Great meal! - Edit
This was a fantastic restaurant for our Valentine's meal! Complimentary drink for the occasion and then when we started ordering he immediately clocked that we were vegan and made sure to make note of it!
Read moreWe ordered 2 masala Poppadums, bindhi dopiaza, channa aloo saag, plain naan, garlic naan, sada rice, 2 brownies with ice cream and 2 soft drinks and the bill was £70 - I thought this was very reasonable for the location of restaurant and also the high standard of the food.
I have eaten a lot of Indian food and this is some of the best I've had, you can tell that it's very authentically cooked with proper ingredients and the naan was the best I've ever had.
After we paid our bill, one of the waiters caught us at the door to tell us about 2 tasting nights they have coming up in April and September and said it would be lovely to see us! Genuinely great customer service and genuinely great Indian food!

Vegan menu - Edit
Always nice to see a separate menu for food, including breads.
Read moreI had a stir fried North Indian dish which was really tray, rice and aloo paratha. All good.
Popadoms to start and I would recommend the lime pickle.
Visited again and I had to wait longer than normal and asked the manager why? He explained they clean down all the surfaces to avoid allergens and make sure everything was cooked separately. Impressed.
He suggested it’s worth mentioning you are vegan when biking as it helps them.

Hit and miss - Edit
The ambience in the restaurant was nice and the chutneys and sauces we got with our dishes were tasty but our mains were lacking in flavour and we thought the food was overpriced—£6 for a scoop of ice cream and one gulab jamun. Service was friendly though.

World-class vegan Indian cuisine - Edit
Really brilliant, tasty and dynamic vegan Indian food. A huge selection, all clearly marked on the menu. Starters, mains, sides, and desserts all to a high standard- the owner even has vegan cheesecake and brownies made in-house!
Read moreThe owner Joseph Joseph is a lovely chap, and a very informative guide on the food, calling from both North and South Indian cuisine.
I don’t think you’ll get a better vegan Indian dining experience in Glasgow/ possibly the world!

Pros: City centre location, High standard of cooking & customer service, Vegan wines available
Cons: Could be a few more vegan options?

Hyped menu but service lacking - Edit
We tried Madha after various recommendations and found service lacking. Staff member could not understand us and was a little forgetful. What I thought I ordered from menu didn’t really match what was served - my vegan brownie dessert certainly wasn’t a brownie but an iced dessert of some kind. Portions seemed small too. Tasty food but service was a let down, and portions weren’t good value.

Wow, fantastic experience here - Edit
Came for a family dinner to Madha upon recommendation and we were blown away by the food, service, and variety of curries on offer. Quality meal and I especially loved that they had such a great understanding of veganism, with an entirely vegan menu separate to avoid any confusion. Everything was marked very clearly if vegan, gluten free or vegetarian.
Read moreFor my starter, the samosa was delicious on a bed of chickpeas (yum). We also shared pappadams accompanied by a variety of chutneys- which they substituted yoghurt sauce for mango chutney to make vegan for me. The tofu chettinad sauce was rich and full of flavour, but I wish it had more tofu in it. For breads, I shared a dosa (see photos) for the first time, which was surprisingly very tasty and also a garlic naan. The vegetable fried rice and cumin rice were both nice too. I visited here as the only vegan with five omnis and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.
Highly recommend visiting for an Indian meal with great service too- thanks Joseph for our positive experience visiting Madha for the first of many times.
Pros: Vegan wine options on drinks list, Separate vegan menu, Lots of vegan dessert options
Cons: Only one samosa in starter, Only a few pieces of tofu in my curry, Pricey

Best Indian food in Glasgow - Edit
I’ve been going to Madha frequently since they first opened and have never been disappointed. Their vegan options have increased into a full vegan menu and every single thing is delicious! Nothing is too much trouble and the staff treat us like old friends. We love going there and can’t recommend the food highly enough

Return visit - Edit
I was introduced to Madha on a work visit to Glasgow, as i was the only vegan in the party. I was so surprised by how good it was that i flew back months later to take my partnwr to it. They have an extensive vegan menu with desserts and wines on offer, and being from London i found their prices quite good. The flavours are amazing, especially like the tofu saag and the potatoe filled bread which i had not come across before. If in Glasgow definitely worth a visit!

Tasty, but expensive/average service - Edit
Went here because they had a vegan menu on offer. Got there around half 7 on a Sunday night to find we're the only customers, that and the lack of music really dampened the atmosphere. Waiter took our order without writing it down, but mentioned vegan several times. Then had to later check we'd ordered the sag tofu rather than the paneer. He then accused us of telling him we wanted the paneer which we felt was a little rude. Apart from that food was tasty if a little pricey/small portions.

Absolutely great restaurant - Edit
This restaurant is an absolute must if you want high-quality Indian food in Glasgow. You can ask for the specifically vegan menu but even the normal one shows a huge selection of dishes marked as vegan.
Read moreThe masala dosa is very recommendable and the vegetable curries are great as well - they are all spiced very interestingly and each dish tastes very different from the other. Even naan is vegan, which is not the case in many other Indian restaurants.
If you are on a budget, consider coming for lunch, where you get a starter + main for ten pounds. At dinner time you should expect to spend about 12 pounds for a main (masala dosa or curry + rice or naan). There are cheaper places in the area, but the money is well spent here!
Pros: Amazing indian food, Perfectly spiced, Lovely service
