I love a good vegan burger however this is not worth the visit. The fries didn't look and taste homemade. The truffle sauce had a strong beetroot taste, I would have expected a more intense truffle taste.

Read moreWell, after my vegan travelling companion and I had our freshly roasted fix from a nearby coffeeshop we decided we needed to find some Vegan Junk Food and a Beer. We walked a few blocks, turned a corner and There! up yonder, we both laid our ollieballen eyes on the bright light pastel sign: VEGAN JUNK FOOD BAR!! We have arrived!
The outdoor patio in the colorful Marie Heineken Square, near the fountain, was of course, calling our names. Our friendly server was back with our beers in no time and back with our food shortly after that. We tried the Pnut Thai Chik'n Betterballs (Better than Bitterballen!) They were nicely crispy outside with tasty, gooey inside that complemented the beers perfectly. We shared the VJFB™ Heppi Ribs on a pink/black bun with red, spring and crispy onions mix and lettuce, pickles, sweet VJFBBQ sauce and Hot Spicy Chick Sauce (because we're the Hot Sauce Committee) and a side Ceasar Classic salad (to keep it healthy). Definitively satisfied the Munchies!
All in all, Tasty fun food, cool colorful vibes, and a positive experience had by all!

Best loaded fries, I have ever had. And the Tropical mouse was also really delicious. The concept and atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice. You can find pink everywhere, also in the food.

I visited VJFB in Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Roterdam and Barcelona, and it's always worth a visit. It is also perfect for munchies 🙂
Read moreI don't know why, but this one is pricier than the VJFB near Vondelpark, but that one doesn't have outside seating.
I recommend to try wingz and shrimpz, or you can take a sumo platter and try that and other finger foods.
If there's an option to try 3 different burgers, I'd recommend to skip that unless you'd really like to, because they are very small, and to me it's better to just take a normal size burger

Honestly, what more can I say about Vegan Junk Food Bar that isn't in the restaurant's name? It's vegan junk food. It's delicious. If that's what you want, it's truly hard to beat it. This location's outdoor seating is nice and a little bit away from the most intense tourist areas.

I really enjoyed my experience today at vegan junk food bar. The fish sandwich was pretty good, with the burger was wonderful! the bitter Ballin was okay, but the calamari was banging. I would recommend this place. They have Wi-Fi. They also have bathrooms. They offered tapwater and don’t try to charge you for bottled.

Burgers and loaded smiley faces were so lush even my non-vegan partner said it was his favourite meal we'd had in Amsterdam. Cocktails were lush too, I had one of the coconut ones and even got a spoon to eat the coconut flesh with!

We ordered the appetizer platter - with shrimp and calamari that had amazing flavor and texture! The cod sandwich was mouthwateringly good. The shawarma sandwich tasted like real meat and was enormous. Don’t miss! It was a real treat!

The burgers were great, but the Betterballs were a showstopper. Would go back just to have them.
We also got a dessert in a jar, which was ok
