Delicious Options on Separate Vegan Menu! - Edit
This was a great find - It was so refreshing to order from a full vegan menu rather hunting around for the few items that aren't full of animal products.

Amazing Vegan Menu - Edit
For a restaurant that isn’t full vegan they have an excellent vegan menu. So much to choose from. Lots of rolls, vegan fried rice dishes, and even desserts.

Best Sushi Ever - Edit
Absolutely amazing. The party roll is so unbelievably good. I also like the avocado crunch roll and the vegan chicken tempura roll. They have an entirely separate vegan menu with vegan miso soup, hibachi, many other entrées and countless sushi rolls. They even have vegan eel sauce, shrimp sauce, spicy mayo, and Tofutti cream cheese. This is definitely a must. I wish I lived here strictly for the sushi because it's become one of my favorite restaurants during Hurricane Irma.

Amazing food!!
Read moreI would have given a 5 if it was allowed, but 4 is the max for "vegan friendly" places.
All the rolls and dishes we ordered were really amazing, unique and unlike any other roll we've had.
Definitely ask for the vegan menu, it's HUGE.
Among others, they have vegan spicy mayo, vegan "pork", vegan eel sauce, vegan shrimp sauce and many many more!!
The design and service were also flawless.
Can't wait to come again and taste the rest of their dishes.
Pros: Huge vegan menu, All dishes were unique and tasted amazing, Great service, design and presentation
Cons: A bit pricey, but 100% worth it!

What a find! - Edit
I can't express how happy we were to find this place. We were headedback home from a road trip and decided to stop in Jacksonville for the night. A friend recommended Sushiko so we decided to check out before we left town. The service was amazing as was the food. The vegan menu has outstanding selections. Definitely check them out!

5 stars - Edit
(I would give 5 but HC only allows 4 stars for non-veg restaurants). HUGE vegan menu (ask for the vegan menu as it's separate) and so well done. They'll give you a vegan miso soup different from the beef broth soup they give their non-veg patrons. We had the steamed gyoza appetizer, 4 different sushi rolls, and a fruit roll for dessert. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. Definitely recommend!

expensive but on point - Edit
This is a good place to go if you are with somebody else and have about 25 between the both of you to spend on dinner. When you enter ask for the vegan menu, which is just as extensive as the regular menu. You get miso before you even order which is vegan as long as they know you were vegan when you walk in. The rolls all sounded delicious, and hey even have mock meats, and tofu skin. Lots of good fruit sushi too. P.s. They have fried Oreos!

First timer on Sushi - Edit
First let me say. This is the first time I have ever had "sushi" of any kind. This is probably true for all sushi, Dang it is expensive. Paying 8-12 dollars for what is basically 6 bites of rice with some veggies thrown in the middle.
Read moreOk , getting over the the price now.
The food was pretty good, but i went home and made sushi rice and stirred fried some veggies and threw it on top of the rice and it tasted just the same to me.
I would go again because it was more fun to eat with chopsticks and it was a nice place for a conversation.
The employees were ok, they would answer questions but basically acted like they could care less about you being there. ( like a cat sees you but could not care about you)
Pros: Nice Decor, It was fun to eat, Tasted pretty good
Cons: price, but again, paying that much for rice . i a

sushi satisfaction! - Edit
LOVE sushiko. Adorable setting, great location, friendliest upbeat staff, and most importantly an entire vegan menu stuffed with apps, entrees, specialty rolls, even dessert! Dumplings and avocado salad are an absolute must-try. The JVL (Jacksonville Vegan Lovers) roll is beyond. This has been added to our "every time we're in town" list for sure.

BESTEST damned Vegan Sushi in the WORLD - Edit
Yes that's right...the best vegan sushi exists right here in Jacksonville Florida...this place takes its vegan customers seriously...they created a complete menu as big as the menu that is non vegan...always consistently delicious...try the JVL Roll and Dynamite roll and for starters the avocado tempura salad and pan fried dumplings are to die for...it helps makes living vegan in Jacksonville THAT much easier...thank you SUSHIKO for taking vegan seriously!

Finally Vegan Sushi! - Edit
If you are ever in Jacksonville, check out the vegan options at Sushiko Japanese Restaurant. It is not an all vegan restaurant, but it is veg-friendly and they even have an entirely separate vegan menu with many options, just be sure to ask for it.
Read moreWe were given tasty miso soup, which we did not ask for and was free!
We got the Vegan love boat - you get to pick 3 rolls and it also comes with sashimi and nigiri. We chose the JVL Roll, Oishi Roll, and the Veggie Veggie Roll. For the most part, everything looked and tasted magical. Our favorites of the 3 rolls were the JVL Roll and the Veggie Veggie Roll.
When we were done with our food, we were given a plate of vegan fried chocolate Oreo cookies topped with coconut whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate, which we did not ask for and was free, again!

Vegan Sushi makes me so happy - Edit
I have seen places outside of Jacksonville offer vegan sushi, outside of sweet potato roll and avocado roll, and tried to find a place in Jax who did the same but was unsuccessfully. Then I came upon a post on Vegan Jax Love (on Facebook) who kept advertising vegan sushi at Sushiko. The first time I went I didn't see anything different, but didn't know there is a special menu with vegan rolls. So you have to be sure to ask for it. I think I've now tried 6 of them and am working my way through the list .. the garlic roll and JVL are my favorites so far. And they serve fried oreos with coconut whipped cream for dessert .. for free! Very friendly and cozy environment! Highly recommend!

Best Vegan Sushi in the USA! - Edit
If you are in Jacksonville, Florida you MUST try Sushiko! An absolute hidden gem in Avondale with a completely seperate Vegan Sushi Menu (also dont forget about the 8 vegetarian rolls on the regular menu, they are vegan too). They will also make any roll you can think of if you just ask. I repeat, this is not the typical token vegetarian rolls you are used to. They even offer black or brown rice in addition to the normal white rice. They go all out with the presentation...at dinner service they use LED lights and dry ice to light up your plate!
Read moreAll of the vegan rolls are AMAZING! If you want to narrow it down then these are the "NOT TO BE MISSED" rolls: Icy Veggie Roll, Wasabi Peas Roll, Sweet Forest, Garlic Roll, Top Veggie Roll (ask for black rice), JVL Roll and the Fruit Roll!
If you are with at least three people, splurge and share the Vegan Sushi Boat! I have uploaded several pictures (#JVL watermark) so you can see how beautiful their presentation is.
On top of the delicious, fresh, vegan sushi they have the absolute best customer service! The owners (Ellie and Jack) are so attentive, nice, accomodating and even remember all of their customers names! Sometimes they even offer customers free fried oreos with vegan chocolate drizzle and dairy free whip cream!
(***Deserves 6 Stars but Happy Cow will only allow me to rate it at 4 Stars because they serve meat***)
