You chose 1 of the 3 plate sizes and pay for the size. Getting the middle size plate and filling it up is more than enough for one adult, I was super full and happy afterwards. There are many great options of salads, warm dishes, soups, toppings and cake. Cakes are not included in the menu, but are freshly baked and good money for size/value as well. My omni friend was happy and didn't even realize there was no meat inside.

Ich bin eigentlich kein Fan von Buffetrestaurants aber das ändert sich mit Sattgrün gerade grundlegend. Es war alles super lecker, super frisch und vor allem mal Proteine satt. Konnte mich bei der Auswahl kaum (eigentlich gar nicht) entscheiden und hatte dann mit meinem gut gefüllten Teller richtig zu kämpfen! War dann aber sehr satt und sehr glücklich. Bitte schnell eine Filiale in Berlin aufmachen!

El concepto está genial pero al final se mezclan los sabores en el plato. Permiten “amontonar” pero es un poco caos. He estado en otros buffets que permitían levantarte a servirte más veces, lo que mejora ese tema.

I'm not normally a huge fan of buffet style places, but the food here was excellent, and well worth checking out. The place is mostly self-service: choose which size plate you want, fill up with cold and hot food, and pay at the counter.
Read moreThere's a pretty wide selection of food to choose from, but I recommend skipping most of the cold food (which they put at the front of the line) and loading up on the roast potatoes and cauliflower, which are particularly good. I also had a glass of Riesling which was fantastic. The only downside really is that the way it's laid out makes it very difficult to see what's available without walking past the queue.

Petits prix adaptés au contenant et non à la quantité de nourriture, tu peux faire une pyramide dans ton assiette, c'est ok tant que cela rentre dans le récipient, le prix reste le même hahaha, donc super abordable, bonne nourriture, accueil chaleureux et la phrase "Until every cage is empty" ❤️💙💚

It's not one of the best restaurants in Germany by any means. It's perfectly competent, there's nothing actually wrong with it, but it's not got much in terms of character. It's sort of like a more varied but somehow less exciting Tibits (I'm basing this on my memories from before the London branch closed). It's certainly disappointing after going to Hiller in Hannover the night before, which is a real treasure. It suits Köln though. I struggle to imagine a great restaurant existing there. They've got a great concert hall and apparently that's about all they can manage.

A small group were staging a protest in advocacy of veganism outside the train station, four of them standing in a circle holding television screens displaying abattoir footage, and playing R*******d through a speaker. They were wearing Anonymous masks, like teenagers used to do in 2008. I found the whole scene quite sad. The place of veganism in society and the forms of vegan activism have changed considerably in the last 17 years, largely for the better, and Gary still behaves exactly the same, as though time left him behind. Perhaps it left Cologne behind too.

One of the best in Germany - Edit
The best restaurant we visited in Germany. Pay for a plate and then put as much as you can on it, make the most of it! You have a choice of cold cuisine with salads and hot cuisine with different sauces. Both taste great. For dessert, we had a chocolate cake with cherries, which was also delicious. Definitely recommend!

You pick a plate size (small, medium or large), put and whatever food you like on your place and pay at the register.
I especially recommend:
- roasted cauliflower
- roasted pepper
- corn
- salted baked potatoes(!)
If we stayed longer than a few days in Cologne, we would’ve definitely come back here 🌱

It's easy to eat too much here. The buffet is medium priced, but the plate system makes it well worth it (or, depending on you, kind of a steal...).

P.s: can be very romantic (met my ex-fiance there), maybe you'll meet your forever partner there 🙃

This isn't the restaurant's fault, but please be careful to watch your stuff at all times in the outdoor sitting area.
Read moreI was here with a group of people and one of our bags was stolen by a thieve (and returned without money and ec cards later). The outdoor area is a public place and people will pass by the tables and talk to you - some might just be honest homeless persons and beg for money, but some might try to distract you to steal your valuables in a moment of inattention, like it happened to us.
The food is awesome, yummy, healthy, I can totally recommend it and I would go here again - but probably rather sit inside or with my stuff attached directly to my body. I advise you to do the same.

This is a buffet style restaurant where you select a plate size and heap on as much as possible - the value here is excellent! Plenty of options including soups and a wide variety of hot and cold dishes - plus drinks, cakes and other snacks.

Very good vegan place near central train staton - Edit
I had 90 minutes between trains at Köln Hbf (main train station), and a local friend recommended I hang out at this place. Good recommendation. Nice salad bar, really nice soups, nice buffet, and all vegan. I got a huge bowl of Lentil Soup, with really good bread, and a Tea. Very filling, and very reasonably priced. The staff were also quite friendly. There was plenty of outdoor seating under large umbrellas, which was welcome on this beautiful sunny afternoon.
