Serves meat, vegan options available. A neighborhood pub with a deck over the river and is pet friendly. Has vegan chicken nuggets on the children's menu, which can be used in wraps and as 'boneless wings.' Also offers a vegan panini and a plant-based BBQ sandwich, but be warned that it's fried in the same fryer as meatstuff. Previously named Harpoon Louie's. Open Tue-Sun 11:00am-10:00pm. Closed Mon.

Nothing vegan avaliable

Even though the description here includes vegan options when I dropped by there wasn't anything vegan avaliable (not even fries).

Good bar food

The one vegan thing was the bbq sandwich which was really yummy and filling. We also ordered the vegan kids chicken nuggets and the chicken tenders can be ordered as vegan on the app list. I saw the ingredients for the breading and it was vegan. Fries are really good but I doubt that use a separate fryer - most do not. This is not a health food place. It is bar food - take it as such and you won't be disappointed. Heather took our to go order and she was very helpful and kind. The food came quickly for lunch - it was a Monday but they seemed pretty busy with to go orders. We will go back.

Pros: Friendly staff, Good bar food, Quick service

Cons: Not many options

Average

Came here with my mom for lunch. The outside deck is pretty. I got the vegan bbq sandwich and herb roasted potatoes. Reminded me of a sloppy joe, it was different and good. It was what you would expect for pub food. Dive bar vibes. Would go again.

Pros: Pretty cheap

Cons: Not many options

Nice place to enjoy an afternoon

Nice outside deck that is dog friendly with a limited vegan/vegetarian menu.

Pros: I can take my dog on a walk and stop for lunch.

Cons: Smokers

Horrid bar and restaurant on a canal.

Abhorrent. Not even close to being vegan. Vegetarian options are horrid. Everything bathed in oil... even after requesting to not have a lot of oil. My two friends who dined with me are meat eaters and their meals were not even digestible. Run, don’t walk from this place! We had to go to Starbucks around the corner to get the taste out of our mouths. Negative stars would be a better rating. Please take this off Happy Cow app.

Pros: View of a canal

Cons: Service is horrible, Food for all three of us was cold, All three meals were horrible—we couldn’t finish

Don't do it!!!!!! WARNING*******

They are NOT vegan friendly, period! The only thing on the menu is a bbq vegan sandwich. When I asked the server how the sandwich was prepared, she said deep fried then in the grill. In other words, not vegan friendly. When I ordered the salad, it came with croutons. AWFUL! This place must be removed!

OK

I didn't think there were very many vegan options. I ended up just getting a salad with no cheese. The service was okay.

A nice hangout spot

I really like chilling on the deck at Harpoon Louie's with my friends. It is really nice to be able to eat somewhere where all of my friends enjoy going and I can still eat a yummy vegan BBQ sandwich. (there are also multiple vegetarian options such as shepherds pie and more) Harp's is a great place to relax and be with friends.

Pros: Out-Door deck over the river, relaxed atmosphere

Pub With Separate Veg Menu

We tried Harpoon Louie's as part of Jacksonville's No Meat March. The veg menu was on a table card, which was helpful and convenient, although they vegan options were limited, and they were out of some. The veggie burger was fine but nothing special. The BBQ burger and mashed potatoes were terrific. We opted out of fries as they are cooked in the same oil as chicken. Nice beer selection, including some locals on draft. Service was friendly but slow, especially considering the place wasn't full. We liked that we know now a non-smoking place we can play pool.

Pros: beer selection, non-smoking billiards, vegan mashed potatoes

Cons: very limited parking, slow service, cold inside, smokers outside
