We stumbled on this place by accident. The food was about the best we’ve ever had. We highly recommend the mushroom satay and mac’n cheese. The flavours are out of this world!!!

Good but busy

This place was so busy the only time we could come was 9pm. Do advise you book online or call first to avoid disappointment. Nice vibes and good food, on the pricey side

Pros: Good selection, Cool interior

Cons: Does get busy so best to book, Staff can be too busy to serve when you’re ready, Expensive

Open whenever they want

This place annoys me. The food is good, BUT the hours are really unpredictable. I've made treks here 3 times on different days and each timeots been advertised as open itsbeen closed. Definately give them a call FIRST before coming here otherwise you will feel frustrated as f!

Cons: The hours are really unpredictable

We had the sharing platter and it was huge😄delicious mix of asian food, flavours of tempeh, coconut and tofu. Highly recommended & but ask for spicyness level

Fantastic Decor, Fantastic Food

Great atmosphere and staff were super friendly.

Had a good variety of food, had the 'buttermilk' cheeken which was made oyster mushrooms, husband has the pink burger and I had the TLTA. All was very yummy and full of flavour. There was alot of food and I couldn't finish mine so had it boxed/bagged to take away. They wrote a message on the bag, little touches makes a difference.

It is pricier than alot of other places in the area for vegetarian/vegan food however still great value!

Great place for a celebration

This is our treat place in KL. The decor and service is great and food, very tasty. So far we’ve had a brunch and an afternoon 3 course meal. Portions were large so quite a lot came back with us. Although pricier than some of the other restaurants, it’s still cheaper and excellent value compared to its UK equivalents. We highly recommend. Their carrot alternative to smoked salmon is divine.

Nice atmosphere and great food

We had only 2 mains to go, but the place was crowded, atmosphere was great and the decoration lovely. Food was delicious even though bit pricey. But definetely worth a visit, in peak hours preferably with a reservation.

Shame that it’s not all vegan

It looks tiny from the outside but the inside is quite spacious and looks really cool. I had a smoothie and a sandwich and both were delicious. The only disappointing thing is that I was expecting an all vegan place and then it turned out to be just vegetarian.

Pros: Cosy atmosphere , Amazing smoothies

Really good service!

Also great food and options. Love the ambience. Only 4 stars because the price is incredible. Make it cheaper and I‘ll come everyday ;-). Keep it up!

Best vegan food in KL

Das mit Abstand beste Restaurant, was wir in Kuala Lumpur bei unserem 3-wöchigen Aufenthalt gefunden haben.
Es ist im 2. Stock. Augen auf! Es ist nicht leicht zu finden

Pros: 100% vegan, Extrem delicious , Nice guys

Cons: Nothing , Nothing , Nothing

Good food but a little expensive

The food was very good but expensive for what you get. The venue is cool and it would be good for a special occasion. Staff were also a little slow to get back to you but were friendly.

Pros: Lots of vegan and veggie options , Very tasty , Cool venue

Cons: A more expensive option , Staff slow

Charming space, good food

A perfect place for dinner with some nice wine. Though some items on the menu are too oily.

Not so good

The food is medium level, nothing to die for. The place has a great ambience and design, best for an afternoon break.
The service was quite inconsistent, they sent us to the counter even tho several tables were available and remained so for the time of our visit.
Maybe it was a bad day, I do not want to descredit the everyday work and effort of the staff.

Best food experience in Malaysia!

With a group of 11 tourists, mainly omnivores / non vegans, 10/11 of our group agreed it was our best meal out in Malaysia! Lovely cocktails and even more incredible food, both local dishes and western foods.

Pros: INCREDIBLE food for vegans and carnivores, Veganised traditional and western dishes, Best food experience in Malaysia!

Cons: Slow service

All vegan menu

Had the soul platter which was an absolute banger - the mac and cheese was delicious. My only complaint was the fried chicken being too much batter and overfried. The Oreo shake was nice too and they make a great cocktail. The menu is all vegan (extra for dairy). The place is on the pricey side for malaysia but not unreasonable given its a nicer dining experience

Super cool!

Popped in after hours so only the late night app menu was available, which was actually perfect since I already had dinner. I tried the mushroom satay and the watermelon-Rita mocktail. Both delicious! I love that even though this place isn’t fully vegan, the menu is vegan by default and it costs extra to add on egg or dairy products. The atmosphere is super cool and the rest of the menu looks fantastic. I hope to make it back while I’m here in KL!

Delicious and extremely friendly

Such a cool place, cute drinks, so accommodating to kids as well, very adaptable towards dietary needs and so kind, oh my how I love this place! Most is vegan except some cakes they charge extra for mammaljuice to discourage consumption.

Pros: Lots of vegan foods, Super kind staff

Cons: Quite high prices for KL but worth it!

Gross food, great staff and atmosphere

Hungry Tapir is a western Malay fusion restaurant near Petaling Street with a tiny entrance to the second floor. There you’ll be greeted by a supportive staff and a great date night aesthetic. That’s where the fun stops.

The lychee kombucha and arincini were actually a wonderful start to the meal. I felt refreshed and excited for the entire and dessert.

However, the banh mi was an unpleasant surprise—more mustard-like European-style coleslaw than a spicy Vietnamese tofu patty. I tried to like it but could not eat more and asked for a substitute. The server kindly accommodated the request with the “chicken burger”. Sadly, my stomach was upset from the last meal and I could not enjoy the over fried burger. I hoped I’d at least enjoy the red velvet cake, but NO. It was so stale it was crispy!!! Gross.

In summary, a Lovely aesthetics and service, but mostly terrible food experience. Not recommended.
