Great range too much to choose from! - Edit
Tried to find two other places nearby on this app and ended up here as I was going to go here but thought it was too hard to find in the end used others directions and it was where they said it was in the corner of the basement.

Economical Yummy Local Food - Edit
Their economic rice/noodles with dishes are yummy, and I hadn't known about their laksa, until recently. I tried it and I like it! I like that their laksa is not overly creamy or sweet, but is more like a laksa broth, with the right amount of heat and fragrant spices.

Found by mistake, left happy - Edit
I went into this center looking for Fire Fly because of the reviews. Like all of the food courts, it's a bit challenging to navigate if you don't know where you're going. I was looking around, saw this place with the word Vegetarian on the sign and went to check it out, I couldn't tell if it was Fire Fly or not at first, but the food looked good and so I waited to be next in line.
Read moreThe guy greeted me warmly and could tell I had no idea what I was going to ask for, so he suggested he make something up and I agreed. Huge portion, charged me 4SG. It's cash only (I didn't think of that ahead of time). I didn't have any cash and got really uncomfortable and they just asked me to eat my meal and come back and pay later. Clearly I was not the first foreigner who's done this. When I came back they were all smiles.
I had a collection of vegetables and some delicious fake meat over white rice with a soup. Perfect lunch time meal.
It's close to the office I'm visiting so I may try to find FF again but if I don't, I'm eating here.
Pros: Friendly and helpful, Great portion sizes
Cons: Cash only

Wow wow wow - Edit
Best food I've eaten in a very long time. The staff are so lovely and remembered me when I came back every day for 4 days whilst in Singapore. The buffet is amazing and it's relatively cheap (rice and 3 items was $3.90, and 4 items was $4.90). The faux meats were insanely good, could have eaten a whole bowl of the little brown knots. The laksa was the best I've had in Malaysia and Singapore.
Read moreThe place was a [censored] to find but worth the search.
Tip: search to Ya Kun Kaya Toast (101 Upper Cross St, Level 1 Atrium People's Park Centre, Singapore 058357) and then go down the elevator to the bottom floor and head to the left corner of the building.
Very surprised this isn't on Happy Cow yet because it's a gem, so you are all welcome 🤗

Chaotic but food pretty good - Edit
LOCATION: It's a bit hard to find this place - in the basement, right in the corner and the sign is in Mandarin (look for the English words "Vegetarian" on either side of the main sign". It's very busy, so they are trying to rush you along. It gets very busy and chaotic in some of these less fancy Chinatown shopping malls, so you might end up quite hot.
Read moreNOTE FOR ORDERING: We ordered Mee Goreng, a buffet plate and a samosa and spring roll. The staff don't speak much English, so we were confused when they only gave us the buffet plate, but charged for Mee Goreng. However, after we sat down they brought over the Mee Goreng, so just keep in mind if you order non-buffet they will bring it to you after you've paid and sat down.
PAYMENT: Does not accept pay pass/pay wave from credit/debit cards, so we paid with cash.
FOOD:
Buffet: Got the fish, some fried mock meat, noodles, skewers, samosa and spring roll. All were great, although noodles are plain to make sure you mix them with the other food. You get a choice of noodles or rice with buffet. Comes with a bowl of broth.
Mee Goreng: A lot of sauce, it was drowning in it really. But it was still nice.
Sides: Good samosa and spring roll.
COST: 14 SGD - not as cheap as others said, but they may have been the addition of the sides.
Pros: Variety in buffet, All vegan
Cons: Chaotic, hard to find, Staff don't speak much English, No pay pass/pay wave accepted for cards

Erm...that is not mee goreng. It's a Chinese-styled noodles in gravy. Glad you like it. 🙂

Filling meal under $5 - Edit
Had a brown rice plate with 2 sides and a spring roll. Couldn't tell you which sides I got, as it was more point to select, but it was all good. I initially was asking for one of the noodle dishes but the person assured me the brown rice dish sides were better, I appreciated the nudge.

Tasty homely vegetarian food at affordable prices - Edit
I go here to have lunch whenever I can to fill myself with tasty cooked vegetarian food that is budget friendly. I love how they give generous portions which satisfy my veggies cravings. Lunch times usually see long queue but it moves very fast. The staff are very friendly and efficient. My favorite dishes are the tempeh, all tofu dishes, spring roll and bee hoon. Some tasty familiar Singaporean classics are claypot noodles and hor fun - all worth trying as well.

Affordable vegan food - Edit
I was unsure at first if the place was vegan as i saw the menu said “fish soup” and “seafood” however I overheard the guy explaining to a customer that everything was mock meat and was all vegetarian.
Read moreI also found it hard to find the place as the name of the place was not in English. They also don’t sell drinks so if you want a drink get one before ordering from the vendor across from this one.
The dish I ordered was crispy noodles, it had tofu cooked two ways and also mock pork which was really nice.
It was super affordable too at $4.80 about £3. I will definitely be returning later in the week.
Pros: Vegan food, Very fast food, Very good price
Cons: Not easy to spot it’s vegan, Doesn’t sell drinks

This place has lovely food. It is set in a basement food court in China Town. We felt a little out of place as this was clearly very popular with locals and there wasn't many tourists, however this added to the authenticity. Everyone we encounter was very kind, especially the server at SuManYuan.
