Vegan Sushi - Edit
Sushi is my favorite food, and I have had my fair share of vegan sushi. Vegan Castle instantly became one of my favorites. The rolls (we tried four and a hand roll) were delicious. The veggies are fresh, and each roll is creative. The servings were huge and beyond generous for the price. The staff was friendly, but the wait was pretty long for pick up despite appearing pretty empty. I would say it’s worth the wait, but something to keep in mind. #Veganuary

5 Stars Vegan Sushi! - Edit
I've had vegan sushi in multiple cities now and I can safely say that Vegan Castle is simply the best of the best.
Read moreDon't let the casual setting fool you. Their sushi rolls here stack up to the competition and I am so jealous of folks that live around here and can get this more often than me.
We ordered three rolls: Shrimp Tempura, Long Beach, and the Red Dragon Roll. Each order hovered from $12 - $15 and came with 6 - 10 pieces each. For it to all be vegan, those are extremely good prices for delicious food. Skip the avo & cucumber rolls - you have something better!
The Red Dragon and Long Beach rolls were my favorite. Each using plant-based proteins for the seafood and combining it with sauces that really take the rolls to a new level. They also prioritize the aesthetics game so it feels like you're paying for $20 sushi rolls in DTLA.
Service here was super friendly and chill. They recommended how many rolls we should get for our party and payment at the cashier after made it easy. It looks to be a small business so get out here and support.
To be honest, I wish it was AYCE just so I could have more of their amazing sushi. But I'll be back nonetheless one day!
Pros: Best vegan sushi I've had so far

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G vegan sushi 💚 - Edit
The place is very basic but nice and clean, and the food, OH! The food!
Read moreThe rolls are massive, full of flavor and very 'authentic'. We had 3 different rolls and a fish taco, and everything was fantastic, even the fruit roll that my bf choose (the Sherry roll, didn't sound that good at first but it tasted actually amazing too!)
Personal favs:
1. Santa Fe roll - best roll ever
2. Red Dragon roll - so good
3. Sherry roll - slightly sweet and more exotic, but still very good
4. Spicy fish taco - also good, but not as good as the sushi imho
Also a special shout out to the staff there, both the waiter and the chef were super lovely ✨🫶

Vegan sushi heaven - Edit
My first time eating at an all vegan sushi place! Everything we got was fresh and tasty. Deep fried rolls were fried to perfection, tho the Santa Fe roll was a little too spicy for my taste (try it anyway!). Liked the LBC roll the best. Thanks, Vegan Castle!

I absolutely loved this place! The sushi was amazing and the first vegan sushi I’ve had (other than plain avocado rolls)! The presentation was exceptional and the flavour was unreal! Would recommend to any vegan in the area or even others interested in trying alternatives😄

1st time tried vegan sushi for dinner by myself. Pretty good. Perhaps little too much of one note. Suggest, offer a combo sushi for people who come alone.

Vegan castle is an experience to have over and over again. KEEP COMING BACK UNTIL YOU TRY IT ALL. All the items on the menu are DELICIOUS 🤤 & SCRUMPTIOUS. What makes the dining experience here even more wholesome is the very soft-spoken, sweet, kind generous, passionate, and humble owner, Tony. He is a sweetheart and does everything to ensure his patrons have a good experience. He is new and starting with humble beginnings, he makes up for all that with the purity of service and the love of his craft. Do go! You won’t regret it!

The best vegan sushi - Edit
I was never, ever a fan of eating fish and would never, ever try sushi (pre vegan). I must say that this place makes really delicious food. The fish tacos are yummy and the Long Beach Roll is my favorite. We eat there at least 3x per month!

Solid vegan soosh - Edit
Had two shrimp tacos and two rolls, the Long Beach and Ocean. Tacos were a lil messy to handle/eat but we’re delicious and fresh. Everything was flavorful and didn’t taste exactly the same, which happens a lot with sushi. Big ups! Will def be going back to try other fun rolls and options in the menu

Everything was delicious. My husband is not a vegan, and he was taken aback at how everything we ordered tasted so darn good. I’ll be back, but for an occasion so I don’t feel guilty for spending mula.

This was so delicious and beautiful, I feel like I should’ve been eating at a high end restaurant. Very surprised to see the location was bare-bones - not even a sign out front. But the food! We just kept ordering more and more rolls. Fish tacos were also great! Long Beach and Dragon rolls were probably our favorites.

It’s worth the wait - Edit
Yes you might have to wait a little while. And the interior may be a little rough around the edges. But the food is so worth it. I don’t care what it looks like as long as the restaurant is clean and the food tastes wonderful. I am rooting for these guys to succeed. All of the rolls that I had have been delicious. I appreciate good quality all vegan food that’s fresh and delicious.

Delicious & Creative Sushi but Needs More Staff - Edit
Unexpectedly high quality food for such a hole in the wall type of place! Both times I've gone in there were no customers or staff, just the lone sushi chef working his [censored] off to the sound of loud punk music. It was pretty hot inside and not a very inviting atmosphere but I was getting it to go, so that didn't matter.
Read moreI'm not totally sure but I think the menu may change slightly day to day. I took a photo of the menu on the first day I stopped in. The second time I ordered from the online menu and my hubby ran in to pick up the food so I didn't see the paper menu. So far I've stuck to the more traditional rolls without spiciness or fruitiness and really loved everything. Even the plain avocado hand roll was shockingly delicious! The shrimp tempura roll was real standout, too.
Last week I was really craving their sushi so we put in an order, but after paying we were informed that it would be an hour and 15 mins until it was ready for pick up and WE WERE NOT PREPARED! It wasn't even a weekend or even dinner time. Regretfully I cancelled the order and made something boring here because that is just too long for take out food.
