New Wave - Edit
I'm a regular visitor of their other branch, so it was great to see them expand to Sunderland.
Read moreA lot of work has gone into renovating the old museum cafe, resulting in a very spacious and welcoming environment.
On the menu, the vegan options are clearly labelled, but I was disappointed to see that they serve meat here. I'm hoping this is short term, whilst they look to establish themselves.
We popped in for coffee and cake, but the one vegan option had sold out, so it was just coffee on this occasion. Surprisingly, the range of cakes and treats was limited, in comparison to the other branch. A missed opportunity, which I hope they reconsider.
Pros: Neurodiversity , Staff / Interior, Inexpensive
Cons: Serves meat, Not many treats

Very disappointing about the meat. May have to suggest a listing category change to vegan friendly if it’s a permanent thing

Disappointing mate. I've provided an update to amend.
