Bring Your Friends! - Edit
We have been coming to this family and female owned restaurant for many, many months now. They have great choices, especially for former, or soon to be former, meat eaters.
Read moreGenerous portions always cooked exactly to order.
You *must* order the drunken nachos. Their pinto beans are the best we have ever had. Wish we could cook them as well as they, at our own home!
The horchata is excellent, and The Wife enjoys their margaritas.
Small carpark, but we have never had problems with street parking.
Got a chance to meet her lovely family today 27/12/25!

Plan On the Tita! - Edit
A very cool and trendy gem in the city of Long Beach.
Read moreLocated off Willow Street & Hayes Avenue, this spacious but quaint spot has booths and tables w/ chairs for your dine-in needs and offers prompt takeout, as we saw several orders prepared and picked up for enjoyment.
I'd heard of Plantita, but hadn't really been exploring Long Beach until recently and mainly with my boyfriend who's always down for a plant-based excursion.
The menu has a variety, but not an overwhelming amount and the ambiance matches the decor. It's vegan millennial core for sure!
We had the asada burrito and flauta plate. I order the enmolada plate, but there was a little confusion. The flautas were the best mistake ever! So flavor and yummy and baes burrito was a massive favorite both in size and enjoyment.
We definitely noted a few things for our next trip.
Parking is super limited, but there's street parking in the area (mainly residential along Hayes and neighboring blocks).
Plantita has great decor, not too overwhelming. A great staff and they also have a variety of beverage including wine!! And the VeganWineLush (Quintin aka me) loves their wine lol
We had an event right after so didn't want to be too full from all the great eats/comidas, but might just go for it all next time.
Pros: Queer Friendly - note the pride flag, Serve Wine, Latinx + Women Owned

Home Cooked Meal but make it Vegan 💚 - Edit
The venue is cute, the decorations are authentic, you feel like you step into a warm family’s home. It’s a family owned restaurant and you are greeted with a warm staff, all happy to help and guide you through the experience.
Read moreIn my foodie adventure chronicles, my friend brought me here for dinner and we enjoyed a hearty and delicious dinner, everything was cooked with love and the seasonings were amazing. We had the tacos with rice and beans and the flautas. We wrapped up our dinner with the delicious churros with ice cream dessert. It was such a good experience and the food was AMAZING. Will come again to try the rest of the menu when possible.
Pros: Delicious - every bite was heavenly., Portions - were balanced and filling., Authenticity - the seasonings and the cooking

Phenomenal authentic tacos! - Edit
Plantita is the cutest little space in Long Beach run by the sweetest Latino family who make everything fresh daily.
Read moreWe had the BEST vegan tacos and fresh homemade tortilla chips (seasoned to perfection) with guac. The asada and the Al pastor tacos were juicy and so flavorful, and you can really taste the difference in the homemade tortillas. Even my meat-eating friend said they were the best tacos he’s ever had!
Will definitely be back to try the elote costillas and the horchata.
Pros: Friendly staff, Fresh and full of flavor, Large portions

We were here early evening and locals came in to enjoy the food. The tacos we had with their sauces and choice of vegan Baja shrimp, asada, Al pastor, mushroom ajilla were terrific. We’ll be back. #Veganuary

Fantastic Carne Asada - Edit
Parking is limited, but we arrived a little early for dinner and were the only ones in the restaurant (to start).
Read moreWe had the aguachile, the taco plate with asada and al pastor, and the enmoladas. Everything was excellent, but the asada was especially impressive.
The tacos were flavorful but didn't feel heavy or greasy like some street tacos tend to be. The enmoladas were something new and you can add a protein in request, but we had them as-is and they were great - crisp tortillas with a creamy potato stuffing and a delicious mole sauce.
Would definitely go again!
Pros: Asada, Enmoladas
Cons: Small parking lot

Very good - Edit
The food feels artisanal in its presentation and delivers very well in taste. It's slightly bougie when it comes to authenticity but makes up for being flavorful. If dining in or doing takeout be prepared to wait a little while for the entrees since they are individually handcrafted. Also be prepared to spend a little money.

Awesome - Edit
I am so glad my husband and I found this all vegan Mexican restaurant. The owner is so nice. The food is fantastic. The drunken nachos are soooooooo delicious. They are made with their house made chips and their delicious drunken pinto beans. Eating the drunken nachos is vegan heaven. Their burritos are all so good. I am making my way thru the menu. I love eating here.

Omg Not worth it - Edit
I am just gonna throw this out there. How is this authentic Mexican food? Gentrified, overpriced, over sauced, under seasoned, greasy, and just all around unauthentic. Like who in the hell puts mayo on a taco. This unflavored mushy rice, who puts soyrizo in their beans. I laughed so hard after eating, I’m not gonna lie, creative in a way but the descriptions look better than the food. If that makes sense, I also cut my gums on the sharp ass chips.

I had the taco plate with Al pastor and carne asada, OMGeeeeeeee so delicious. The beans and rice were on point. So filling, I’ll have to come back just to try the churros. Also their chips are house made and AMAZING! Since another vegan spot closed that I loved, so happy I tried this place, will definitely be back.

Amazing - Edit
Eileen the owner hosted our large party of 16! She is awesome and accommodating. Unfortunately she had a call out so service was slow. However, she did awesome despite being short staffed. The food is amazing! I had the eggs Benedict, it came on sopes! The corn ribs were awesome, the sauce was heavenly. Everything is so delicious. I was the only vegan in the party and everyone really enjoyed their dishes!

Exciting and Unique! A must-try! - Edit
Do yourself a favor and make time to try this place! In the ever-shrinking world of vegan restaurants, PlanTita deserves to be recognized for the jewel it is. Far from another plant-based fast casual Mexican restaurant (not that there’s anything wrong with those), this is a true chef-driven menu. Imaginative creations (like Elote Fried “Ribs”) will blow your mind with textures and flavors that defy expectations.
Read moreDo you ever find yourself missing the genuine mole flavor of your meat-eating days? Order the Enmolada Plate in red mole sauce stuffed with potatoes and cheese and relive the glory. Just make sure you try it. I promise you’ve never had anything like it.

Good vegan Mexican food - Edit
The food tasted fresh and was extremely flavorful. Everything has a bit of a kick except the beans and rice. Was soooo happy with the beans. Anytime I order beans and rice it is always meh but these were really good. The elote ribs were very tasty, chips were freshly made with a small kick, taco plate we split and was so good. Husband loved the loaded fries. The guac was good, not blow your mind guac but good reliable guac. Margaritas were well made and a pleasant surprise! Didn't taste like the mix and was really nice.

The food is all vegan and excellent. Woman-owned, too. A lovely little spot for date, too. Spouse and enjoy coming here for dinner and wine. The taco plate is fantastic and I’ve yet to have a dish here that wasn’t very delicious. I highly recommend the drunken beans. So good!

Food was very good. The portion sizes were very filling, we came home satisfied from our dinner. Friendly staff and no complaints on the ambiance.

The ENMOLADA (3) PLATE was quite very interesting, it had chocolate sauce which was not sweet but a bit spicy.
