All vegan restaurant in a great location

We came here once for breakfast/lunch and ordered some food as well. We were quite happy to find this all vegan restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, where it can be a bit challenging to find vegan options. The menu is extensive and the interior of the restaurant quite nice. Also, staff is very friendly. We liked the food, however, in our opinion it tasted a bit too unhealthy.

Pros: All vegan , Friendly staff

Fully vegan bar & restaurant in Chinatown

Super nice bar and restaurant that's a little bit hidden away just off Petaling Street. The menu was 100% vegan when we went.

We had 3 small dishes (which were absolutely huge portions, easily 2x what we expected so probably worth the cost) and 2 mocktails.

Locale molto curato cibo top

Abbiamo preso funghi impanati, panini, pizza e torte.
Funghi buonissimi come il panino.
Pizza da italiani potevamo evitarcela.
Torte la velvet cake era buonissima
Si trova nella via della street art di chinatown
Da fuori non è invitante ma dentro è bellissimo e pulito

Fantastic

We visited this spot twice and really enjoyed ourselves.

We tried two of the sharing plates. The fried cheeken was really tasty - battered and deep fried oyster mushrooms. The batter was crispy and well seasoned for a good savoury taste. They weren't really much like chicken, but they were excellent fried mushrooms.

The satay was also excellent. There were six skewers. The mushroom chunks were tender and succulent, and the satay was spicy and well seasoned without being too hot from chillies.

We both loved the roti canai. This was the only time we saw a labelled vegan version of this dish during our two weeks in Malaysia, and I ordered it on both occasions because it was so good. The breads were perfect, really flaky and buttery. The sambal had lots of small pieces of tempeh in and was quite spicy. The dahl was well seasoned and quite mild. Our only complaint is that it was quite a small serving of dahl.

My partner also tried the jackfruit roti jala, which was a bit disappointing. The breads were fine, but the net-like style meant that they were missing the flakiness. The coconut raita was nicely flavoured, but the jackfruit curry was underwhelming. Everything else was so good that we're sticking with a 5* rating.

From the dessert counter, I had the brownie which was rich and chocolatey but very much a cake rather than a brownie for me. My partner had the banoffee pie which was sweet and creamy. The caramel was especially good, but the pastry could have been crisper.

We tried the pink colada mocktail, which was really zingy and sweet, and also the crookie party shake, which was a bit much for me in terms of sweetness.

Service was very attentive and fast. We reserved a table for both visits, just to make sure we got in - especially recommended for the weekend as it was busy on Friday evening. The inside is dark, a bit more of a club atmosphere than a restaurant one.

Best vegan Mac n cheese I ever had

Omg this restaurant is 10/10 if I could give it more stars I would. I had the best vegan Mac n cheese of my life here. It’s very expensive but absolutely worth it! The banoffee pie is also absolutely incredible. Absolutely recommend!!!

Amazing Vegan Haven

We came for our final meal in KL and did not want to leave! Everything looked amazing, burgers were great, sweet potato fries and tempeh fingers with satay side were my favourite!

Pros: Food, Ambience, Service

Cons: Costly for Malaysian standards, but still reasonab

Must visit in KL

Food was some of the best vegan food I’ve had, happily accommodated my son’s peanut allergy. The satay appetiser was a particular highlight, even pleased my meat loving grandmother! Cocktails and vibe also very good. It was very busy when we arrived and we were glad to have booked a table.

Incredible

Wow wow wow. Me and my partner shared the nasi lemak, Mac n cheese and the Kung pow "cheeken" (which was a special). They were all incredible. My non vegan boyfriend loved the Mac n cheese, whereas I preferred the nasi lemak (best I've had so far). The staff were all lovely and the food wasn't expensive. Really glad we went there and would deffo recommend.

Solid Vegan/Gluten Free Food

Bit pricey - especially for drinks, but ordered the Nasi Lemak and really enjoyed it. All vegan and many labeled gluten free options. Hipster portland-like vibe.

Okay food, unfortunately rather boring

We had Spicy Tempeh Fingers, Jackfruit Roti Jala, and the Macncheese, which were okay, and were nicely presented. Sadly, all dishes tasted rather boring and the service was rather slow and poor.
Looking at all the other reviews we might have picked the wrong day, but this didn't do it for us.

Pros: Location

BINGO!!!, My lucky day stumbling upon this place.

I was a bit underwhelmed with some of the offerings in KL, until I discovered Hungry Tapir. Over the two weeks I've been in KL, I've eaten here almost every day. Best food, great ambience, perfect location, right near Petaling St market, I can't think of one negative thing to say about Hungry Tapir. Great staff, friendly atmosphere.

They even have a tofu scramble as a starter, best I've tasted. The Berry Kissa smoothie.

They also have a chill-out lounge/cafe not far away. Different vibe, but very good.

Pros: Friendly , Great food, Not expensive

Cons: Not in Melbourne
