The vegan junk food bar is a great place if you enjoy junk food. I generally don't like junk food as much but I wanted to try it anyway. I went there with a few non vegan friends and everyone liked the food. I ordered the vegan shrimps and they tasted very authentic and were delicious. After that I had the VJFB Beastie with a side of sweet potato fries and the "blue daddy sauce". I also had the "tipsy Unicorn" as a drink. All in all was it a good experience. The restaurant also has a gender neutral toilet besides a toilet for women.

Food was okay although since we heard about this place a lot and so many good reviews are out there we expected that it will be much better. We took daddy burger and rainbow loaded fries. Burger seemed too basic and loaded fries had very little sauce, would be better with more of it.

After telling the waiter that we needed some more time to order drinks, it took a while before the waiter came back.
When ordering our food, the waiter did not properly write down all the items we order, so one item did not show up (which we did not mind, as we probably had overorder anyways, so would not have been able to finish that dish anyways), a friend of mine got the wrong beer (which he did not mind), and I received the wrong sauce (which after telling them, they quickly gave me the sauce I ordered, and we got the keep the sauce we did not order for free)

Conclusion
Would recommend going there at least once to try out his unique dining experience
We paid 54.50 for 2 beers, 2 mains, one side dish and one sauce

If you are looking for some good vegan junk food, this is the place to go. I even went with a meat eater (my brother), and he was pleasantly surprised with everything! The burgers and the sides are very tasty. I also love the different colors :)

The food was amazing, at first the colors scared me, but when i tried it, it didn’t matter. the coffee was great, the locally brewed bear was awesome, i can’t recommend enough!! We had the mac n cheese betterballen (would eat a 100 of those, so good) the fake chicken burger and loaded fries with fake chicken.

Had the Beastie burger and wife & daughter had the fizz burger all with fries. Coupled with unicorn wheat beers. Definately the best food we've had in Amsterdam. Pretty reasonably priced compaired to similar places. I'd go again, but have to go home!
