It's really nice that they are offering vegan trdelnik but unfortunately when I visited they did not offer any vegan filling. Eating only the trdelnik without any kind of sauce or cream was OK but really dry and boring.

When asked, they said their chocolate is not vegan and suggested the classic chimney cake (sugar & cinnamon). Delicious! Not overly sweet.

After seeing so many shops selling these, I really wanted to try one and was glad to see Happy Cow listed this as one of the only (if not the only) vegan version. Like other reviews stated, there's no explicit signs marking it as vegan.
Read moreI went in the late afternoon and it was just okay, a little too hard for my taste, similar to a churro. I got it with fresh strawberries but not 100% sure if the chocolate syrup on top is vegan.

Vegan option for trdelnik very close to Charles bridge - Edit
The dough is vegan, there is the possibility to add strawberry jam or fresh strawberry. The trdelnik is tasty and nice. I had it only with fresh strawberries, and I missed the jam. The trdenik with fresh strawberries and without strawberry jam was CZK 120 (= € 4.96). Very close to the Charles brigde.

The two options are plain or with jam, you can also add strawberries. It was yummy, but the chimney was a bit hard, didn't feel freshly made.
