Don't visit this worst place - Edit
Too high prices, Definitely not worth for price. We paid rs. 1900 for 2 passion fruit juices and it contains rs. 700 as service charge. These cunning people think that we are rabbits.

Not vegan - Edit
I visited here today and spoke directly to the owner who advised they couldn’t guarantee any options on their menu would be vegan friendly

the mocking duck mocked us - Edit
it is a really smart business move to call jackfruit chop suey „mock duck“ to get some veggie-not-cause-they-dont-like-the-taste vegetarians like me to pay 11€. but I respect that.
Read morefor the introverts: there is a band that comes to every table to play a song and yes, they will also come to you. we wished for a sri lankan lovesong and that was lovely!!:)
the oyster sauce (served as „mock duck mushroom in oyster sauce“) is real oyster sauce that in fact contains oysters. they left it out at request but I think it‘s a little odd to put that in a vegan/vegetarian dish.
fancy view, fancy place at all, and after climbing up that hill you will be hungry anyways. but it the end, pretty f*ing expensive for what it is, so … wouldn‘t do it again. but at least it was not spicy.

Lovely food, few downsides - Edit
The food we had here was delicious and the views over the city are incredible.
Read moreHowever, when we first arrived and I asked what veg menu items were vegan, the waiter said it was only the vegetables. I queried why this was as I had seen on here that the mock duck dishes could be vegan, the waiter checked with the kitchen and said it was cause it was cooked in butter. I asked if it could be cooked in oil instead and we finally got somewhere!
We had the two mock duck dishes, boiled rice and spring rolls. Everything was really tasty.
This was however by far and away the most expensive place I ate at in all of Sri Lanka.
It would be nice if the options were clearly marked on the menu or the staff were made aware of exactly what is / can be vegan.
Pros: Delicious food, Incredible views
Cons: Unclear on the vegan options, Expensive

Beautiful restaurant overlooking the city of Kandy. Loved the mock duck dishes! Expensive, though. A plate of chips costs 1750 Rupees!
