I liked it - Edit
It’s not labelled but when asked, the lady was super friendly and told us all their chimney cakes are vegan and she can fill with jam and either strawberries or bananas. We tried another place instead on Karlova but they didn’t had any vegan chimney cakes so it was a great option to have instead. I am glad we can try it and have a vegan version

Vegan option - Edit
Not clear marked but when asked could have the plain with jam, strawberries or banana and a vegan whipped cream.

Not the best one I had - Edit
Busy little place in a touristy area. Compared to the chimney cake I had a while back this one seemed a bit small and the dough not really fluffy, overall a little bit dry. It might be better to look for a place a little bit more outside the city center, as far as I understood it the basic recipe for chimney cakes is always vegan.

Buono ma vuoto - Edit
Interessante per provare il dolce tradizionale in piena città vecchia, però si può solo provare vuoto o con la marmellata di fragole. Leggermente secco ma buono

fun but only one choice - Edit
the trdelnik was a bit dry (compared to chimney cakes i've had in other countries) and there are no toppings options for vegans. but its fun to try regional food!

Chimney cake - Edit
To be frank the whole filled chimney cake with cream and chocolate would have been too much for me.
Read moreThey do offer vegan options but you have to ask. I've seen strawberries.
The dough and therefore the classic/pure chimney cake is vegan.
It was warm and delicious.

Ob die Füllungen vegan sind oder nicht, blieb etwas unklar. Ich habe mich dann für die Variante ohne Füllung entschieden. Lecker Schmecker!

Nice to try - Edit
Only three options. Basic(nothing in it) , strawberry jam or fresh strawberries. The dough was mostly sugar and cinnamon. It was fluffy. So it was nice to try this typical treat, but I would have preferred some more options with vegan ice cream for example

Not what I hoped for - Edit
I went here in an attempt to try the famous Czech Trdelník, but their only vegan options were classic (nothing at all on it) or strawberry jam (lightly smeared on the inside). They don’t have any vegan fillings you see people walking around with.
Read morePerhaps it’s for the best because the actual Trdelník is nothing I’d care to try again. Just another cinnamon bun type treat covered in sugar, and in this case nothing really complimenting it. I’m glad I got to try it for the sake of doing so, but I gave it away to homeless after breaking off a few pieces to try.

Molto buono! - Edit

Vegan Trdelnik - Edit
Both the classic and strawberry jam are vegan, I tried the strawberry and thought it was very nice but it's a shame there are not more options for vegans.

Vegan Chimney Cakes - Edit
One of the few places offering vegan chimney cake. It is not labelled as vegan but if you ask you can get a plain one or one with strawberry(jam) as the dough is vegan. I really liked it but I didn‘t have anything to compare it with.

not worth it - Edit
it's a big no from me. i walked in while 3 workers were there, the lady that seemed to be the actual server was busy so i waited until someone said hello/asked what i wanted while i read the menu. 2 workers gave me the literal kubrick stare like "wtf are you doing here." anyway. got my trdelnik. cold, stale, dry as hell like it was made yesterday. like 8 cut up strawberries in the middle. charged me the same amount as if i got ice cream or whipped cream or chocolate in it like ~$5 usd. bonus points: as i was eating this bone dry catastrophe there was a nasty little curly black hair in the middle of it! lovely. SKIP SKIP SKIP you don't need this go get gelato or a waffle or something explicitly vegan

Must try in Prague - Edit
It seems as if chimney cakes are sold on every street corner in Prague, so its a shame to not be able to have one being vegan. But this place uses soya milk and can clearly show you which are vegan options. Not easy to find as it's not actually called sweet dreams. Look for the 184 red street sign at the top of the shops. The cinnamon and sugar one is really delicious.
