Delicious food and great variety.

Very friendly staff, food is amazing. Having read previous reviews saying the prices are expensive, has got me a little confused as they're really reasonable. As the highest price for a main is €11.50, and the mains are a great portion size too. All together we had two mains, two desserts, two beers, two lots of bread, a soft drink and a tea. Which came to around €45 with tax, which is an average price for a table of two.
Korma curry was fantastic, whilst my boyfriend had the chilli con carne. Desserts were delicious. The place itself was cosy with lots of tile decorations everywhere, someone even brought their pet pig with them. So definitely animal friendly too.
Reserving a table can be a must, as I think we got lucky. Over all, can wait to go again in a few days time whilst visiting Madrid.

Pros: Tasty food, Lots of food and drink options, Friendly staff

Cons: No air con, but they do have fans, so it can be qu

Intimate, super friendly and delicious.

I'd recommend booking in advance as they only managed to squeeze us in. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful and out to please. The food was incredible and lots of choice. A bit pricey, but worth it overall.

Cozy place. Awesome food.

The place to go if you are vegan and don't wanna miss out on tapas. The food was delicious no doubt, maybe it is a little overpriced but we left fully satisfied.

Great tapas

Vegan tapas are delicious at Vega. The mushroom croquettes and the peppers with cherries were my favorite, but everything on the menu that I tried was very tasty so it would be hard to go wrong. Just make sure to reserve since they are booked almost every single night.

Different experience - I like it

When I visited during lunch hours last year, it was super busy and I got seated in-between 2 strangers, which I really like the idea of. Unfortunately I was coming down with something, and it was really hard for me to eat and talk. I really like that it's possible to meet others when dining though - very un-scandinavian.

Would love to come back here, and try it again.

Moda vegana

Cons: Raciones escasas

Underwhelming Food and Service

We booked a table, which I would strongly recommend - most tables were already reserved. The service was not great. We waited 15 minutes and nobody came to take our drinks order - I had to go up to the bar. Then we had a 30 minute wait for the food. The food was ok, but not spectacular. The BBQ seitan was cut into small slivers, which was a bit disappointing, and the sauce was a little too sweet. The tofu brochette was better, really flavoursome. Generally, it was ok.

bonitos muebles, experiencia agridulce

Me encantaron.

Classy but humble vegan food

The food here is great and towards the more 'fine' end of the dining spectrum, without being pretentious. Probably the best quality vegan food in Madrid.

Booking in advance is definitely wise, because this place is very popular - understandably so!

Pros: Great food, Cool decor, Attentive staff

Cons: Gets very busy

Amazing Food!

We ended up visiting Vega several times on our trip to Madrid, not only because it was one of the few vegan places still open in August, but because the food was DELICIOUS! We tried several things from the menu and every single one surpassed our expectations. Would definitely visit again!

Vega = Vegan heaven

We had just a few days in Madrid, but visited Vega 3 times. The atmosphere is welcoming and bohemian. The food is fresh, inventive & heavenly. The service is friendly. There is no English menu, but the staff speak some English. With all the food being vegan and so good, you don't need to understand it!

It is open every day and almost always busy. We first came on a Sunday evening for dinner and they were full, but the waitress managed to squeeze us in.

We had lunch, dinner and drinks with tapas on our three visits. We would highly recommend!

Pros: Great service, organic beer, bohemian atmosphere,

Cons: The walls are stone, which some people may prefer

great place

This place was very busy with locals when we arrived. The staff was responsive and accomodating, very friendly. This was our first meal in Spain. My boyfriend ordered two rounds of the mushroom croquettes? I think they were. It seemed like such a friendly neighborhood spot and we had such a nice meal. It was a little expensive but worth it to get a nice restaurant (instead of take-away) meal.

Best food in the world

The review title might seem like a slight exaggeration, but please go to this place and judge for yourself. The food is absolutely delicious and definitely among the best I have ever had. Beautifully presented, tasty, and very friendly staff. I want to move to Madrid so I can go here every day...
