So many vegan options it was dizzying! - Edit
Loved our brunch here. Truly a wide array of vegan options. Almost everything on the menu could be made vegan. Staff were lovely and the food was grand.
Read moreWe had the full vegan breakfast and a toastie that was on special (haggis, cheese and peppercorn sauce) the toastie was our favourite and was so delicious. The big breakfast was good!
According to my Scottish companion the square sausage was on point! Apparently the haggis was not as close but it seemed to be made in house and was still very yummy.

Amazing brunch - Edit
Would give 5 stars if the app would let me. So good I went back every day we were there 😂
Read moreThe vegan food is phenomenal, the whole cake display is vegan, and the staff were so aware of what veganism is - to the extent that when I ordered a latte made with honey they immediately said “so we’ll make it with agave” before I could ask for them to omit the honey.
I was defeated by the French toast, it was amazing and a huge portion. I also had the vegan breakfast muffin which was so good, and a babe-freeLT sandwich which was beautifully seasoned.
Pros: So much choice. Like, an unreal amount. , Classic breakfast/brunch options , Staff were friendly and knew their alternatives
Cons: Omni pals will be disappointed-not much non-vegan, £4.30 for an 8oz latte… it was amazing tho, No parking nearby, 10 minute walk up a slope

Great vegan breakfast - Edit
Loads of vegan options, most the menu could be made vegan. We had the full vegan breakfast and it kept us full until tea time. Not too greasy and good to have the vegan haggis and potato scone as well as square sausage. We quite liked the slightly strange egg substitute! Also do vegan cakes but sadly too full to try one!

Not eaten a square sausage in decades, this was a tasty treat! Had the bagel, avocado and garlic mushrooms too, nice combination!

Decent for brunch - Edit
Edit: June 2025 - My last review was 2016, and I gave it 4 stars. I've dropped it down to 3 stars, as their menu has changed and though service was good and a good amount of options, for a non-vegan place I'm not at a 4 star mind anymore. The menu is fine, but quite basic. Admittedly, vegan brunch in the city centre isn't easy to find, but most of the options I could easily chuck together myself at home. I'm not sure what their "scramble" is, it's kind of like yellow mashed potato. I fancied French toast, but the only menu option was having it with rhubarb & custard, which didn't appeal.

Great vegan brunch! - Edit
There’s so many vegan options here! I think they have a vegan version of almost everything on the menu. We got the vegan breakfast and the vegan bagel and both were great! Will be going again :).

Really good breakfast. - Edit
We've been here a few times now, as we always try and visit when we're in Glasgow. This time I had pancakes with vg bacon, square sausage and vegan egg. Really enjoyed it, and it kept me full all day. Nice to be able to get vg pancakes, my partner had the bagel and that was good too. Plenty of options, and a nice hot drink selection.

Best Vegan Square Sausage! - Edit
Rose & Grant's has been my favourite brunch spots for a number of years now. I think they do the best vegan square sausage! The vegan ultimate bagel or muffin is my go-to.
Read moreThey always have a great vegan cake selection which they switch up regularly. The staff are friendly and it's dog friendly. You can also buy packs of their square sausages to take home!
Some have mentioned that service is slow which I can understand at times. But the staff are all friendly that I would just go up to the counter and ask if I need anything in particular.
Although it's not fully vegan, it's still one of my favourite cafes. It's also a great place to go to if you're looking for a cafe to go to with non-vegan friends.
Pros: Vegan square sausage, Great selection of cakes, Dog friendly

Gone downhill - Edit
I used to go all the time and absolutely loved it but sadly it's gone downhill. It's recently come under new owners and initially when things seemed a little chaotic I put it down to teething issues and kept coming back but it's been months now and it's consistently disappointing.
Read moreThere's still a good range of vegan options and most of their cakes are vegan. However they've changed their vegan scrambled egg and it's actively really unpleasant. The cakes are now made in house which I was pleased about initially but they're not all vegan anymore, not brilliant cakes and not very good value for money. Every time I visit these days service is really slow, staff seem unhappy and the space just seems chaotic and disorganised. Today for example the cafe wasn't especially busy but I waited nearly 20 minutes for a cup of tea and a slice of cake, meanwhile staff chatting, cleaning, restocking etc. When I got my cake it was lemon drizzle but didn't really taste of lemon despite having lemon pips in it. The last time I went for food I'd nearly finished my meal by the time the person I was with even received theirs. Things just seem to constantly be slow or gone wrong. It's such a shame because the food is mostly still good and I really want to like it as much as I used to but I'm not sure I'll be back

Nice breakfast spot - Edit
Popular breakfast spot, almost everything on the menu can be made vegan. Dog-friendly, nice music and relaxed vibe. Quick service. I had the vegan breakfast muffin and it was tasty, I even liked their controversial vegan "egg", the whole thing was just too salty (I think it was mainly the square sausage that had too much salt). I will definitely visit again for the French toast!

Great Cafe with Vegan Options - Edit
I really enjoyed the full vegan breakfast, and they had a large selection of vegan cakes. My friend said their meat options were the best if you need to accommodate non-vegans.

Atmosphere and food okay, coffee bad - Edit
The staff were accommodating of people in our party who had allergies, and there was an okay range of vegan food on the menu. However, the food itself was pretty average (the the vegan "egg" I had was unappetising) and the coffee was bad. Value for money is okay.

Mixed bag - Edit
I’ve been here loads over the years but this review is based on how it is under the new ownership now they’ve been running it a few months.
Read moreThe space has been done up so is nicer than it used to be but still lacks anything soft to help with the acoustics so it can feel loud. They now bake their own cakes which I love because it means it’s not stuff you can get elsewhere but the cakes are no longer all vegan so there’s less choice.
The menu is still much the same but the vegan scramble has now changed and it’s tasteless mush which means a lot of the menu isn’t as good as it used to be because it’s heavily featured in the vegan options. The food service has got really slow, I’m commenting based upon multiple visits. I don’t go in for takeaway morning rolls anymore because it's so slow.
I still have a lot of love for this place, its so vegan friendly and the staff are all
lovely. But I see it more as a tea and cake place now than breakfast.

Cute café - Edit
Lovely place, really friendly staff. Plenty of food options, well worth a visit. My friend had the vegan french toast which she said was very nice, I had scrambled "egg", toast and vacon. I personally wasn't a big fan of the "egg" as I enjoy scrambled tofu more but that's just personal opinion, would visit again!
