They have seatings indoors and outdoors as well.

Absolutely delicious buffet! - Edit
Delicious buffet with many cold and warm options and for a very good price. You choose a size of a bowl or plate and can only go once (it’s not an all you can eat place) but the bowls can fit a lot of food in. I went here with work colleagues, none of which were vegan or even vegetarian, and they all loved it and said it was the best meal of our trip.

Good vegan buffet - but it gets a bit repetitive upon return visits - Edit
We had already been to Sattgrün in Düsseldorf, which had the same food in the buffet, and now this on in Cologne also/only had the same choices. The food is good, the price is good, they have good spritzers (with rhubarb juice), and their coffee is good, but a bit more variation would be welcome.

I’d strongly recommend this restaurant for a quick takeaway or lunch. nice staff, lots of fresh alternatives for any taste. very good considering the price!

also some interesting options that you don’t always find in a cheap buffet id highly recommend the fried cauliflower and the greek style soy strips among others.

So gut! Man kann eine Bowl mit verschiedenen Salaten erstellen (meiner Meinung nach mit 6,90 für eine große Bowl ziemlich preiswert) oder einen Teller mit verschiedenen warmen Speisen füllen. Die Auswahl ist riesig und vielfältig (Currys, Chili, Nudeln, Gulasch, ….) und alles schmeckt ausnahmslos gut. Obwohl es Selbstbedienung ist, ist der Service sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Atmosphäre ist sehr gemütlich.

One of the Best Buffets of my Life - Edit
I went here for lunch on a Saturday and the medium-sized restaurant (seating for maybe 30-40 people) was nearly full. There was a big seating area outdoors that I can imagine is very nice in summer.
Read moreThe interior design was modern and minimalistic. The walls, chairs and sofas were all black, making it the most prominent color. On one of the walls "Until every cage is empty" was written in big letters. Nice.
After being slightly confused what to do I found the start of the buffet and a sign explaining how everything worked. There were three differently sized plates for 10,90€, 12,90€ and 14,90€ respectively. I picked a medium sized plate.
I love buffets in general and this one did not disappoint. Everything looked absolutely delicious and I had to restrain myself to not take a bit of everything. I ended up getting a magnificent mix of things that looked more appetizing than almost anything I've seen in my life. It tasted just as good as well, if not better.
What an absolutely amazing concept Sattgrün is. I wish there were more restaurants like this.

You get a plate, available in the sizes, and can load it once for a flat rate. They offer soups, salads, and warm dishes, all of which are very tasty and varied. They also have good-looking cakes, which I may try next time :)

My third time in Köln, and my third time at this restaurant. Has been amazing every time. I think it is great value for money and enjoy the huge variety of options. It is a self serve place, so perhaps not the first option if you are looking for fine dining. Despite this I still think the atmosphere is great.

Wonderful place to eat at. Grab a plate, fill it up then pay at the counter. The tofu was a bit hard but otherwise it was all perfect, especially the Thai curry.

As others have said it is a little small and usually busy (always a good sign!) but a nice cozy atmosphere. One complaint I would have is there isn't any cheap drink options if you don't want alcohol or coffee/tea

Die Auswahl ist riesig, sodass man sich den Teller viel zu voll packt. Man wird also satt und hat viel probiert. Zu Stoßzeiten wird es sehr voll und man steht lange am Buffet. Trotzdem sehr empfehlenswert!
