Craving waffles - Edit
My friends and I really wanted to spot off and get some sweets and this was the perfect spot. They were able to make waffles vegan and/or gluten free either savoury or sweet. My friend and I split the cinnamon roll one and it was amazing. The women serving us was the nicest person and probably the best service we have had our whole time in Mexico

I had a vegan yoghurt fruit & granola bowl & matcha latte with coconut milk for 145 pesos for my breakfast there today.The staff are lovely. It's a cute place great location.A simple menu written in spanish & english.Good value.I would go again.

Best Food and Service - Edit
I was in Puerto Escondido with my parents for a few days. We’re all vegan/vegetarian. We found the waffle spot to be such a gem of a restaurant. My absolute favorite way everything lol the pesto vegan waffle was delicious and definitely than any waffle I’ve ever had. The fresh juices and hot matcha tea have me reminiscing about dining there. The manager was very sweet and knowledgeable about the area. When I return to Puerto Escondido, The Waffle Spot will be my first dining option. 😊 I highly recommend it to anyone and of course the vegans too.

There are so many easy vegan waffle batter recipes available these days. Was really disappointed with the vegan waffle, which was dry and dense. I recommend the team look at alternative vegan batter recipes.

Decent breakfast option - Edit
I came here for a late breakfast. There aren’t many vegan breakfast cafés in Puerto Escondido, so I’m happy I found this place. It’s a small restaurant with only a few tables. The waffle was pretty good. I think the vegan waffle is also gluten free, so it’s not the typical fluffy waffle that non-GF vegans might be used to. It was still good, even if a bit thinner and denser than expected. Fair price, good location, quick service.
