Blown Away!!!!! - Edit
Let’s me start off by saying this place is absolutely amazing! I happened to read an article on Vegoutmag.com about this place, and let me tell you it did not disappoint. The food was delightfully tasteful and the presentation was magnificent. My family and I absolutely loved the food so much that we had to order some to go. The owner of the restaurant was extremely friendly, courteous, attentive and humble. I would highly recommend this place to all of my friends and family members!

Beautiful tasty food - Edit
Long Beach finally has an all vegan sushi place. Yes! This is not close to where we live but the drive was worth it.
Read moreThe presentation of the food(plating) is top notch. The sushi rolls and tacos are tasty. We really love it. Hubby said 'usually when the food comes out we would say sushi is here. But with this one we say WOW, so beautiful, cannot wait to try it.' I had to hurry taking pictures because we were salivating over Shrimp Tempura Toll, Rainbow Roll, Dragon Roll, and Crispy FISHLESS taco.
There is ample parking in the street. It is unlike downtown Long Beach where we go round and round looking for a parking spot. Street parking is free
The service was warm and attentive. We will be back.
Pros: Tasty, Beautiful , Great service
Cons: Far from home, Street parking

Incredible food! - Edit
I was not expecting vegan sushi to be so delicious. Vegan castle creations are very creative and the dishes are really well presented.

For the alcohol free minded: as of today, rice is made with vinegar not sake or any other alcohol.

Substantial - Edit
We saw this listing on happycow and gave it a try (take-out) a few weeks ago. Here's my Vegan Castle review. We ordered 3 different rolls to go. One wrapped in rice paper and was slightly spicy while two others were more traditional style with nori wrap and avocado, etc. All 3 kinds tasted good and were filled substantially. Would definitely return again when in the area.

Sushi Artistry - Edit
The owner is a true food artiste - flavor-wise & presentation!!
Read moreThey looked so good we didn't want to eat them but we did! We ordered rainbow, ocean, avocado and dragon rolls. They were as good as they looked.
As of July 3rd there was no sign on the building. It is a blue building and located directly on the corner of W. Burnett St.
We gave them a HappyCow 'excellent review' window decal as we work for HappyCow.
Dine-in, take-out & delivery through GrubHub. No outdoor seating.
Pros: Presentation, taste, friendly owner

Vegan Castle deserving of the 👑 - Edit
Vegan Castle slaps! Best vegan sushi in Long Beach… Honestly, this place came out of nowhere but I’m so glad it’s here!
Read moreNow, for the food, where to begin. We were conservative and only ordered half the menu (regrets, we were stuffed but we should’ve ordered more). The apps (shrimp hand roll and crispy tuna) were light and delicious, seriously one of the better crispy tunas I’ve had. The fish tacos? I’ve never had a fish taco before but I can’t imagine something better than this: perfectly fried tofu with a soft yet crispy shell and peak saucy.
The rolls (ocean roll, rainbow roll, Santa Fe roll, and avocado roll) we ordered were varied in flavor and texture. The best way to describe the quality of the rolls is that they did all of the work by themselves; soy sauce, wasabi, etc. were a nice addition, but not necessary at all. With avocado rolls being the grilled portobello mushroom burgers of non-vegan sushi restaurants, I’m always a little reluctant to order an avocado roll at a vegan sushi spot where the whole menu is my oyster. Don’t trip. Easily the best avocado roll I’ve had at a vegan restaurant or otherwise. Perfect portion of avocado with a light seaweed and sesame dusting that accentuated the creaminess of the filling. Umm, yum.
I could go on…
The folks running the show at Vegan Castle were awesome and friendly, and clearly on top of their game when it comes to the craft of vegan sushi magic.
I’m moving out of Long Beach in a few days and I was sad before going here but now I’m just that much more bummed to not be close by to this gem. Honestly, though, I’ll probably just keep coming back on the regular even if it is gonna be an hour out of my way. Totally worth it.
Will be back soon!
Pros: All VEGAN, Quality staple dishes, and fun, creative rolls!, Great service, no frills, just solid dining
