Quiet and relaxed setting, delicious Vietnamese food - Edit
Although the staff spoke no English, they were excellent at communicating with us and were super friendly and polite. The food was delicious although we weren’t sure what we were ordering because most of the menu was unavailable, so we asked for what ever they had. It was super cheap too, our dishes were between 2-3 AUD each. It was a super peaceful place to enjoy a meal, getting if the hectic streets of Hanoi.

Great food - Edit
We got here a little late and I don't think they had any customers for a while before us but when we arrived they turned all the lights on in the dining area and were happy to serve us. The nice lady told us what she had left from the menu, we ordered and were very happy with the food we got!
Read moreIt was super tasty and super cheap. The spring rolls are great. I'm not even sure what our main dish was called but it was two of the many noodle soups, they were so good!
The fake meat is like spam but it works well with the dish. We tried to come back a few times but were too late in the evening. Don't miss out on this place!
Pros: All vegan, Really tasty, Amazing value for money

Lovely little find - Edit
At first glance this doesn’t look like a restaurant and is a little confusing but enter into what look likes a small shop and some lovely ladies will great you. They don’t speak English but the menu is in English so it’s easy to get by. The menu was big but only 2 options were available when I went. I was there with a friend so we tried both and they were both incredibly delicious. The place was empty when we arrived but others joined after some time. Very cheap, very tasty and cute atmosphere- would highly recommend!!

Fabulous meal in this clean and spacious restaurant. We were offered the choices of the day “beef style” pho, noodles salad and “beefy slices in a sauce” and fried spring rolls - all awesome and very cheap.

There are really better locations in Hanoi - Edit
Food and staff were not as good as expected. The staff was dismissive and the food (rice with vegetables and soup) was served cold. We did not receive what we ordered, by the way. Nevertheless, portion size was large enough. They also serve alcoholfree beer from Bavaria, which is NOT vegan because of the use of animal products during filtration!

The food is amazing, it’s very clean inside and the ladies are the cutest. They try to explain everything in broken English.

Mixed feelings - Edit
Staff is extremely friendly and the restaurant looks quite nice. Food was not extremely tasty but definitely good. The drinks where good also. What was not good that two rats ran in and out of the dining area over the airconditioning cables. I'm not in favor of killing off rats but here they should take some preventive measures and/ or get some cats.

best organic noodle soup in Hanoi - Edit
Staff is lovely. We found that communication in English was not a problem.
Read moreWe ate here 3 times during our stay in Hanoi.
Had the noodle soup every time, and it was different each time. Lovely flavours and a bargain at 30,000.
They also do an amazing rice mushroom pudding and spring rolls but the offer changes daily.
No written menu.
They also have a small store where they sell organic products at very reasonable price.
The name of the restaurant is actually Tam An Lac. Apparently they have a couple more restaurants around the city, but I'm not sure where and we were told that the staff doesn't speak English there.

Hidden gem - Edit
I went here after my yoga class since the studio is just next door.
Read moreDidn't expect much and got totally surprised by how good it was.
They don't have a menu (at least not in English). The lady who welcomed me spoke English quite well and I could choose between a rice or noodle set menu. I went for the noodles and got a super delicious noodle soup with tofu (which I asked for) and some mock meat. Price was 70k for the dish and a fresh coconut.
The place is nice, quiet and clean. They have several tables to properly sit at.
Will definitely try to go there again.
Update July 26:
I went there today again and was surprised that they offered a buffet but of course didn't say no. They had a lot to choose from (quite a lot of different mock meats but also spring rolls fresh and fried, different noodle dishes, veggies, ...) and it was all again super delicious.
Today it was a bit more difficult with the communication but it worked out and I found out that they offer the buffet every 14th, 15th, 30th and 1st day of the moon calendar (today it was the 14th. apparently).
Price was 100k.
Pros: food is great
Cons: no menu, plastic straws (I brought my own)

Also, there is a shop, so you can buy organic vegetables, any kind of nuts , seeds, vegan cookies, etc.
You should walk 200 meters after the main gate.
Pros: clean, fresh food, cheap for Hanoi!
Cons: maybe a little bit difficult to found.
