (king oyster) mushroom, meat, myoga (Japanese ginger), shiitake mushroom, kabayaki (tofu). Reservations required and may be done through the website. Note: the space is used for a bar in the evening so not all the alcohol displayed is vegan. Please check before going, as may take irregular holidays. Relocated from Dogenzaka 1-chome-17-2 2F, Shibuya. Open Mon-Sun 11:00am-2:30pm, 5:00pm-8:30pm. Closed Wed & Sun. Last order: 3:15pm (15:15).

All the sushi was so good, especially the kaba and the eggplant one. The Miso soup served with it is also very nice as is the yuzu soda and the different toppings for the sushi. The staff was also very helpful in explaining how the menu works as at first glance feels like a lot to take in. The desserts (dorayaki and ice cream) were also so amazing.

The best vegan sushi I've ever had. Very carefully selected and prepared ingredients, matcha, sake and dorayaki are very good too! The staff is super friendly and welcoming and carefully explained the whole menu to me. Great, one of a kind experience even for non vegan people.

It’s great that Tokyo has a fully vegan sushi place, but I found the food fairly average. I’ve had better sushi in other parts of the world. Still, it’s good to see fully vegan options available. That’s my honest take. Very good service.

Read moreWe went for the set menu with dessert and the non alcohol drink (at least two of us :P) the desserts were also really amazing! Vegan matcha donut with vegan icecream😋. The icecream was nice and cold and the donut was still a bit of warm!

Fixed menu with one of each sushi and then you can order ‘refills’ of specific ones as you please. Love a place that has confidence in what it does - pick something simple and do it well. The food, sake and beer were all delicious. Service was warm and friendly and the place was full on a Sunday evening. Well priced for the care that goes into what they produce.

Read moreReading all these nice comments, I was disappointed after my experience, and still don't get how people can be so enthusiastic.
The orders work by fixed menus, not leaving the customer the freedom to decide. The story told at the table is pretty much a tape rolled to every customer, which I found very poor in terms of experience.
At the end, you leave with an almost empty stomach. Unless you pay for a refill piece by piece.
Feel free to go without reservation: the restaurant was almost empty, in my case.

Many of the sushi were very veg forward but the dips and sauces added to the experience. Enjoyed the yuzu pepper and green onion salt. My favorite sushis were the tuna and vegan egg. The dorayaki with ice cream was lovely if you enjoy red bean!

I hate leaving less than 5 stars for an all vegan restaurant especially when the workers are so kind. Unfortunately I have to agree with some of the other reviews. A lot of the sushi is not very innovative. I’ve had a lot better for a lot less. You have to order the set menu, and about 3 of the pieces are fun and different and the rest unfortunately, boring. Most the sushi is just avo on rice, a mushroom on rice, etc.

We appreciate vegan restaurants run by vegans and this is one of them! The staff were vegan and gave us a card with info on vegan restaurants in Japan which was super helpful. And we loved trying the sushi set with all the different types of sushi. Vegan sushi isn’t easy to find in Japan so really appreciated this place. It’s pricey for the set and not a ton of food but if you want to order more of a certain type, it’s about 300 yen.

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I was pretty upset after leaving this place. Definitely felt like I got ripped off big time. The sushi was WAY overpriced for the portion. It was 5k yen for 10 pieces of sushi. 10 pieces might sound like a good amount, but even the sushi didn't have much in it. I was barely half full after that. The miso soup it came with tasted like instant miso soup. I had way better vegan sushi when I was in Hokkaido for 1/5 the price. If you'd like to try it for the novelty, it might be worth it for you, but I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
Read moreYou also know it's a tourist trap when the only Japanese people in the restaurant are the ones serving you lol. I'm not even kidding. The restaurant was full but it was all tourists. I'm guessing the place was somewhat new as there wasn't even a sign outside, just a vinyl banner.
